Nortex Fence & Patio

Nortex did a beautiful job on building my driveway gate and some fencing to enclose our yard. I like the new addition very much. They were professional, and did a great job.

It didn't. Guess they weren't interested in my business or not competent enough to even return phone calls for a quote.

Nortex did a great job on our new fence. It is more then we expected. Everyone we delt with were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Nortex. They are a great company that builds an amazing fence.

After obtaining 3 estimates ,this company provided the same products but with a price about 3,000 less than the other estimates. The workers arrived on time and in less than two days, we had a new fence. I have many plants around the entire yard, not one plant was damaged. The workers were courteous, and efficient and did a very good job. We are very pleased with the fence and would confidently recommend this company to anyone.

He saved me a lot of money! He was honest and told me all I needed to do was replace a battery on my gate motor. The last company said I needed a brand new gate and wanted to charge me $2,000!! I will definitely use them for all my fencing needs in the future! He even offered to walk me through the process of replacing the battery over the phone. I was very appreciative of his honesty.

Very happy with the end product. We worked with Josh and he was excellent in explaining and answering questions throughout the project. He, the deck, paint & roof crew were very professional & courteous. Work spanned over a period of 5 days. Only complaint is the punctuality of when crew showed up vs when they said they will. Not a big deal but would have been great if they were punctual. Overall extremely satisfied with the finished project.

The new deck us beautiful, we could not be happier with how it turned out. We have since hired them to put up board on board 8ft cedar fencing on each side of our home. The fences are now complete and look amazing as well. We will be working with them again on an outdoor kitchen area in the next month or so. They have been really great to work with, and we are excited to use them again our next project!!

Made the appointment for the estimate, Josh called and had to reschedule due to his child being ill (understandable), finally Josh came out and looked at the property, and said he would get the estimate to us the next day. Nothing came, so we waited and finally I texted him and asked for the estimated and he responded and said he once again saying he would get it to us the next day. I contacted Josh one more time for the estimated and this time he refused to even respond. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Maybe he didn't want the job, who knows, either way you need to respond to your customer and be honest. Josh is the owner of the company, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Beware of wasting your time, I certainly wasted my precious time. I can't believe the owner of a company would act so unprofessional.

We had at least 12 bids on the same job. Our first bid was actually NorTex Fence, and we ended up coming back to them in the end. They were not the cheapest, but no where near the most expensive, In fact, their pricing was on the lower end for the work as quoted. The quality of the fence is fantastic, and we're extremely happy with how it ended up. It's a really beautiful fence, the workers, sales staff and office staff were professional, and we're quite pleased. If you're wanting to go super custom, like anodized hinges and latch kits, or a custom stain, this probably isn't the company for you, but they worked fast, efficiently, and the price was right. Highly recommend NorTex Fence!

Nortex was very helpful, informative and they did a very good job with our fence, roof and gutters. I would use them again for future services.

We are very pleased with our Nortex fence! Nortex's price was competitive ($1,500 less than the next quote), the work happened quickly and it looks fantastic. They also fixed a location problem I hadn't expected, essentially the taller fence ended at a strange spot in a decorative window--they adjusted it quickly and hassle free. Both the installation crew and the staining crew were efficient, friendly and kept everything clean. Josh was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to using Nortex on a future porch job. I highly recommend!

We shopped around for a fence company and went with Nortex because of their presentation and we saw their work in our neighborhood. We have a huge fence so we were going to do half this year and half next but when the new fence went up we couldnt wait and went ahead with the full replacement. They did a fantastic job. The builders worked in a timely manner, cleaned up as they went and the new fence looks fantastic. We went with board on board cedar and a top cap with trim. They said they included decorative gates but when they finished with them I was shocked at the craftsmanship of the work. It even included a little iron window which is so cool. We are very pleased with Nortex and will be using them for a new patio very soon.

Prior to construction , the owner came out to discuss our needs for this project and provide a price estimate. He was very knowledgeable about this type of construction and really helped us finalize the style, materials and size of the cover we wanted. The crew showed up to start the project ahead of schedule. As we watched the construction progress, we were very impressed with their dedication, skill and attention to detail. Upon completion, the crew cleaned up well. The finished product looked excellent and we received complements from our neighbors. We had a fairly heavy rainfall a couple of days after completion of the cover and there was not even a hint of a leak! We are very satisfied and feel we got a great product at a fair price.

An initial call one week earlier went unreturned, so I called a second time to request an appointment for an estimate to remodel the front and back yard; i.e., rock retaining wall, fill dirt, sod, sprinkler system, fence, grind tree stomps, remove shrubs, and build rock planters. Josh came and took measurements and offered suggestions for the job. He said he would send me an estimate the following day. We have not heard from him again. We are left guessing why. A quick search of his reviews show that he may not do jobs as large as ours; they appear to be in the ballpark of $10k and less. It would have been nice/respectful to get an honest, "Sorry, but this is more than we can handle at this time, or more services than we provide." Maybe it's because they are too busy; it is spring, but we sure would have appreciated that answer than none at all. Just a suggestion, Josh, you seem like a nice guy, but that would have been the courteous, polite, professional thing to do. We gave this company a D overall because at least he showed up for the appointment.

Went with another company that was three thousand dollars cheapier. we got all the fence we wanted in the first place with out given up anything

Josh came out, seemed like a nice guy, did the walk around and measurements. When it came time for a card or estimate sheet, he said he forgot his estimate sheets at the last house in Allen, TX. He said he would email me the quote later that evening. I have called 3 times and left messages and not heard a word from them. Not only that, but his street intersects my street. He lives about a block away from me. Disappointing is how I would describe this. I figure you would treat a neighbor better than that.

After getting several fence companies to come out and quote repairing or replacing our fence, we decided on Nortex because of the price, reviews, and quick response from Josh. We had Nortex replace our fence with an 8-ft board on board fence with steel posts, top rail, and faux window. We LOVE our new fence. The team was delayed due to a schedule conflict for the initial install date, but Josh keep in communication with me so I knew what was going on . Then after they put the posts in and were to come back out to finish the fence, the ice storm came through and the had to delay coming back by one day. When they came back, they did an amazing job finishing up the fence quickly and efficiently. Their team was respectful and made sure they cleaned up all the supplies and they fixed the few items we asked them to on our final walkthrough. We are currently in the couple week waiting period before Nortex comes back to stain our fence. We cannot wait to see the final produce with the stain. So far their work has been fantastic and we are very pleased with our fence. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and affordable fence company.

The crew was professional and cleaned up the job site after the project was done. I'm looking forward to spending some quality time on the deck this summer.

Josh and his team were great to work with. Of the 3 companies that I had provide quotes, Josh was the most prepared to talk to me. He came with a photo album of past work that his company had completed and he was prepared to provide a quote on the spot. The work started a week later than planned but that was due to the slow response by the city in providing the permit approvals. Josh was diligent in working with the city to try to push the process along and provided regular updates to me. The day work started, Josh came out to make sure his crew knew exactly what needed to be done and then he made regular visits during the week to make sure everything stayed on schedule. The crew arrived every morning at the promised time and made sure to clean up after themselves each day. Nortex also made sure to schedule the required inspections at the appropriate times and responded promptly to inspector comments to ensure approvals were obtained in a timely manner and work continued to progress. As promised, the total process took a little over two weeks (half of which was due to concrete cure). I couldn't be happier with the finished product and I would definitely use Nortex in the future for any fencing or concrete work that I need done.

Both the fence and walkway turned out great. The crews worked fast and into the evening hours to complete the job in record time. At the end, all debris was cleared and the area left in great shape. As with all home projects, I did watch closely to be sure all the details were completed as requested, and everything we found was fixed to our satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a good looking fence.

I shopped around with several vendors before I decided on Nortex-fence. Fence pricing was very competitive with all other companies but in my case the overall price and willingness to answer all my questions prior to contract signing was the winning factor. My project included the construction of the slide electric gate along with the board on board fence. After meeting with Josh I requested that I be provided addresses of previous work that they had completed specifically with a slide electric gate and they were very accommodating with my request. Prior to signing the contract I brought up a number of items to clear up and to make sure it was understood what I wanted and did not want. Once again they were very accommodating with my requests. The work begin date was delayed a few days because of rain but I was fully aware that could happen. Two different crews were involved to complete my project and both were good at what they do. Project duration was a little longer than the anticipated 3 days but in the end that was probably best so that the two different crews were not stepping on each other. I was able to be present while the project was ongoing which facilitated for questions and just making sure that things went smoothly as things progressed. I would recommend this to prevent any headaches and correct problems before it?s too late. My project was completed very recently so I don?t have any experience with the warranty portion of the contract yet (although no issues thus far). If I had to complain about anything it would be the impact to my sprinkler system. I took care to mark all my sprinklers heads as suggested, however, one of my sprinkler zones was inoperable after the completion of the project. NorTex contract does specifically state that they are not responsible for sprinkler repair so I?ve had to deal with the issue myself. All in all I?m satisfied with the workmanship and customer service and would recommend NorTex-Fence to others. Thank you Nortex-fence! UPDATE: This is a follow-up update to review back in early June 2013. My installation was completed May 23, 2013. Just wanted to give an update on my fence. The fence has been in place for about 5 months now. I?m very happy with the workmanship so far. I realize it?s only been 5 months but still it?s had time to settle in a little bit. No issues whatsoever, I had Nortex fence come back within the 30 days to replace a couple of pickets. They took care of the problem areas with no problem. Very glad that we decided to go with the 8 ft fence board on board cedar fence, love the privacy it added over the 6 ft picket style that we had. I?m also very glad that we opted to do the automatic sliding gate portion. The overall price was a little bit hard to swallow but I?m glad we did it now. Frame construction is very solid and the motor used (Liftmaster) is very smooth and quiet. The sliding gate added a little extra security to my car that stays outside of the garage plus it adds a little bit of extra backyard since the driveway is now part of the backyard. Overall very satisfied so far with the work. Please pass on my thanks to both crews that installed my fence and the owner for staying competitive. Great job Nortex!

They were prompt and offered a reasonable price. They were knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The experience went fine.
