They were very quick to make sure we got the right services for the right price. They completed the entire job in 1.5 hours and we had 0 problems.

We purchased the $250 for $350 of moving services deal (2 man crew for 3 hours). Arthur and Nick came 5 minutes later at the appointment time in the morning (which should be between 9-10am). But both of them were very fast, professional. The price is clear, no hidden charge as some other moving companies do. We got it all done within 2 hours. I would definitely recommend using this company and will certainly use them for my next move.

ARKO was fantastic! From the initial estimate with Arthur to the final box with Nick and his crew it was excellent. They were very courteous, professional and EXTREMELY hard working. I have already referred them to others and I will continue to do so. Very satisfied customer.

Overall, I was very pleased. When I first spoke with Arthur, I was considering getting a coupon with their shop (through Angie's list) for $350 for 4 hours of moving. Arthur reviewed the items I needed moved (the equivalent of a one bedroom apartment) and suggested I go with a $250 for $350 value instead. This got me two movers and a truck for 3 hours. The movers came early in their window (between 2-4 pm) and did a quick walk-through to identify which items would need to be moved. They were fast, professional, and careful. I also appreciated that they did not charge me until they arrived at my house, which not all moving companies do. At one point I was a bit concerned that we were going to go over the three hour mark (it took us 90 minutes to get the truck loaded), and they were very responsive to my concern. Bottom line, we got it all done with 30 minutes to spare. They took great care with my items and were fast and professional. I would highly recommend them to others with similar moving requests.

Provider arrived on time. Loading went well. When we arrived at my new apt., ARKO owner complained bitterly about the design of the apt stairwell saying "This is not built for moving," and also complained about my apt. being on the fourth floor--a fact I had repeatedly stressed when making arrangements with the mover. As items were being moved into the apt. I noticed that a stool I use for playing guitar was damaged, the corner where the wood had been scraped leaving the wood bare and fresh. When I pointed this out to the owner he vehemently denied that ARKO could have done it, saying that in the entire history of the company there had never been one piece of furniture damaged. As I was questioning how that could be possible, one of his workers who was now carrying one of my oldest, most valuable pieces of furniture, an heirloom cherry standing desk, arrived outside the apt. door and (way too casually) swung the piece around over his head--causing the bottom drawer of the antique to fall on the desk and to be damaged!!! At this point the owner, who along with me saw this happen, began to say the desk that had just been damaged in front of us was old and that the damage we had just seen happen was old, also! He didn't want to take responsibility for anything, but finally offered me a cash discount of $75 for both. I accepted due to his hostile manner, but the money does not compensate for my time to get the items repaired, and no repair can restore either piece to what it was before ARKO damaged it. Because of the owner's hostile and completely unprofessional attitude when my furniture was damaged I could NEVER recommend them to anyone. I know I write this belatedly, but when I saw their most recent rating with Angie's List I almost threw up. The truth, however belatedly, needs to be told.

We had Nick and Grant as our movers and they were both excellent...professional, hardworking, and diligent. They were able to finish the entire move in just under three hours which meant no additional cost above the Angie's list deal we purchased! I would definitely recommend using this company and will certainly use them for my next move.

Unfortunately he was not able move me on May 27th. He asked if I was flexible in June, unfortunately I have to move on May 27th.

The move out took a little longer due to the one elevator bottleneck in my old building. To compensate for that they had extra guys at the new address to speed up the unload so I only had to pay for one additional hour and gave them a generous tip. These guys are very organized. Nothing was broken or scratched. No one was lounging around milking the clock on this job!

I can't express how grateful I am to these guys. They were beyond great! I purchased a deal on here, but had a feeling it wouldn't cover everything. The guys came by to look at what needed to be moved a week before the move. They agreed that 2 guys and a 2nd truck was needed. They agreed to come the morning that worked best for us and informed us of a reasonable fee ($100 maybe) to travel the hour plus to Culpeper. Not only did they show up when they said they would, these guys got right to work and barely stopped moving for the next 5 hours loading the trucks. They drove both trucks out to Culpeper, only stopping for lunch. They got to work right when they got there and didn't stop until everything was done. They even moved my mom's piano for her twice until she found the right spot for it. My in-laws are talking about moving and I have already my first task will be to book these guys ASAP!

Arthur and Nick from ARKO Moving did an excellent job with our move. They got everything out and into the new place in 2 hours. These guys went beyond my expectations. They were on time and even gave advice on getting the move done quickly. Moving is such a stressful time and these guys made it easy. If I should move again, I will be calling these guys again.

Arthur and another mover arrived promptly and got right to work. They moved all the furniture without disassembling anything. Crew was professional and handled the furniture with care. Would definitely use them in the future.

We are preparing to sell our house and had them move a bunch of our belongings and furniture into storage. Everything worked out well and it was a great move. We had no issues and they took great care to not damage anything. We were very happy with their service and we would use them again.

I've used 3 other moving companies in DC across the last 6 years of being here and, by far, ARKO was the best experience I've had. Not only were Arthur and Nick really nice people that I didn't mind hanging around with for 4 hours, but they moved my stuff efficiently and carefully. My furniture was all wrapped well with blankets, boxes were stacked with heaviest on bottom ... all things you'd hope your movers would do but usually don't.

Our experience with ARKO was great! After purchasing the Angie's List deal, we worked with Arthur from ARKO to set up the move date and time. He was very open about any possible charges above and beyond the work specified in the deal. On the day of the move, ARKO's movers worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully, and they asked clarification questions and gave suggestions where needed. When we arrived at the storage unit, they didn't just throw all the items in the unit-- they methodically organized all our items as they unloaded them into the storage unit. We were way beyond satisfied-- they saved us so much backbreaking work, and we'd recommend ARKO to anyone!

Arko team was professional in their service. Eventhough they showed 30 minutes late than the scheduled time, they handled the move perfectly. Explained the move plan over the phone and helped me to pick up apt moving package from Angie's list (2 movers for 3 hrs for 249$). He was spot on the time estimate based on my move description and helped to save some money as I was going for higher package. They didn't waste any time and placed boxes and furniture at appropriate rooms at the destination. With their help our move went without any hassles. Thank you Arko

I cannot speak highly enough of Arthur and his team. I am a complete perfectionist and am still taken aback by their services. Leading up to the move, Arthur was very responsive to any emails. I was coordinating this move from overseas, which he was quite sensitive to. The actual move went even better than anticipated. The crew was timely, friendly and took UTMOST care of my belongings. They were honest and caring. I will be using Arko again in a few months to move my items out of storage and into my new residence when I return from Europe. Again, THANK YOU to you and your team. You have exceeded my expectations and that's saying a lot!

Arrived 45 minutes later than the 1 hour arrival window. But they worked hard and barely took any breaks for 8 hours. Took 2 full truck loads from old house to new house and they even helped us move some boxes that we had previously moved ourselves. The weather was very cold (below freezing) making the job even more difficult than normal but they had a great attitude and were professional the entire time. The owner of the company was part of the 3-man crew and he always asked for permission before taking a smoke or bathroom break. There was only one tiny mishap that was so small as to be almost inconsequential but they handled it professionally. While moving an awkward item from the garage into the moving truck one fellow slipped and did a very small amount of damage to the trim around the garage door. I was more concerned about the mover's well being but no one was hurt and the owner immediately confessed and told me to send him the bill for any repairs. It really was just a minor gouge that can be fixed with some simple touch up paint. No worries. Would definitely recommend them and do business with them again in the future.

I was very happy with ARKO moving from start to finish! I called a few different movers for quotes on what it would cost to move items from our basement to a storage unit. ARKO was far and away the best. I got a positive impression of Arthur, the manager of ARKO, beginning with the quote process. For example, another A-rated Angie's List company, G&J Storage, had said that I would need a 3-person team for 4-6 hours, and he suspected that I would need a larger storage unit (10x15 rather than the 10x10 I had reserved). Arthur, at ARKO, after looking at the same list of items that needed to be moved, said that I should use the $250 for $350 worth of services coupon, which provided 2 men for 3 hours, and actually suggested that a 10x10 storage unit may be BIGGER than I needed. Turns out that he was right! G&J's estimate was way too high in terms of hours and manpower needed, so even though their hourly rates are the same as ARKO's, I would have been charged MUCH more! But I'm getting ahead of myself. Arthur was very prompt in getting back to me with a quote, and fit me into the schedule on short notice (I called Fri, and he moved me on Sun). He and one other mover showed up within the quoted 1-hour window. It had snowed heavily the day before, so they were dealing with slushy walkways and slick roads. When they arrived, Arthur explained the contract to me in detail, and did not hide the ball at all in terms of extra fees, etc. He did not charge extra for the 1-flight of stairs at my house or the elevator at the storage unit. I showed him the stuff I wanted him to move, asked him again if a 10x10 unit would work, and again he said that the items would definitely fit and I could probably do with a smaller unit. Instead of downsizing the unit, I had him move more stuff than originally planned. There's always more stuff. He had no problem adding items beyond what we had already discussed. The movers were both fast, efficient, respectful of my house (laying down blankets so they would not track water and mud in), and friendly. When we arrived at the storage unit, they braved falling chunks of ice from the roof and more icy conditions on the ground. They packed my storage unit like it was a game of Tetris, and in the end (exactly 3 hours after they started!), everything looked nice and neat. I even have some extra space left over in the storage unit, so his estimate was right on. Having used inferior movers many times in the past, I really appreciate the honesty and respect I received from this company. Highly recommended!

Arthur and his team are awesome! Incredibly responsive, very helpful, experienced and knowledgeable and willing to go extra for you. We scheduled our move on the date of our closing (I know, stupid, but first time home buyers! ha), which was delayed so Arthur was very understanding and changed around his schedule. The whole time I never felt like he was annoyed by the continued schedule conflicts and changes. He was helpful in taking apart our king size bed (this was a big one for me as I HATE dealing with IKEA furniture dis-assembly) and reassembling it. These are the guys you want moving your home. It took only 6 hours (trust me, we have a ton of stuff) and with no damage to funiture, just a few scuffs on the wall that they were very truthful about. The scuff came right out. Thanks Arthur, you guys are the best!

Two movers did a fantastic job moving furniture I purchased from the original owner's house to mine, and we live 45 minutes apart. They were fast and efficient and moved all the pieces without doing any damage to the furniture or my walls, and it was heavy, solid-wood furniture. The movers knew what they were doing and were extremely professional and efficient. I also appreciated the fact that they called to let me know when they were on their way and when to expect them. I would definitely use them again. It was far easier, and not much more expensive, than renting a truck and arranging for friends to help me out.

I've used them twice already. My experience with them has been excellent. The workers are very efficient. They came here on time. They were punctual. They took care of all my stuff very carefully. They were very good. They were very quick in getting the schedule. They were very fast.
