About us

Northern Virginia Insulators is a U.S. Armed Forces veteran owned and operated insulation company focused on providing excellent customer service, value and professional workmanship. Northern Virginia Insulators was established on the basis of integrity and hopes of earning their customers trust in the process of servicing them. We will give you the fairest price in the industry and if by chance we are undersold, we will make every effort possible to meet any competitors price. We don't practice up-selling to our customers on services they don't need. We will investigate your home for possible solutions and advise you on the most affordable and economically sound ways for improving your living conditions. We specialize in dry insulation applications to include blown-in and rolled/batt solutions. Armed with an array of insulation products, we will discuss the positives and negatives of each option until we find the product that suits you. We are a small company with no vision to become the largest insulation house in the area. We want to bring you a personal and up close approach to servicing your needs. Retaining that personal appeal when communicating with our customers is important to us. We don't want our customers feeling lost in the process of servicing them. Estimates are performed by the Owner and all work is performed by or supervised by the Owner as well. Customers will have direct contact with the owner of the company from start to finish of all projects. In addition, Northern Virginia Insulators does not use subcontractors. We won't trust our work in the hands of those with no vested interest in the results you see and ultimately live with. Improving your living conditions and giving you peace of mind that the work was done with care and accuracy is our primary goal. Appointments are available 7 days a week.

Services we don't offer

We currently do not offer Spray Foam as a primary insulator. We do use Spray Foam to seal small areas but we do not offer it on a large scale.

Brad and his crew did an excellent job. Brad called the day before the work was to be performed to see if they could start a little early due to a chance of thunderstorms. When they arrived they first put down tarps on the carpet and stairs in the house. They did an excellent job of protecting our house. Brad built a small space in the attic for storage. They removed the insulation, vacuumed and air sealed the attics. He the spayed in the new Cellulose insulation. They did a great job of cleaning up. We are perfectly happy with the job.

Northern Va. Insulation Company removed old insulation and installed new insulation in our attic and crawl space of a new home we were renovating. This is the second time we used them and they have always done a great job in a timely manner. I highly recommend this company.

Really pleased with everything regarding this visit. We needed additional insulation in our attic. Brad was very knowledgeable answered all questions and provided suggestions and alternatives. I was kept well informed about the scheduling. Everyone was very professional and it seemed that they enjoyed working together - always a plus. All was tidied up at the end. I would definitely recommend this crew.

Description of Work: Was very prompt in returning my call, came out, very polite, evaluated the job, promised an estimate within 3 days, and then never heard from him again. Does not bode well for future business transactions, I called another company.

Ms. [Member Name Removed] I apologize for you not having a favorable experience with us. We did send out an estimate on Dec 7th. That was two days after our inspection of the areas to be insulated. It is quite possible that the estimate found it's way into a "junk" mail folder or the email address we had for you on file was incorrect. The estimate however was not kicked back to us so we don't know for sure if the estimate was delivered or not. We generally do follow-ups on estimates sent out after 30 days. We try to give ample time to folks to gather estimates from a number of companies before making a decision. We try to give our customers some space in that regard. Time for collection and evaluation. In your review, you stated you called, but we don't have record of a call. I am looking at the phone records for you and the only calls we have incoming and outgoing are on that date of the actual walkthrough. There are no calls after Dec 5th. That is the day we conducted the inspection. There are no voicemails either. Once again, I am sorry you are displeased with us. I'm sorry that your experience led to a poor review. We try our best to service everyone the best way possible. Had we had the chance to speak by phone before you submitted this review, I think we could have avoided the poor marks. Your estimate either found its way into a "junk" email folder or it was delivered to a wrong address. Unfortunately, no communication was reached after the initial consult.

Description of Work: I engaged this company to remove and replace insulation in the attic. Initial contact with Brad was polite and informative. I needed to have a new ceiling as well so the insulators had to coordinate with the drywall company. Brad and his counterpart worked quickly and kept me informed of entire process. I am so thankful for their honesty and hard work.

Description of Work: Installed sheet insulation in the upstairs portion of an older Cape Cod house. Several other companies I called did not do this kind of work. Norther Virginia Insulators completed the work on time, very quickly and at what I thought was a very good price for the time and materials it took. They were friendly, courteous, professional and honest. They did a very good job of installing the insulation and cleaning up the mess caused by such a job. Significant improvement in the home. I would certainly call them again without hesitation for any insulation needs.

Description of Work: After this last harsh winter,we had them insulate our three basement walls that were never insulated (home is 27 years old). We also had them insulate the ceiling of the spare bedroom in the basement. They were great and gave us very detailed estimates. The job was completed timely, professionally and they cleaned up after their work. It's been several months and we love the basement now. Would highly recommend.

Description of Work: Huge Job of removing original attic insulation consisting of blown in cellulose & fiberglass batts installed in 1958. Outstanding attention to detail in removing every last speck. Barry was especially kind to discover and present me with my missing ballet slipper from the 60's. Job well done. Description of Work: Provided an attic re-insulate for daughters 1949 aged home. Appoint time was prompt, professional and courteous. Best price of three quotes and good suggestions to improve on planned browning and removing planks to get hard to reach spaces. Work done as planned with the necessary cleanup. I would use them again.
