+ -1 moreI didn’t dislike anything. I thought they did an excellent job. The court flooring was beyond line capability because it was on an upper deck which I had turned into a sunroom. It wasn’t exactly leveled and so they had to do some extraordinary work which I have never seen. But we had the hardwood put in and they did just a beautiful and absolutely gorgeous job. I was really thrilled with them. They did a fine job on the court as well. In the hardwood flooring installation there were stairs too so it was really difficult to putting that step in. We had to move everything in the two bedrooms and then take a huge 20 by 20 room put the wood down and then moved everything back out of that room. So it took a little longer than usual but I was very happy with their work. The price depends on quality but I got what I paid for.
Description of Work: I used Accent Wood Floors for installing new wooden flooring for 100 feet. We had the court put in later.

Description of Work: Jim Matthews, the owner of Accent Wood Floors is not a person you want to do business with! We had several issues with him that left us with a very negative experience: - He was having financial issues so he was always asking for a draw on the job. - His worker(s) were not dependable. - The work performed did not meet the quality he promised. - He came out and agreed there was work to be done to complete the job properly. - He did not ever show up to do the repairs. - We have had two wood floor specialists come out to review the work Jim's company provided: 1. Both companies reported that the wood planks were not laid and adhered properly which is causing wide cracks in three different areas of our kitchen and breakfast room. 2. Only one coat of sealer was used and both companies report that two should have been applied. 3. The cost estimates to repair the job range from $2000 - $2500. - After attempting to contact Jim several times by telephone for over a year time frame, he finally did come out and inspect the problems. He told us that we had a humidity problem (lack of) in our house and that is what caused the problems. He said he would repair everything if we purchased a humidifier and ran it for up to one month to see if the cracks would minimize. We purchased a large $200 humidifier and ran it for over a month, during which time we made several attempts to contact Jim. - He still has not returned our phone calls. - It has been two years of dissatisfaction with the job Jim Matthews' company performed, and we have yet to receive satisfaction on his promises.

+ 0 moreThe wood floors are beautiful, however working with the subcontractors schedules and getting a response back from the owner to complete one last detail is an ongoing situation. The owner subcontracts out the work with the subcontractors not showing up until 10:00am to 10:30am and not leaving until 7:00pm or 7:30pm, when you are informed they will begin at 9:00am. There are two (2) guys working with one (1) leaving most of the time or on the phone which delays progress. The owner came only once during the installation process. He only came one other time after installation when the defect was brought to his attention. The balance of the job was paid upon completion, however a defect was noticed over a month ago. Making contact with the company is to no avail as they will not answer the phone or return my phone calls. The company is aware of the replacement.
Description of Work: Over 1400 square feet of wood floors installed in my home. Carpet was taken up and removed. Furniture was moved with quarter round installed after the wood floor was installed.
