"Thank you so much! Looking forward to working with you again in the future!"
It seemed at first a bit slow to get started and we were not notified proactively when no one would be onsite working. We had to follow up several time to get updates on where we were in the process. Once all the original pieces were in place, e.g. design plans complete, inspections completed, the work started and for the most part someone was onsite almost everyday. They were responsive when we asked questions or saw any problem while they were here. In the end, the addition turned out great and the time and money was well spent.
I think the only improvement would be that they be more proactive in communication with the customer, but the work was well done and beautiful!
"Mr. [removed member name], I am very sorry for the experience you have had with B.E. Construction and Roofing. I wanted to respond so that we could clear some of the miscommunication. In regards to billing, the same sales rep explained to you and your wife the process of how the insurance claims go. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding on one or both sides. As our contract states, the first payment from your insurance company is collected as the deposit. Once the work has been completed, we receive the second check from the insurance company. In your situation, 90% of your claim was paid on the first check, but you still had a second check coming from the insurance company as was explained/written in your contract. I'm going to have to apologize on behalf of my salesman with the lack of returned phone calls/emails. As I'm sure you are aware, we had just had a major hail storm and we were receiving an abundance of phone calls and emails daily. On the same note, we explained to all clients that we were at least one month out on our roofing schedule because of the major storm. We work on a first come, first serve basis. At the same time, schedules get pushed out with inclement weather. Unfortunately, we had quite a few rainy days during this rainy season. As far a few fixtures and other possessions falling from the walls of your home, it is normal depending on how they are attached. There is hammering and other construction going on. And again, in your case, it was particularly bad because your home is a trailer home, which we are not particularly accustom to working on. In reference to the skirting issue, I personally called Palm Harbor Homes (the exact number you gave) and the gentleman explained to me that they did not sell parts to modular homes. He did, however, give me a number to a guy that could help me. After several phone calls and voicemails, I never received a returned call. This is when I told you that you would be better off finding someone who specializes on trailer homes. I give my sincerest apologies for all of the misunderstandings. Our salesmen are usually very clear on explaining the process to our clients and we've never had these issues before. We are focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction and as a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. My hope is that you will give us another try in the future."
In addition, I asked him to install a ridge vent when roofing. He did. As it turned out my house was constructed without soffit vents, he had them cut into the soffit all around including upstairs. He also had the siding folks cover the existing gable vents to avoid competition with the soffit to ridge vent system. He did everything I asked of him in a timely fashion and saved me my deductible. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
