Do not, I repeat do not use this company. This is my property and they are crooks. They forged my signature on all the documents and sent them in to the mortgage company without my permission. They sent in a bid for 217, 988 without my knowledge and changed my mailing address to there office with the mortgage company without my permission because again they forged my signature on the authorize release form. You all have not heard the last of me.

Where do I begin? After seeing the amazing work NRT had done on my grandmother's house after a fire and then my brother's house after a flood I knew they were the company to call. My mom needed a new shower because she could no longer get in and out of her sunken tub do to multiple rounds of chemotherapy and her continuous fight with cancer. I messaged Kirk about the situation to see if they could help. He was there with in a few days to give an estimate. It was a Friday he told us they could do it and began work on the following Monday!! Talk about quick response time! I was there daily to watch the progress. The NRT crew was so respectful and nice every time I went to "interrupt" with questions or to take a picture so my mom could see the progress. Kirk went above and beyond to make the shower perfect for my mom. He thought of everything from the built in shelves to the placement of the safety bars and more! I could go on and on about the quality and service of this company! I HIGHLY recommend them and look forward to getting my shower redone!
Description of Work: My mom needed her shower remodeled for medical reasons.

Kirk Hopkins and Christian Chavez were not pushy salespeople upon first meeting them. I cannot say that for the other multitude of vultures (companies) that approached us. I also had no history of NRT's work outside of speaking over the phone with a family who had recently used their services as well as reading through their written reviews they provided with their package of information. God was with us in making this choice, no doubt.....they did not bad mouth any of the other companies to try to acquire our contract. They have been very flexible. They have offered us essentially the ability to build a custom house in our old shell after the fire. They have so far followed through with all commitments as promised with the exception of completing the job within a specified timeframe. They initially told us no more than 4 months to complete the work and it is going on 6 months now, but we are close. Some of the delays have been their fault whereas others have been due to our special requests for upgrades. Ryan Hopkins was in charge of our pack out and was very forthcoming with information and helping us to understand the cleaning process and whether it was worth trying to salvage certain items that had damage. His team was a pleasure to work with in such a stressful situation. He was also very timely with returning items as requested even while in our rent house. I would recommend the NRT team to anyone in a similar situation and even though I hope to never have another job like this, I would do another job with them in the future! Thank you NRT for helping to bring peace to a crazy, disturbing time for our family! Do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information.

They were a first responder, showing up at my house the day after the fire and I had not called them. What some might refer to as and quot;vulturesand quot;. I saw several over the next few days. The gentleman that finally sold me on awarding the project to them was very professional and down-to-earth kind of guy. I was truly impressed. He made several promises to me that made me feel good about my decision to go with this company. One of the promises that were not kept was the promise to include my handy man in some of the smaller portions of the project. I trust him and want to make sure that he stays involved for my peace of mind. He was never involved or even called to come and do things. This resulted in my not knowing if things were being done the way that they should have been done. Now, my handyman says that they cut corners and didn't do everything up to par. Even leaving a code violation that I was told and quot;was not in the scopeand quot; and I am paying extra for my handyman to go behind them and fix what they didn't do correctly. On the day of the adjuster's visit, the President of the company came to make sure that I was compensated for all the damages. At first I was pleased with this and put at ease. But in retrospect, it seems like a good way to insure that the project is as expensive as possible. During the construction phase, I did change the floorplan of the building and expected to pay extras for this change. The extras were a bit on the high side, but then they do have more overhead than my handyman. Ultimately, the project was left unfinished and not to code once they received all of their payment. One other thing you should be made aware of is that they will hound you for payment even when you are at the mercy of your mortgage holder to sign off on the check. No understanding of the process, even though I was told and quot;we work with insurance companies all the timeand quot;. Then they should have known that mortgage companies or individuals do not jump to your every whim and will do things in their time. The home owner has no influence on this process. Yet it is the homeowner that is hounded.

Response from NATIONAL RESTORATION TECH
In response to Ms. [member name removed] review NRT was not aware of any issues with the quality of work for the repairs. All work that was done was inspected and passed by the city inspectors. NRT was never contacted in regards to any warranty or code compliance issues. NRT did contact the owner to inquire as to the status of the payment. With most insurance repair jobs the mortgagor or bank is in control of the insurance proceeds. This requires the owner to sometimes contact them in regards to the status of the payment to ensure we can keep the project moving. This particular mortgagor was handled by an estate/ family trust which was handled by an attorney and not your typical mortgagor or bank. Which required more involvement by the owner and took longer for NRT to receive payment, but NRT continued to work on the job even though the payments were slower then normal. As for the power being turned off this is true, but what the owner did not mention was that NRT paid for them to stay in a hotel for a few days until power was restored to the home. We know we are not perfect but strive to make sure our customers are satisfied with the over all status of the repairs and I am more then willing to speak with Ms. [member name removed] and to correct any items that she feels NRT should fix.
