Todd came out the next day after I contacted him and gave an estimate. I decided to install a sound bar system for the TV above the fireplace and when I called Todd he said there was not an additional charge for the Sound Bar even offered to buy the Sound Bar with free shipping but I chose to buy it local. Mike was the installer, came out on time and did an excellent job with the installation even had to cut some drywall and he patched the spot like nothing was done. Modern Media gets my highest recommendation 1st place I would call to have a TV mounted. Modern Media would be the 1st place I would go to have Home Theater and any type of wiring computer network.

Modern Media was first rate from start to finish. Todd responded promptly to our initial contact. He provided a competitive bid and then revised it with additional requests from us. After we selected their bid, Modern Media scheduled the installation promptly. Their conduct and work was professional, and we are very pleased with the outcome and access to his assistance for an additional 90 days, included. Highly recommend!!

It is absolutely wonderful. The system not only looks clean and modern, it sounds great. Both Todd and Mike are personable, polite, and experts at their work. They say their work is their passion and it shows. We now have our flat screen TV mounted on the wall with a new sound bar underneath it. We chose to use a Roku3 to expand our choices. All the components including the big cable box are neatly hidden in a decorative chest I already had in the room. Mike took the time to set up the new accounts and program the new remote. He was very patient explaining all the functions to us and demonstrating them also. He cleaned up the work area so we had no cleaning to do when he left but time to sit back and enjoy the new system. He also mounted a smaller tv for the game room. To further show their professionalism, Todd followed up with a visit to go over the new system with us and answer our questions. Todd and Mike did an excellent job installing our system. They were very orderly and professional. I was going to get several other estimates from other vendors but meeting with Todd convinced me I needed to go no further. The estimate was fair and reasonable and was a quality job. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. They purchased all of the needed equipment and gave excellent guidance on what equipment we should install. The work looks great and they cleaned up after it was done.

The room looks and sounds great! Todd from Modern Media made the choice of contractor easy. He arrived promptly for the estimate, and helped tremendously with choosing the equipment that worked for my budget. He offered references of previous installs, and I was able to visit with the previous customer and get their review. The Epson projector on the 92" screen is perfect for my small media room. The picture looks great, even with the sconce lights on. The Yamaha sound system blew us away, especially watching the dinosaurs on Jurassic Park. The kids love it, but the only problem is, they never want to come out of the media room now. Todd and crew were very professional during the install - arrived exactly on time and cleaned up after themselves. Speakers were recessed, and painted to match the wall color. Both Todd and Mike were thorough and patient when explaining how to use the equipment, especially the all powerful remote! I even used Todd's recommendation for a painter to paint the room before the install. The cost was about 1/2 my other estimates. Todd purchased all of the equipment, so the system was truly "turnkey". My check of equipment prices showed me Todd was giving better prices than I could find, so I truly believe I got the best value for my money. I would easily recommend Modern Media to others.

Ichose this company after reading the reviews from past customers. I was not disappointed. From the beginning of our first telephone contact, Todd Forgan, the owner, treated my project like it was just as important as the much more expensive projects he had done. After discussing the job over the phone, I decided to use his services and was scheduled within the week. Todd and his colleague Mike, arrived promptly and began work by taking a quick survey of the job to be done. Throughout, Mike walked me through the process of the new installation from relocating the electrical and cable outlets. I wanted to make sure the new installatoin was clean and that all the wires and connections were neatly hidden within the walls. The only hiccup came when they removed the 55 inch from its original location to replace it with the new 60 inch TV. After the new TV was mounted and they powered it on to go through the set-up, they discovered it was defective. I immediately contacted the dealer and made plans to have a new set delivered. In the meantime, while I was working the details with the dealer, Todd and Mike went to work installing the 55 inch. By the time I was done talking to the dealer, they were about finished with the installation and were ready for me to come and check placement of the TV set. In spite of the disappointment of having received a defective product, I was extremely pleased wit the work they were able to do and the care they took with my home. Todd, without hesitation offered to return at no charge when the new TV arrived so they could again through the process of mounting it for me. True to his word, he and Mike came out the same day the new set arrived, after they had finished a job they started earlier that day. If that wasn't enough, Todd noticed that my wife and I had been listening to the radio through our built-in sound system and asked where it was connected. He explained that he thought only one channel was operating from the pair of speakers in the living room ceiling. His curiosity got the best of him and he proceeded to troubleshoot the speaker connections. In the end, he had spent an additional 15 to 20 minutes checking and correcting some loose connections in a the closet where the speaker connections were made. We had never noticed that the speakers were not operating properly. He went the extra mile for something he had no obligation to do. You can bet he will be getting my business whenever I need any additional work done.

Modern Media did a professional job. They were one of the few that responded back. The tech even called to say he was stuck in traffic. They quick and the work was great.

A+ for a job well done. I would highly recommend Modern Media to anyone needing any type of audio/video installations done. Todd was in communication before, during & after the installation by Mike, who was prompt and did an excellent job.

Tood & team did an excellent job in first consulting on the best solution for the spaces within my home, ordering the equipment necessary to complete the work, and finally completing the installation. Since technology moves so quickly, Todd was able to educate me on the newest technology that would satisfy my needs while doing so within the budget I had in mind. Never did Todd attempt to "over-sell" the solution and provide me something that I didn't need. For the installation, Todd and his partner went above and beyond to route wiring to expose only what was necessary, including squeezing into some pretty tight locations. As promised, Todd was able to complete the work within a day that included setting up the A/V equipment, installing a center channel, wiring/installing for remote speakers in my bonus room, and finally installing 2 outdoor speakers for my patio. Finally, the best part for me was that Todd was very communicative and responsive throughout the process - a huge item for me. An excellent job - thanks Todd.

I connected to Todd via Angie's list and he responded very promptly. He set an appointment to come to my house and review my project so he could provide a proposal. He showed up on time and prepared. He listened to my objectives and built a competitive proposal for the project. He was very professional and took the time to really understand my needs. His proposal was very competitive, both on equipment as well as pricing. We went through several rounds of revision to capture the complete scope of the project and he never showed any sign of being annoyed, quickly answering any and all questions. Ultimately, I selected a different person for the project as that person was attempting to get in good with our builder so was providing equipment at costs that would not make economical sense for Todd to try and match (loss leader approach). Had this not been the case, I would have gone with him. Ultimately, he's a competent person who does a good job of talking in the language of the consumer (doesn't geek speak you like a lot of these guys). He is also transparent in that he explains what he is and isn't including. I would definitely consider him for future projects.

The experience was great! Not only did I get a discount for being an Angie's List member, their prices were far cheaper than any other company I looked at - and they did a fantastic job. I spoke with Todd several times and asked many questions about the process and he was very patient and went through and answered everything I needed to feel comfortable. We were able to schedule on a Saturday which was very convenient for me, and we received a confirmation call the morning of. Todd also let me know who would be coming and how long he worked for the company so I knew what to expect. Mike, the tech, showed up on time and was very personable. He looked at what we wanted done, talked through different potential options, then set to work. He finished in about 90 minutes, and did a great job. He cleaned up so well that you didn't even know he was there. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We plan on installing surround sound speakers down the road, and we will definitely be call modern Media to do it!

To begin the project, I contacted 4 competitors via email (all highly rated on Angie's List) to set-up my new media room. Three were prompt to respond, and I received free in-home quotes for each. All three businesses provided reasonable quotes, with various differences in their approaches and equipment. After analyzing all the quotes with follow-up questions, I chose Modern Media (Todd Forgan) for the installation for the following reasons: - Incredibly quick and detailed responses to technical and cost questions - MM uses known, high-quality components quoted (Yamaha receiver, Polk Audio speakers, Epson Pro projector, etc.) - Multiple priced options (with good technical detail) for different projectors and speakers - Universal Remote solution that allows ME (not a technician) to reprogram it as I choose, when i choose - Flexibility to my upgrade choices as we completed the component selections - Reasonable, fair pricing, and several options to maximize my value regarding equipment selection - Could start work within the week, and estimated completion within 2 days of start After we discussed equipment, and set the schedule with Mike (his primary installer), Todd ordered my selected AV gear. On installation day(s), Mike was prompt, professional, and worked efficiently on the install, including full cleanup each day. Mike was also very flexible with us regarding availability to the space/house, when we needed a few hours away from home on the second setup day. When complete, he spent about 90 minutes going through the operation of the room, including set-up of the Universal Remote. Todd then setup appointment about a week later to inspect the work, and ensure that we were happy. He also troubleshot a minor IR/remote issue at that time (fixed on the spot), and spent about 2 hours going through very technical aspect of the install and working with me to ensure I was 100% satisfied, and understood the working of the gear. Extremely thorough and attentive to detail. He also reminded me of his warranty for his work, and offered further suggestions for any later additions, if desired. Great experience, and would ABSOLUTELY use Modern Media again. Most highly recommended!

Perfect-O. Todd is the best. I think we were one of his first installs so I've needed to write this review for a v-e-r-y long time. Todd took into consideration what we were wanting in our early 70's era home and he created it. He actually did some rebuilding of shelving and made the entertainment area accommodate our needs. He is a stickler for detail and true perfectionist about his work. We will definitely be calling Modern Media in the not too distant future because we will be buying a new house and moving. (Todd...you have been warned. Ha!)

It went perfect. For the record, the $6000 included all speakers, 2 TV's ( 70 and 60 in) &receiver. Not only did the actual install go great, but Todd is a master at patching holes in the drywall. There were approx 10 holes in drywall and after he was done I can't even see where they were. He has a master level knowledge of A/V. He made something that seemed complicated turn into pure simplicity. Always answers phone or returns calls promptly. he is professional, honest, and someone I will use inthe future,

as concerned enough to check for himself when I had a concern. When I first called, the owner spent a lot of time with me on the phone and set up an appt that week, within a couple days in fact. The first gentlemen who showed up wasn't able to run the wire and suggested an expensive piece of equipment to make it all work due to the difficulty of trying to hard-wire the system. I called the owner that evening, left a message, and got a quick return phone call. I just wanted him to verify the issue. He came by that evening to check for himself and decided they could indeed hard-wire the system, which was done the next morning. He also gave me a discount because of the mistake made earlier in the day. I will most certainly use them again. The price was fair, the quality was good, and most especially because the owner when I had a concern. He was prompt, returned phone calls in a quick manner, and was pleasant to work with.

They’re excellent! The work was great! They were super professional and arrived exactly on time. They even left my house cleaner than when they found it. It was an exceptional experience. I have recommended them to my friends and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Todd was extremely prompt and thorough in all communication. He spent nearly as much time here on his first visit as he did a couple of days later, when he did the actual work. We went over my wishes and hopes, discussed various plans and possibilities, talked about the sound components and the details involved, right down to our preferred wire size, and arranged a price within my budget. The day of the job, he verified the plan with me, explained everything he was going to do, updated me as he went along, and checked up on us after the job was done. We are thrilled with the results! James B. Lansing was my grandfather, and my speakers (and their sound!) mean a lot to me. We couldn't have chosen anyone better than Todd to set up our system!

Started and finished on time. The house was neater when he left than when he arrived. We were totally satisfied with the finished product!

Todd is wonderfully personable and knowledgeable. He takes time problem solving in a consultative manner. He was flexible with adopting equipment that I had, or that I preferred to use.
