ARKO movers were extremely polite and professional. They moved my mother's items quickly, efficiently and with care. We were extremely pleased with their service.

It was a very hot day. The three men arrived, walked through the house to identify which items were to be moved and began working. They worked very hard and quickly but were very careful to ensure our furniture was not damaged nor the house! They did an excellent job and highly recommend them. Thanks for the great experience.

This is the second time I have used ARKO Moving. Very professional in the way they handled wrapping and transporting all the furniture and boxes. I HIGHLY recommend ARKO Moving. I would use them again if I ever move again (hope not). The movers were very courteous and asked where we wanted things put.

I contacted ARKO because they had a Big Deal offer for either a 2-man crew and truck for 4 hours for $300 or a 3-man crew and truck for 3 hours for $360. Work beyond those timeframes would cost $120/hour. I was on the fence, so I spoke directly with Arthur, who runs the administrative side of the business, and he convinced me that it would be more cost effective to go with the 3-man crew. To get straight to the point, I took his advice and he was right. Nick called me from the road and he and his crew met me at the storage unit within the time window that we'd agreed on. I should mention that the clock didn't start on my 3 hours until Nick and I surveyed the contents of the storage unit and he told me the plan for how everything would be loaded. I wasn't charged for the time they were on the road, from Fairfax to Rockville, in FRIDAY AFTERNOON TRAFFIC. The guys made short work of loading A LOT of stuff onto the truck and securing it. What do I mean by a lot, you ask? A large bedroom dresser, an overstuffed chair and ottoman, two heavy stereo cabinets, a large oak kitchen hutch, an oak table, a rocking chair, a treadmill, 2 canoes (yes, canoes), and approximately 50 boxes of books and clothing. They had it loaded and ready to go in just under an hour. It took about the same amount of time for them to unload once they arrived at my home. The entire process took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Throughout the process, the moving crew never stopped. It was hot and very humid, but they worked efficiently, they were careful with our stuff, and they were unfailingly courteous and professional. They did an outstanding job and I recommend them without qualification.

This is the second time I have used ARKO Moving. This was a difficult move to move from one apartment to another--both located on the fourth floor. The movers arrived a little late but called in advance to let me know. The owner emailed me in advance to get the particulars of what was to be moved and the respective locations. The crew worked very **** ** a very hot July day. The owner, Arthur, even showed up later in the day to help. I was very pleased with how well things were wrapped and how careful they were. I purchased the move as an A/L Big Deal even though I knew there would be extra charges involved. I had no problems and this company made a very stressful project (moving) a real breeze.

We used ARKO Moving to pack us and move us. We just bought a pre construction home, so we sold our current home and moved into an apartment while the new home is being built. ARKO packed us, moved us into storage, and the apartment we are renting until the new home is built. They were hard working, friendly, professional, and experienced. There is absolutely no way we could have done it without them. I highly recommend them to anyone and will be using them again when it comes time to move out of storage and the apartment and into our new home.

From the first time I contacted Arthur he was helpful, professional and very polite. He helped me to determine how many hours our move would take based on the number and size of the boxes we had. He was great to work with prior to the move providing confirmation and a call on the actual moving day. He arrived right on time with an excellent team, each introduced themselves to us and were so polite and professional. I have never seen a team of movers work harder! They loaded multiple boxes on the dolly at one time and carefully but so very quickly loaded them into the truck. They were so efficient and hard working I was just so impressed. They did a fantastic job and we will most likely use them again to move the items back when the basement is finished. If you want a great moving team for a great price this is the company to use!! We talked and emailed back and forth several times to iron out the details. Arthur was always very responsive and patient - I had several questions. They had some truck trouble, but they notified me in plenty of time to let me know they would be coming later than originally scheduled. They did arrive on time and got to work right away. Now, I must tell you I am VERY organized, things were all packed and shrink wrapped with the exception of the sofa and mattress. They offered me options for those two items - very nice. The crew was very efficient and courteous. Even though they smoked, I noticed they never smoked in the truck (don't want cigarette smoke on your household goods), or on the property once they arrived at my home. I let them know I was on a very tight budget and they did everything they could to help me stick to my budget. They finished the job on time and on budget to customer satisfaction. Thank you ARKO.

Due to the military I have moved 10 times over the past 12 years. I have done all sorts of moves to include local, state to state, and international. ARKO is hands down the best moving company I have ever used. First, they were able to fit me into their schedule even though I only gave them two days notice. I went with the Angie's List deal of two men and one truck for three hours at a cost of $250. I got several other quotes which ranged from $500 to $700. I also appreciated that I was able to just give the representative a quick rundown over the phone off what I have and he told me the three hour deal would be enough. On the day of the move, I got a call saying they would be late because their office is located next to a factory, and when the train comes to pick things up, they are blocked in. Since this only caused them to be 45 minutes late and was completely out of their control, I would have been content with just the phone call. Instead, they showed up with an extra mover at no extra charge! Honestly, what other company does that these days! The movers were extremely polite and professional, and they work HARD. These guys were moving with a purpose from start to finish. They came in, developed a plan for how they were going to load everything up, and got to work. They had my whole place done in an hour and a half. There were some things I wanted to move in my truck, such as my TV and some clothes. One of the movers helped me carry everything down to my vehicle and pack everything in, even though they could have made an extra $70 if they wrapped and transported my TV. We took separate routes to my new house because they had to be careful driving under certain bridges. They still beat me. I felt bad when I showed up and they were standing around waiting for me to unlock the house. They unloaded everything, working just as quickly as before, and were done in no time. When they finished, the total time of the move was 3:15. When I signed the initial paperwork, there was a clear clause that anything over the three hour limit was $100 an hour. Given how hard they worked, and the fact that I finally had a move where none of my furniture or belongings were damaged at all, I was fully prepared to pay. They didn't charge me! He said that we were close and we might as well just call it even. Like I said, this is, by far, the BEST moving company I have ever used. Don't even bother getting quotes from anyone else, these are the guys you want.

They came on time. there were 3 of them. They filled the truck. I had sent an email of how many boxes and names of ea. piece of furniture. They unpacked my apt pretty fast. I had a 2 level unit. I went to the 2nd level where there were 1 person, the supervisor. They were not suppose to move my pictures. There was a picture with a glass broken. They said they didn't break the glass. He was so argumentative. He called his owner, and he said if he said he didn't break it - he didn't break it. I have enough art to open gallery and I value my artwork. I don't have broken glass on my floor. Because I have so many pictures, I didn't realize right away that several pictures were missing. A couple of were bought for more than $800 25 yrs. ago. There could have been as many as 2 other boxes missing with silverware, etc. I had a police officer investigate. His conclusion was that they most likely lost by the movers. The cooperate owner/manager; Arthur would not even talk to the police officers. They were totally uncooperative with the police and would not talk to them. I'm not sure if they talked to the movers. They were not suppose to touch the pictures. There wasn't any type of checkout once they delivered my furniture or checking for scratches, etc. The move took 10 hours in what should've taken 6. After things were stolen, I realize how little documentation there was of the move.

Selected this mover because of a special deal on Angie's List. Read the reviews before I purchased the deal and reviews were all positive. They were so professional and courteous. They took great care in blanketing and wrapping my furniture. Took special care not to damage any walls. Worked fast and efficiently. I can highly recommend ARKO moving to every one.

Due to snow they were slammed, trying to make up for the delays. However, I was able to be squeezed in with only 3 days notice. Nothing was broken and they explained any additional fees upfront. Great job.

As noted, the crew was great! They were responsive to a very last-minute change request, and adjusted their schedule without any hassle or fee. They were very efficient in moving things, and very careful with all fragile items. It's clear they know exactly what they're doing and run a very professional operation. I would gladly recommend ARKO Moving to anyone!

Workers were professional and methodical. Furniture was well-protected and thoroughly secured with blankets and tape, and movers discussed packing options with us for delicate items, such as TV without a box. They were also up front about additional costs, such as packaging tape fees, so there were no surprises at the end. Felt price was fair for about 4.5 hours worth of service.
