It was a very stress free move. The movers arrived on time and finished the move on time as well. They got their own moving and packing stuff with them and carefully packed all the stuff which requires more care and fragile items. We are very pleased with their service and would recommend them strongly.

Nik and Arthur were awesome! They provided moving services that went above and beyond my expectations. I was so concerned about the moving of the executive desk. It is my dad's priced possession. The previous movers had such a difficult time moving it into the old place, so I had a lot of concerns and feared the worst. However, they moved the desk, along with all the other heavy/bulky pieces with such ease. I was impressed with how they worked so fluidly, efficiently and effectively. They tirelessly moved everything without a scratch. They took their time to strategically pad all the furniture pieces in the truck so that nothing was broken in transit. They are true professionals. Their work clearly displayed the difference between people with moving experience and just a bunch of novice guys. It definitely doesn't take just muscle to maneuver furniture out of tight spaces, into the elevator and down a hill without any mishaps. They handled themselves very professionally. The ARKO team arrived within their given time frame and began working immediately. One team member went through all of the paperwork with me, explained their services and pricing. We then toured the townhome and they began the loading process. The ARKO team took only 1 "time-out" for water and worked consistently and efficiently through the move-out process. Furniture was wrapped and protected accordingly. They stopped to ask questions when/where necessary and displayed creativity in loading their truck. We managed to get it all in one trip! On the other end, the ARKO team off-loaded their truck into a 10x30 storage unit in a timely and efficient manner. The team, again, demonstrated care and creativity when loading the storage room.

They were on time and they explained everything in advance. They displayed a "can do" attitude, they were on time and worked without taking more than two five-minute breaks. The were well equipped with packing supplies and they covered every single item with blankets, secured with tape. On their own initiative and with my approval, they re-enforced previously packed boxes with additional tape. Finally, the bill was not a surprise. There were no hidden charges. David Herbert

We grossly underestimated the requirement which grew to two full truck loads and 12 hours of moving, but they never skipped a beat. They were as energetic in lifting and moving and careful in navigating the house, loading the truck and placing the goods in our new house at midnight as they were at 10AM when they arrived. They were exceptionally courteous and thoughtful throughout the move. We used a offer by Angie's for the initial service and then paid by the hour after the initial period. Having moved many times during my military career and always moved with first-rate moving companies I was deeply impressed by this 3-man crew. They were obviously well experienced and had exceptional customer relations skills. They were experienced to know what went where and how to prepare all items for transport. I will definitely use them again.

They wrapped my piano, beds, dressers, and valuable furniture very carefully. I am very impressed on their protection of our furniture.

It really went smoothly. I had Niko and 2 of his crew show up 15 mins ahead of time. They picked up every single item and proactively asked about what goes where. The packing into the truck was perfectly done to match my requirement to put stuff first in the storage and then to the apartment. I highly recommend ARKO to anyone looking to move. I got the $299 package and ran over by 2 hours as I had underestimated the stuff I had. Total came to $500 and for the quality it is a steal!!

I recently bought a new house in Virginia. I contracted with a moving company called Knoble Moving out of Washington, DC to move my household furniture off Capitol Hill, Washington, DC to Alexandria, Virginia; this was a two-day move. The company moved half of my furniture from DC to Virginia, and then backed out of the move the next day. This left me stranded. I contacted ARKO Moving and they were great. They worked with me with little noticed and had the rest of my furniture moved. They were very courteous, and professional. I will use them again for my next move.

Awesome movers. Showed up on time and had has us completely moved (out of 1,220 SF house and backyard) in approx. 3.5 hours. Took care of all our stuff, nothing broken or damaged. Very polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

These guys were great. It was very hot out and they actually asked for a 3 minute break! They worked for 6 hours straight, explained all of the charges and delivered everything in excellent condition. Plus they were a third of the cost of other movers that I got quotes from! I highly recommend them.

Arthur contacted me promptly through Angie's List. He asked for several dates and for a description of the job. After some negotiation, we settled on a day and time. He sent a reminder email, and then called me on the day of the move to tell me he and his partner, Nikolai, were on the way. When they arrived, the two young men were very professional and courteous, explaining what they were going to do and answering any questions thoroughly. I was impressed with their attention to detail and their careful and efficient handling of my things. I have several antiques, so was concerned at first, but Arthur and Nikolai handled everything respectfully and well. There was a slight glitch at the beginning of the move when one of my cats decided to defend the house and backed Arthur towards the door, however Arthur handled the cat as respectfully as the furniture. Once the cats were secured in the bathroom, things proceeded smoothly. The move went very quickly, and I was asked several times to check the rooms for all items. We proceeded to our storage locker and the young men set to work quickly, despite the heat. My son and I were very impressed with Nikolai's amazing packing skills. He fit everything together like a Tetris puzzle. It was a thing of beauty. Once we got to the house, the young men worked quickly and carefully to move everything into place. They remained professional at all times, even when we realized that a heavy wooden chest was moved upstairs when it really needed to be downstairs. Once everything was moved into the house, they made sure that each item was where we wanted it and cheerfully moved one or two things for us. My son and I were very impressed and happy with ARKO Moving and highly recommend their services to anyone.

ARKO is by far the best moving service I have ever used. I have moved numerous times from the US to overseas and back while with the US Foreign Service, and have never had anyone more accommodating and thorough as ARKO. I moved out of a large residence in Warrenton, VA and had them pack everything into "Pack-Rat" pods for temporary storage. They arrived on time, did an outstanding job of packing everything into the pods, took great care with all of our household effects, and the costs were exactly as they estimated before beginning. Charges, including estimated materials, were explained in detail before the process started - there were no surprises. On the other end at the new residence 3 weeks later, after the Pods had been delivered, ARKO showed up at the residence as promised and worked tirelessly to unload the Pods and move into the new residence. Again, extremely accommodating, ARKO unpacked and reassembled everything we wanted done in the new house. They went out of their way to help with one of the Pods that could not be delivered to the residence. They took their truck to Pack-Rat's storage facility, unpacked the Pod, loaded everything in their truck, and returned to our new residence with the goods. We would have had to reschedule the delivery to a week later had ARKO not gone out of their way to unload this Pod at Pack-Rat's facility and deliver everything. I can't say enough about ARKO's outstanding service. Considering some of the larger moving companies we have used in the past, there is no comparison. If you want a company who truly cares about your personal effects and doesn't just throw everything in a box, ARKO is the team you need. Their customer service is such a refreshing change from the mediocre service other companies offer today.

They had excellent communication, and were punctual and professional. They worked extremely hard to get the job done efficiently. They were respectful, went out of their way to be helpful, and were very responsible with all of my items. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for a stress free move!

Arthur and Nick were a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time, wrapped all my furniture in blankets, and moved the boxes (self packed) and furniture to the new place. They were very careful and I did not see them ding a wall or bang any furniture. I was impressed by these two very hard working men. Once in the new place, they arranged and reassembled the furniture as requested and ensured all my requirements were met. Overall it was a very smooth move and I would be happy to work with Arko again in the future.

They arrived on time and were extremely professional. The move took longer than thought, but they stayed with it and worked very quickly. There were no broken items...a first for me. Both men were very pleasant and I could not have hoped for better work all the way around.

These guys were amazing. They managed to move our whole 2-bedroom apartment into our new home in Alexandria in less than 4 hours, including traffic! They arrived promptly and were very friendly! They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture in blankets and tape so nothing was damaged. They were able to get heavy akward furniture up narrow stairs in our new home. They worked very hard and quickly in the heat. I highly recommend them.

The two-man team was extremely proficient, communicative and straight-foward. They took great care to package our furniture to avoid wear and tear. And when one piece of furniture showed signs of accidental damage, they were very responsive in the aftermath and helped us reach a mutually-agreeable solution. I believe this company to be serious about doing a good job and doing right by their growing clientele. I highly recommend them, and feel they are more competent that your average mover. Plus, they have a nice disposition and listen with an active ear!

I called them to ask a few questions about the deal and they were very courteous and helpful on the phone -- I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop because everything was going so well. They were very nice and straight forward about everything -- no hidden fees, they did exactly what they said they would do and for the price they said they would do it at. I used the $299 deal for 2 guys, a 22' truck and 4 hours of labor. I've heard all kinds of horror stories about movers that start the clock when they start heading to you (from who knows where). But these guys confirmed the night before, called when they were on their way in the morning, and didn't start the clock until we went over the contract in my house. They took great care with all my stuff, protected the walls and moved everything quickly and efficiently. I was stunned at how fast they were. They arrived around 9:30 and I still had unsealed boxes that they taped up for me (for like $9). By 12:30, they had sealed my boxes, gotten everything into the truck, and unloaded it at the new place -- and that's after they waited 30+ minutes for me to review/sign my lease. I would definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone -- I can't imagine it having gone any better.

First scheduled for them to come out between 8-9, then they requested change to 7-8 so I agreed. Got up early and drove to house that I was moving from. They didnt show up until 8:30. After they apologized, they went very fast to get everything done very efficiently. They wrapped all the furniture with blankets and taped. The guys did a great job and I would hire them again. What you may want to think about, some extra costs though. Each roll of tape cost about $3 and if they put your TV in a wooden crate that cost more (I did not since I moved in my neighborhood). So there are some extra costs that you may not know about unless you ask in advance. All in all they did a great job.-i]]kmm

The move went very smoothly and quickly. The price included a 22' truck, 2 movers, some packing material (furniture pads, mattress wraps, and packing tape), and a custom-made protective box for a 46" TV. They came by the apartment a week prior to the move date to provide an estimate of the moving time. Despite charging by the hour, Nick and Arthur hustled every second during the move, getting the first set of boxes out the door within 2 minutes of arriving. They protected all the furniture with padding, which was applied extremely quickly and efficiently - it was very clear that they knew the best way to cover and wrap odd items. The truck was also packed very securely and efficiently. The entire job took approximately 4.5 hours - 2 hours to get everything wrapped, out of the apartment, and down the elevator, 30 minutes to complete loading of the truck, 30 minutes to transit, and 90 minutes to unload into the new home (which is a split level and involved many stairs). I was very impressed with Nick's and Arthur's professionalism, politeness, and commitment to getting the job done quickly with absolutely no damage to any of our property. I am highly recommending them for their services.

Arko scheduled my appointment on the day I wanted without any hassle, and professionally and cheerfully moved my one-bedroom apartment's belongings from a more difficult location in the middle of the apartment complex. This required taking a path into the middle of the complex and going up a flight of stairs to retrieve/ move my things. They were careful with all of my fragile items and ensured they communicated with me about everything they were moving. They ensured that they put things where I wanted them to go and did everything fast and efficiently. The price was very reasonable, and I would definitely use them again!
