ARKO Moving

I found ARKO on Angie's List and I contact Arthur by phone requesting information on the price of a move from Alexandria to Fairfax. He requested I sent him a list of items that needed to be moved so he could provide an accurate estimate. I had seen a special on Angies List for $299 for 4 hours and inquired about that. When he called me back he said he thought he could do it for less!! When does THAT ever happen?? He sent me an email confirmation with ALL the details and I confirmed with him to book the move. Arthur and Nick arrived right on time and went right to work. The apartment was quite a long way from the elevator and then a long ramp to the truck so Arthur told me right away it would be longer than he anticipated but would only charge me the $299 special for 4 hours. Both of them worked efficiently with no lag time. All furniture was wrapped in blankets and everything was handled very carefully. They requested I point out any boxes that may have fragile items so they could put them on top to prevent any damage. The unload on the other end was equally as efficient making great use of their time. it ended up being just over the 4 hours but Arthur said he wasn't going to charge me any extra. I went into the transaction with anxiety having worked with hourly companies in the past with very bad results but ARKO is most definitely the exception to that. What an amazing and pleasant experience from start to finish! If you need moving assistance I can't say enough good things about this company. Worth every penny!!!

Arthur answered my inquiry with promptness and provided me with full pricing with no hidden costs. He and his team arrived at the time they promised and went over all details with me prior to starting the move. They worked with me on my budget to get the best value for my money and get the job done with unnecessary added expenses. He and his team were very efficient and careful with the packing process. I was very impressed by their skill and professionalism. They moved large items which I was afraid would have to be disassembled. Items which were disassembled were put back together well and quickly too. The entire experience was great and exceeded expectations! I would definitely recommend them and would use them again I the future for all my moving needs!

This entire experience was great. They showed up about 15 minutes early, ready to work. They moved through my home efficiently and all of my belongings, both boxes and furniture were delivered without issue or damage. Everything was as expected and explained, with no hidden costs or fees and no attempts to work slowly or try and charge another hour like other movers have been known to do. I have had some mixed experiences with movers in the past, but would recommend ARKO moving in a heartbeat. The owner Arthur was part of the crew that did the work, always nice to see a boss ready and willing to get his hands dirty and pitch in. I will definitely use ARKO in the future when it is time to move.

We've moved several times around the Washington DC area, and Arthur and his crew were easily the best experience and the best value of them all. They even came back the next day and assembled some furniture I'd ordered in just a couple of hours. (It would have taken me a couple of days.) Moving is never fun, but if you have to do it, hire these guys.

They did a very good job, our daughter was very happy. The move was only about 5 miles. The movers were very friendly and professional. They were a little bit late.

I have had to pay for several moves in the past 7+ years because of frequent relocations. These guys were the absolute BEST in every aspect and if I could use them again I would jump at the chance. They were on time, very professional, very upfront with costs and provided everything that they said they would. I had no concerns that entire day - everything went as planned and as discussed in our arrangements. I had to make a long distance move since this move. Unfortunately it was short notice and they could not fit us in their already booked-up schedule. I sincerely wish we could have used them again because I went from this fabulous treatment to the other end of the spectrum. So - yes - use ARKO - they are wonderful.

These gentlemen and the company as a whole were exceptional. They arrived at their desiginated time. They were very professional and thorough, always ensuring our furniture was wrapped in blankets and protected. Some of the items were quite fragile, but nothing was at all dinged, scratched or otherwise compromised. The apartment was a walk-up, but they never complained and worked very efficiently. I would highly recommend them for your moving needs and would not hesitate to used them again. A+++

I had purchased the big deal for $299, and there were additional charges for wrapping the custom padding, and the TV sets. They were very good, and I would recommend them. I chose to use them because I found them on Angie's List. They provided everything, the mover, the truck, the time period and time slot that I needed. It took them 3 hours to complete the job. They were very good. Two people came out to do it.

ARKO movers were extremely responsive and kept in communication with us through e-mail and phone calls. While they were moving the furniture, they were polite and courteous. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Truck was late showing up but an extra person was provided to compensate. Had some trouble getting through to the company at times, and generally had enough flags raised that I used someone else to finish the move. The day I moved I actually got a message saying that ARCO could not honor some move deals vis Angie's List but mine did happen.

The move went great. Arthur explained all costs up front. The crew was on time (actually they were early) and professional. I asked them to stop on the way to the new place to dispose of a few pieces of furniture and they did so happily. They also wrapped my flat screen TV in a blanket so I could transport it in my car and didn't charge me anything for that. I would definitely use these guys again.

It was a Big Deal purchase. It turned out fine. They did everything they were supposed to do. They were very friendly, quick, prompt and did everything that we wanted them to do. They came in and really worked hard to get under the time limit so we were pleased with that. The coupon sale didn't go through online and they were already scheduled to come on the 9th but when they got there, we found out the problem about the coupon and I was able to finish the sale. We ended up having to pay more because it did take longer but not longer than what they promised; it's just that we did have a lot to move. Their deal was for two hours or three hours and it actually took an hour more. We spent $100 more. They were friendly and professional.

We chose to use this company through an Angie's List Big Deal. The company contacted us right away and requested all the details related to the move (e.g. locations, quantity of material, etc.). We scheduled the move and the movers arrived promptly on time. The original move was planned for three hours but we anticipated that we may need some extra time, which we did. The gave us the prices up-front for any extra time and supplies. The 3 movers were courteous, careful, and worked diligently. As expected, we needed two extra hours. They made the move very easy and painless--much better than other companies we have used. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a local move.

These guys did a great job. They wrapped our furniture, took care not to damage the furniture or our house, and placed it in our other house. The furniture was large (including an armoire and canopy bed). We were happy with the service and would definitely use Them again.

Arthur and Nick showed up at our storage facility at the agreed-upon time along with their 22 foot truck and moving and packing materials. They quickly loaded the truck, followed us to our home, picked up more boxes, and moved our daughter into her new apartment - all in about three hours. We'd paid for four hours, but were pleased they were able to finish earlier. The service also offered packing, but we were already packed. We really liked these guys, and plan to use ARKO Moving for future moves. They were great!S

This is my first time using this kind of service. I really appreciated Arthur to reschedule twice. He and his crew showed up as notified via email that they are running late. They are very nice and professional. Arthur explained everything. They moved boxes from my home to storage and took care of things. I am very satisfied for the service and will use his service again in the near future. I would recommend this service to my friends. Thank you Arthur and his team (I am sorry that I did not ask for the name).

Everything went well. The team was punctual, courteous, and professional. They took great care with our furniture and used furniture pads to ensure that everything arrived in good condition. We would definitely use ARKO Moving again.

The moving crew showed up during the time that I was told. It was nice to get a phone call saying they would be at my house in 20 minutes instead of that they were running late (as happens a lot with service providers). Nick greeted me very professionally and explained everything to me. He asked for a tour of the house and items to be moved. Nick introduced me to Bruno who was the other mover. Both men were very pleasant and professional. They began wrapping the furniture with blankets and packing the truck. I was surprised at how quickly and CAREFULLY they worked. Overall, I was very satisfied and would recommend this crew to anyone who is moving. The only negative that I would mention is that the company, ARKO, should list the "fine print" more clearly in the Angie's list offer. Furniture weighing more than 200 lbs. is an additional $100 per item and it was not mentioned until I got an email confirming my move. I had a treadmill that was determined to weigh more than 200 lbs. so I had to pay an additional $100. I budgetted a set amount to tip the crew so unfortunately they did not receive as much as I would have liked them to get for their hard work. I think there should be a rating for accuracy/detail of deal offered on Angie's List to avoid this type of situation.

My husband (who worked alongside the 2 guys who came) was amazed with their speed! They showed up on time, even calling beforehand to let us know they were on their way. Very responsive via email as well. We will absolutely use them again. Fast, professional, and friendly!
