Description of Work: Replaced my kitchen counters with high quality granite. Also replaced my back splash with a rustic type of very attractive tile. This big project took only 4 days start to finish(a big box store nearby me said this job would take them up to 6 weeks to complete). The results is beautiful and shows they take pride in putting out a quality product. Four years ago they removed my plastic master shower and replaced with a beautiful tile shower that is more functional. My experience with Remodel Specialists has been excellent.

Description of Work: We hired remodel specialist to redo a steam shower that was previously put in wrong. We had the shower demolished and remodel specialist redid the whole shower. They did it timely, it looks great and we are very very happy with the quality of their work.

Description of Work: They replaced our bathroom cabinets, installed new sink and fixtures and placed granite on the vanity plus did a facial around the bathtub. It went very well and they did a top notch job.

Description of Work: I used Remodel Specialists for a major updating of the master bath in our previous home, re-do of an upstairs bath, and installation of granite in kitchen. I was very pleased with all aspects of that previous job. We down-sized in Sept of 2014, so I knew we wanted to use this company again in our new house. |They scraped heavy texture from walls in kitchen and breakfast room; textured and repainted. Built and installed an open cabinet to match existing cabinetry in kitchen; added molding to top of existing cabinets to look more finished. (Their idea, and I love it.) |Installed granite in master bath, half bath, and small bathroom upstairs. |As in our previous job, all of the workers were considerate of us, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Sarah let us know every morning who was coming to our house, and what was to be done. All of the work was completed in a timely manner, and beautifully done. Any little glitches were taken care of immediately and cheerfully. |I enjoy working with this company very much.

Description of Work: They have pretty much "remade" our house-- two fantastic bathrooms, wood floors, painting, built in shelves and cabinets-- I've reviewed them several times and can't say enough wonderful things about them and the artisans that work for them-- amazing team! We have another project that they will be starting soon and we know it will be well done! They may cost a little more than the "other guy" but the other guy isn't nearly as good...they are amazingly talented and trustworthy and stand behind their product.

Description of Work: The staff was always pleasant and professional. When I was told someone would call me I recieved a call. One time I called and the owner answered the phone. He took the time to talk to me and ask me questions and give me suggestions on products he's used before. | |I was just outside their working area but he was willing to come give me an estimate and let me know how extensive the work could be. I sure wish they worked in my area of town.

Description of Work: They took out the garden tub and removed existing shower. They took out carpeting, removed old mirror, counter tops, sink, toilets, one standing cabinet, ceiling fan, heat lamp, wallpaper, and a window. The new shower is now all tile from floor to ceiling and is triple the size. Beautiful tile work with glass tile inserts. New multi-head shower panel. Shower floor tile and all new floor tile on the diagonal.It looks like slate. Then a custom cabinet was built for the space that was the tub. There are side pull outs for golf clubs and a shoe rack. Lots of drawers and much more usable space than the previous tub. Gorgeous granite with new drop in sinks and new hardware. They put in an exhaust fan that is quiet and a small chandelier. But the real eye catcher is the glass block window where the old window used to be and the glass block between the double sinks that look into the shower. Wow, that was Jim's idea and it looks great. There is a new ocean blue paint color adds a peaceful mood with the other colors in the room. They installed new Toto toilets that work very well and are energy saving too. We think we are staying in a five star hotel every time we go in there.

Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel down to the studs to start. Tiled downstairs floors and hand scraped wood floors and carpet up. Added rock to fireplace to tie in rock from kitchen hood.

Description of Work: We had our master bathroom completely redone. It is a large bathroom and had quite a bit of water damage in a large walk-in shower. We wanted the wall repaired, new tiling, a remodeling of the tub area and new tile throughout. New countertops and painting were to finish it off. When we first contacted different contractors we were very specific in what we wanted done, what fixtures we wanted saved, etc. Jim was the most responsive to our desires and spent more time with us showing us their system and materials. One of the reasons I chose Remodel Specialists was because they were very prompt with the estimate. They were very polite and had THE best estimate (line by line very detailed) of all that I received. The estimate was extremely detailed, actually a wonder to behold. Each item was by line item and you knew exactly what you could do yourself to save money. When we signed the contract we went through and detailed what we would do and what they would do (okay, we had them do everything...plumbing is not our friend - lol). BUT, it was very possible for us to separate out things like installing a toilet or sink and know exactly how much we would save by doing so. They also would not implement any changes to the contract without first giving us a change order, explaining the reason behind it and getting our signature on it. That way there was absolutely no surprises at the end of the job. They were not the cheapest, but they offered a 10 year guarantee on their showers against leaking as well as service calls for minor issues. They have their own tilers, framers, painters etc so they are not trying to get a subcontractor out to finish their job over another contractor's job. Having a previous job be delayed due to subcontractors availability this was a concern of mine. Our cost was exactly what was quoted to us with the exception of the budget items which we controlled the cost of (he gave a suggested dollar amount but the amount spent was determined by what choices we personally made, we were aware of these costs when we made them). The job took the amount of time that we expected. Whatever grading scale you want to use they got top marks. I did not have any issues with any of the workers. They were all extremely polite and conscientious of our family. They even put up with our stinky dogs wanting to be pet. They used a lock box to gain entry to the house and I felt totally safe and secure with them working in the house.

Description of Work: They gutted our bathroom and took out tub, cabinets & fixtures. We replaced with a larger shower & enclosure, cabinets, new toilet, sinks, etc.

Description of Work: I requested a bid from Remodel Specialists and Jim Godre came to my house to discuss the job. He was on time and professional. He promised he would get back to me in about a week with a bid. After 3 weeks, I sent him a note and he called to apologize and say the bid would be out in a week. I sent him 2 more notes over the next 2 months with no reply. I can understand a contractor deciding not to bid a job, even though he said he would, but at a minimum he should have told me he had decided to decline the bid.

Description of Work: Hardwood was installed throughout our downstairs. We took out dark laminate and replaced it with beautiful, prefinished, light-colored hardwood which brightened up the room and made them look much larger. They also installed all baseboards, caulked and painted them and installed quarter round to finish them off.

Description of Work: They completely remodeled my kitchen. Took it from an old, small and non-functional kitchen to a gorgeous, modern, bright one. Replaced cabinets, new granite counters, new floors, new back splash, paint, new lighting, new window.

Description of Work: The bathroom was carpeted and the shower was leaking in the walls. The remodel included gutting the shower to the studs and rebuilding the shower with new tile. The carpet was pulled up and tile was put on the floor. The wallpaper was painted over with the trim also being painted.
