Their quote was more than the company I finally chose. I liked the other company better. They were not as professional as the other company. They came out on time, though. I will not use them again in the future.

Costello Painting; Matt and Luke did a fantastic job. The bathroom surfaces were a mess and a lot of work went into getting things fixed and ready for painting. The prep work was great, the painting was completed and looks great. This is the second time we have used Costello Painting, the previous job was exterior painting of our house. They did a great job that time and a great job this time. They work very hard to ensure that the surfaces are prepared correctly and pay attention to all the details that need to be covered. The bathroom was a real mess, it looks great now, a lot of hard work and effort went into this job, just like the previous one and both look great. The exterior job was done several years ago and still looks fantastic. If you want a painting job done right, Matt and Luke will get it done for you.

The job went very well. Matt's bid was considerably lower than the other competitive bid I obtained. Since both bidders seemed to be very competent and were well-reviewed on Angie's list, we chose Matt. He did an excellent job. We have lived in this house for decades, and Matt and his brother, Luke, did the best job on the wood siding that has been done. In addition to the quality of workmanship, they leave the site extremely clean and are also really good guys. I would have no hesitation employing them again.

Matt was very easy to work with and always responsive to my concerns (which were always very minor). He was helpful with color suggestions. He was extremely thorough with the prep on my historic house--this included extensive window caulking and some trim repair. I have had multiple compliments on the appearance and quality of work. Would recommend without reservation.

Matt came out and gave us an estimate the week before they started with a measuring tool for accuracy (no eyeball guessing of room dimensions). I went to his paint store and picked an off white color. And when they came they started the day they planned to come. After first day I didn't like the color of the first coat and we changed the color and they went over with the second coat in new color that looked great. They were patient with the changes and when they came back to do the outdoor work on the third day, we paid them to do the first ceiling over in the new color since it had been finished the first day before the color change. They worked quickly and finished in the time they said it would take. They charged an amount for additional color on first ceiling and 3rd day redo of first ceiling plus extra paint needed. The two workers Matt and his brother did the whole job themselves and communicated with me each day and night before, the plan and what they would get done. Everything went smoothly and they cleaned up and left the place picked up. I moved most of the furniture and they covered two pieces I had no where to move them out of the room. They offered to put everything back in place but I wanted to vacuum and clean the rugs first.

Their bid wasn't the lowest, but I chose to go with this company because they don't subcontract the work. Matt Costello and an assistant did all the work and I felt like he was extremely conscientious and genuinely concerned that I was happy with the final result. It was a little difficult to tie down a firm start date and they ended up starting a couple of weeks later than originally estimated, but that wasn't a big problem. Once they gave me a start date, they were on time and worked fast. They also were very thorough in their prep work and worked clean, which was extremely important to me. I didn't have to clean up after them, they took care of everything. The final result looks great and I would definitely hire them again or refer them to a friend.

I have needed to paint for past 8 years. Costello had good ref from Angies list. When weather warmed up they started work, took them three weeks rather than 1 week. Honored their original proposal to a "T". Had to cut in all the trim on the tudor style home. Also had to clear off ivy as they worked along. Required major prep. Very high, up to 35'. Cleaned up daily. Great product.

It went very well. Matt spent about an hour with us when he came to give the estimate, discussing our issues and concerns and answering our questions. I was somewhat surprised when he later contacted me saying they could start the next day - I had expected a few more days of lead time. When Matt and Luke arrived, we went over the house again, discussing what needed to be done for prep work. We also negotiated a written contract that I had drafted based on ones I found on the Internet. They updated us during the process, including discussing unanticipated problems that were uncovered. I provided them with drawings of the house showing where each paint color was to go since we weren't home during the painting. We were traveling a lot during the five weeks or so that they worked on the house (this time included a 4-day vacation they had previously planned plus several days for the house to dry out after rain and snow). Based on my interactions with Matt and Luke, I felt comfortable not directly overseeing their work on a daily or even weekly basis. They cleaned up extremely well at the end of the job. For example, the vegetation around the base of the house was raked and the patio was swept. Our experience of Matt and Luke is that they are very detail oriented, professional and trustworthy - as well as being nice people. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

I contacted a number of different painting contractors regarding the job of painting the exterior of our house, built in 1953. The exterior surface was in pretty bad shape, paint was peeling and needed quite of bit of work prior to the painting. Costello Painting had a good rating on Angies List and seemed to be the only group that wanted to do the job. We set up a time about a month from the original bid date. I received a phone call the week before our scheduled date that they would be here the following week to start. They spent about a week prepping and get everything set up for the painting. They worked very hard and did a great job on making repairs and get everything caulked up and the old paint removed. They spent about a week applying paint - two coats and ensuring that everything looked great. They did a fantastic job, our house looks a 100% better. They did an outstanding job, they worked very hard and were always on time and put a good days work. Even when the weather was a bit rainy, they were able to get things done. Great job!

We were very pleased with the outcome. The crew consisted of only 2. Since the job was large it took some time to complete. The only issue we had was that they did not start when originally scheduled because they had not finished the previous job. They were pleasant and easy to work with.

I hired Costello Painting and these guys were excellent! They were extremely professional, neat, and clean beyond belief. They were on time, had the highest quality, and best work ethic in the county!
