J&J staff did an excellent job.

J & J Landscape Management has been very good. They`re very dependable.

Four men worked very hard and did a beautiful job of planting and general clean up of the yard. I used a coupon and their price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

Outstanding customer service and work. I received several estimates from Mr. Donnell Jones for the installation of pavers and landscaping work; all of the estimates were reasonable and provided in a very prompt and timely manner. Questions were answered very promptly. I choose to have my backyard cleaned of leaves, branches and debris and the difference was astounding. I will consider them for other projects later, funds permitting. They did an excellent job, and I recommend you consider them.

All of the sod replacement was done by hand and looked great. One of the trees planted was not the one I had asked for - the project manager immediately removed the wrong tree and had the correct tree delivered and planted. Some of the sod did not survive the very hot summer and, in March 2013, the company agreed to seed the areas that died at no additional cost. Also, one of the trees died 2 weeks after planted and the company has agreed to replace it at no charge because it is under warranty. I would contract again with this company for other work if their proposal is reasonable.

It went great. I received a call from J&J Landscaping right after buying the service on Angie's List. Someone came to my house the next day to see what I wanted done, and the work was done a couple of days later. They did much more than $199 worth of work and did a great job of it.

Wow! Professionals showed up on time with the appropriate tools and performed excellent work. These are the rock stars of the landscape world. I got excellent value for the Angie deal. I will call them first for all future yard work.

We called to set up a cleanup appointment on Monday and the team arrived on Tuesday knowing we had a deadline. The team was thorough, efficient and professional. Our lot is 1/2 acre with many flower beds and shrubs. All the shrubs, beds, grass, walkways, garden, deck and driveway were thoroughly cleared of leaves and limbs. I loved that the team didn't just blow the leaves to the curb to blow back in the yard while waiting for the city to pick them up. Rather they vacuumed the leaves into a truck and took them away. No piles of leaves left curbside to obstruct driving or parking. I really appreciate that the team is very aware of our dog and always closes the gates to the backyard. We have used J&J for mowing, lawn maintenance, landscaping projects, spring clean up, mulching and fall clean up. We have always been pleased. The team is courteous, professional and thorough. I highly recommend this landscaping company.

They were fantastic. The estimate was timely and professional. They did the work quickly but thoroughly. Their front office is also extremely courteous and organized. Their estimate was far cheaper than another that we received. I highly recommend this company.

They started out being reasonably priced and efficient, but over time, the staff would knock over and damage flower pots, puncture hoses, knock over outdoor lighting. The office staff was always very polite and kind, though.

J and J Landscaping turned our post-construction moonscape into a yard! Donnell walked our property with us, discussed options, offered ideas, and worked up a very reasonable quote within a couple of days. Their crew showed up promptly at 7:30 on the day they were scheduled to start work, and put in a full day's work with a great attitude every day. Donnell stopped by the job site every day to see how things were going, answer questions, and discuss new ideas we had as the job went along. Our project was interrupted by Superstorm Sandy, but they contacted us promptly after the storm to reschedule the rest of the work, and even undertook (for free) some repairs where the storm had undone some of their initial efforts. They accommodated several design and scope changes, yet somehow kept the whole project on track. We were especially impressed with the terrace and patio they constructed using slates we'd saved from before-the-renovation, and love the quaint little patio they build in front of the garden shed. We were also impressed with the topsoil delivery, grading, and drainage; previously, our yard was notoriously swampy, and every rainfall left a small pond in the driveway, but we had no pooling after Superstorm Sandy, despite the heavy rainfall. The raised beds are also very nice; I look forward to putting in an herb garden come spring! Meaghan and Donnell's responsiveness to both phone and email queries was very impressive, as was their honesty and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver great customer service! We plan to have them back in the spring to undertake some additional work.

Was an absolutely superb experience! Jimmy came out initially to look over the needed work and was very easy to work with. He then developed a proposal and we negotiated the extent of the work and the cost, which I have declined to provide (but we felt it was a good value!). Jamie called us in advance to notify us when the workers would begin and that the work would take about 3 days. They were there on time and did a fantastic job, finishing in the expected three days). Having had bad experiences with landscapers in the past, we are very pleased with this experience and will hopefully establish a long term relationship with them. We VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND J&J Landscaping Management!!!

The new plantings are healthy, well-spaced, well-selected and professionally installed. We used their services in the spring & fall of 2011, and the approximate cost is for each season.

His service was good, we enjoyed his work. He was very reliable. We stopped using him because he was doing more commercial work for the city of Alexandria.

They were very easy to deal with, did what they were supposed to do, and everything went well overall. They were able to take care of the problems with the lawn. I didn’t have any complaints at all, and I’d recommend them to others!

We’ve had them out two or three times. They've always gotten back to me quickly when I've called, and quickly provid estimates. Within a few days, they get the work done. They were a very good company to work with! I think their prices are comparable to others. We’ve been pleased overall!

They did a pretty good job overall.

They responded very promptly, made good suggestions, and provided a proposal in a timely manner. We just decided to go with another company that fit better into our budget.

After interviewing 5 different companies, we settled on J&J, who is providing their lawn care services for $150/month during the 8 month growing season. We have been very pleased with their service, responsiveness, and the ability to communicate by email with the company. Their front-office service is professional and courteous, and we will continue to use them in 2012. In the fall of this year, we paid $1,475 to have our front lawn re-sodded. The estimate was a little pricey in comparison to two other companies we contacted, but their assurances about their quality and procedures made me feel more comfortable with them and so we decided it would be worth the extra cost. They killed the existing grass and then removed the dead stuff before laying the new sod. It took about a week to kill the old grass but the installation was completed in one quick day. The sod is a little patchy (which is why I gave a "B" for quality), but overall looks quite nice. We feel confident at this point that the small bare patches will grow in once spring comes and their lawn treatments continue.

We called them because we are selling our house and we were coming down to the deadline. My husband threw his back out and I needed to hire someone quickly. I called J&J and liked them right away because they answered the phone - so many companies now just let you go to voice mail. Jamie came out to meet me and by the time I got there he had already walked the property to check out the landscaping needs. He emailed the estimate to me when he said he would and we were in business. It took two days but the property looks way better than anything we could have done. I can't believe the difference! I was impressed from beginning to end and very happy with their work. You won't regret hiring them one bit.

The service is thorough, fast and responsive to our needs. I will always use J & J for all our landscape and yard maintenance needs. They do a fabulous job each Spring mulching, cleaning up the yard and fine tuning it for the outdoor season. A supervisor was on sight daily for our big landscape project and even for routine yard work a supervisor often checks on the quality of the work. I love that.

J&J mows and edges my lawn on a weekly basis. On the days they visit my property, I come home from work to a beautiful lawn! It's always a nice welcome!! I referred them to my parents who now get the weekly service as well. My parents had a large spot on their lawn where a tree was removed last year. After a few failed attempts to take care of it myself, J&J has come to our rescue with seed, and topsoil, and a special touch. They also weeded and mulched their front flower beds, which is another great relief for me! My mom is thrilled and said that the yard hasn't looked this good in years. Everyone we've ever met from the company, including the guys who regularly maintain our yards, have always been very friendly and professional. Four thumbs up for J&J, two from me and two from my mom.

The experience has been great. I was on leave and they came out every week and took care of it. I came back and my yard looks like a park. Their pricing is fair also.

I HAVE A GREAT LONG TERM EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE A SATISFACTORY JOB WITH MY YARD. THEY ARE ALWAYS CONTINUING TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
