Overall everything went really well. I first contacted Modern Media through their online "Contact Us' and did my best to explain what work we needed. Todd called within 24 hrs. to schedule a time to provide a consultation and qoute. Todd was very punctual, polite, and was very honest with what he thought would work best. He also provided options so that we could make an informed decision based upon our budget. He didn't try to sell us a service we didn't need. After coming by we received the qoute the next day and we decided to go with Modern Media. On the day of the install Todd' team of installers, Mike and Nick, arrrived on time and were very professional. They did a fantastic job and were very respectful of our home. You could tell they took pride in their work. We are looking to do other Audio/Video work in the future and would definitely use Modern Media again.

Todd was extremely helpful in taking us through the process of what we were trying to achieve and worked withing our budget to create the perfect sound system for us. His installation team of Mike and Nick were punctual and did a superior job of installing our speakers. Dyrwall needed to be patched and painted to center our front speakers and you would never know it was done. A great job all around. Todd followed up the next day to walk through and check all the work and review the use of the sound system. We look forward to adding on other rooms in the near future.

The team arrived on time as promised, They work was professionally done and they explained to me the entire process start to finish. Drywall repair work where cut was made was fantastic and you cant even tell the wall was opened. I would definitely use this provider again.

Called and owner told me they were very busy -- offered to come out the next day and troubleshoot it and fix if something simple or schedule a follow-up service call if the repair required was more extensive - very much appreciated because I anxious to get the speakers fixed for an upcoming party. Quickly fixed the problem and while there set up my new receiver that I hadn't done yet (connected to internet, upgraded firmware, and optimized the speaker settings for the TV surround). Great service!

Modern Media is a first class operation. Todd and his crew have a level of professionalism, communication and attention to detail that I have not seen in contractors. Modern Media took us through the whole process from design to hardware to training. Todd was able to present cost effective pressure free solutions. Moved into a new home that had wall speakers that the previous owner had not hooked up. Contacted several sound system installation companies and decided on Modern Media. Hands down the most professional meeting of all the companies that I contacted. Todd took the time to check the type of speakers that were here and said that they were excellent and there was no need to replace them. The other companies automatically said that they needed to be replaced without taking the covers off to see what type they were. This was a great savings. Todd explained everything in layman's terms that were easily understood. The technicians were on time, very personable and took the time to explain how everything worked when they completed the installation. All in all - I had an excellent experience, would highly recommend Modern Media/Todd and plan to use them in the future should the need arise. S

From start to finish, Modern Media was a professional, experienced, and extremely knowledgeable company to work with. Todd guided us through the selection of equipment, even giving suggestions on an entertainment console to house the equipment in. They showed up on time, installed the system, including four in-wall speakers flawlessly with no mess, and instructed us on the use of the new system. My previous ?system? included a JVC receiver I purchased in 1985 and two speakers a friend had made for my wife when she was in junior high! So, needless to say, we are neophytes when it comes to home theater systems. Todd will guide you all the way and is very prompt in responding to your questions, whether by email or phone. The experience was enjoyable and worth every penny.

The Harmony Ultimate Remote that Todd of Modern Media installed with our new audio system for us a year ago has just been fantastic, dependable & simple to use, especially compared to the $1,000 remote we had before, it was such a waste. A couple of months ago, I tried to install Amazon FireTV into my system but the instructions from Amazon did not put the sound through my audio system. I spent lots of time on the net researching how to get FireTV sound through the audio without any success. I sent Todd an email describing the problem & in a little bit received an email with instruction which worked great & the FireTV audio comes now through the audio system instead of the speakers on the TV. Now I wanted to install the FireTV onto my Harmony remote. However, while the instructions on the Harmony website are very detailed and designed to help even a novice user, I couldn't get it installed onto my remote. So, I sent an email to Todd describing the problem I was having programing the remote. Within just a short time I received an email back with additional instruction. It still didn't work & I sent another email to Todd and again he was there to help and spent quite a bit of time contributing his support and experience. He treated & honored me as a person not just a sale or a number - may his numbers be greatly multiplied as this is the quality of dedication that assures America is a great land to have a life. Over the last 20 years I've used several different audio professionals, however, I can say unequivocally that Modern Media is the best of them all.

Todd (the owner) and his team were by far the most professional, thoughtful, punctual, outstanding contractors we have worked with for anything, not just A/V. From the initial meeting to proposal, planning, and installation, Modern Media exceeded our expectations. They were on time for every single appointment, always did what they said they would do, and took great care to ensure that everything met our satisfaction (and their high standards). I would assume high cost for this level of service, but Todd worked to keep costs within our budget. Even product costs, which he could have charged a premium for, were the same price we could have gotten them for at Costco, Amazon, or similar when we shopped it around. I would highly recommend Modern Media for A/V design and installation needs!

I worked with Todd to setting up an appointment. He was very flexible to my schedule. He had availability within 4 days of my call. Others I had contacted said the next available opportunity was any where from a week and half to three weeks out. I told Todd my situation, that I had existing cable pull from a remodeling job that was done in 2005 and I needed it pulled from the attic, down a wall to central point where the router was located. Todd asked some additional questions and once satisfied, provided an estimate which was very fair. Mike, a technician from Modern Media, arrived 10 minutes early, which was great. I showed Mike the situation and we walked through the rooms to inspect the locations. Mike went to work. About 3 hours into the job, Mike was able to get continuity. Something to point out here. There was miscommunication between myself and Todd on the scope of the project. I believe I had stated there were 3 rooms that I needed connected. Todd was under the impression that there was just one. Mike, being the one in the middle and wanting the please the customer, got continuity in all 3 rooms in that 3 hours. Mike advised Todd that the job might take longer than expected because of the 3 rooms. Todd called me advised the estimate was based on a single room and that we would work something out. Mike used his laptop to ensure the cabling would support internet connectivity. One room came up easily while the other two were not working. Mike spent the next hour working to get those two rooms up. I told Mike that having one was good and that we could work with that. Mike said that "it had now become personal, and he would be damned to leave if he couldn't get the other rooms up!" It took Mike another hour and half to get the rooms up. The issues wound up being one room had a nick in the cable at the box and had cut 2 wires. The other was one of the spicing blocks he used was bad (very odd). Needless to say, we were very pleased with Mike's work ethic and diligence in working through the issues. Given the duration of Mike's stay, I was expecting a bill in the $500+ range. However, Todd said he would make it right due to the confusion in the scope of work and the challenges that Mike faced. For any future cabling, networking, A/V needs, I will be contacting Modern Media. Can't ask for a more honest, upstanding team that will ensure the job is done right the first time!

Todd and his team went above and beyond to design us 2 media systems that addressed all that we wanted. While building our outdoor living area, Todd himself met with our electrician and stone mason to insure that they had everything in place we needed for our outdoor system. He provided them detailed with diagrams and instructions and was instrumental in the construction. After everything was installed inside and out, he programmed everything so we could use the systems with no problems or confusion. We are not tech saavy but the remotes and receiver he set up for us are easy to learn and use. Any questions we did have we were are able to shoot him a text or email and they are answered right away. We have really enjoyed the systems Todd set up for us and would highly recommend him for any of your media needs.

Todd was great to work with. We felt very comfortable working with him and it was easy to do not having to take days off from work to be there during the installation. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to anyone.

The project went extremely well. Modern Media's installation team arrived as expected and did the job correctly. The televisions look great and all systems are now controlled by a single remote. My family is very happy with the new entertainment setup and we can enjoy it inside or on the back patio. I ook forward to working with Modern Media for phase two to install the speakers. There is no way I could have completed the installation myself. If I tried, I would have only messed things up and cost myself more money in the long-run. Todd is very knowledgeable and extremely transparent. He took the time to listen to what our needs were and find the right solution for us. I'm very glad that we choose Modern Media.

Project went Great! Arrived on time and figured the problem out and went to work to fix the lift system that had mechanically malfunctioned and was replaced by the manufacture.

Todd is "at max capacity" and unable to take on new projects, but waited to tell me he was going to "pass" on my project until 18 days after we first spoke on the phone about the work I was looking to have done, agreeing to set up an in-person appointment, meeting me at my house for the appointment, and telling me on several occasions he would provide me the quote for the job. I wasted over two weeks waiting for Todd to give me the estimate so that we could start work on the job. On Oct 5, I called Todd to talk about the work I was looking to have done. Based on my description, Todd agreed to set up an in-home consultation for the following day. On Oct 6, we met at my house and spoke at length about the project. Todd made several recommendations that would have expanded the cost and complexity of the project. I was open to some of his suggestions, but others were too expensive and/or complicated for what I had called him the day before to have done. Nevertheless, Todd agreed to write up a quote based on our discussion. The next day, Oct 6, I followed up with Todd to report back to him on some "research" he had asked me to do in order to speed up the time it would take to complete a bid for the project. On this day, he replied that he would. On Oct 12, a week since Todd and I first spoke, I contacted him to find out when he would have the estimate ready. He replied on this day that he was trying to get the estimate done that day. On Oct 19, two weeks since Todd and I first spoke, I tried contacting him to get the status of the project bid but did not get a reply. Finally, on Oct 22, Todd replied that he would "pass" on my project because he is at 110% capacity due to other large, complex jobs. He proceeded to give me some other individuals contact information which I could not independently research on Angie's List. I enjoyed the times that I spoke and met with Todd, and he certainly seems knowledgeable, but I sincerely believe based on the conversation we had during the in-home consultation and our subsequent text messages that he is unable to manage the amount of work he has with his business. I can't speak to what effect that has on his quality and performance on a job, but it has certainly comprised his professionalism with regard to customer contact and common courtesy.

Todd and his crew are very professional and the job was executed very smoothly. Todd was very attentive and punctual with the work performed and was always easy to get ahold of and didn't ask for payment until the work was complete. His team ran cat cables from our game room, where the media 'hub' is to 8 different tvs throughout the house (3 of which are on one wall in the game room). We have uverse for TV and Verizon for Internet. He ran 2 cables to each TV...1 for uverse and 1 for Verizon (Data for smart tvs). I would recommend Modern Media to my friends and family. A+++ work. The complexities of my existing 12 year old audio systems were a real work out for Todd. After two days, Todd had mastered the old with the new. Some additional changes had to be made to make everything work together. Todd helped me deal with all of the required changes, and successfully handle the new system's requirements into the old audio systems. As an IT Tech person, I thought I had a good grasp of what I thought I needed. Todd helped me to understand specific adaptions needed to make the old work with the new in the audio world. The combination of, and the integration of, the new Denon A/V unit and the Niles 16 channel power amp, and the eight rooms with sound in them was a real test. Todd made it all happen and work well. I would definitely recommend Todd to anyone who needs to upgrade, or build a whole new audio / video system. Todd has a wealth of knowledge, experience and the patience to deal with demanding clients.

Great techs, professional installation.

Todd, Mike, and Nick did a great job. They were professional, on time, and took pride in their work. Todd explained everything when he came for an initial consultation and we were able to make modifications as necessary to have the PERFECT theater room with excellent sound and picture. The TV set up on the back porch is great as the TV can be articulated toward the spa/pool and not only are there speakers on the covered porch, but speakers that play out toward the pool/spa area so you can watch the game or listen to music while swimming. The surround sound set up in the main living area is great and extra touches were made to make it user friendly, as in the theater room. I would definitely recommend Modern Media to anyone looking to set up a media room, add surround sound to any existing area, or even set up their outdoor living area.

Todd and hi steam transformed my old media room in to a state of the art home theater with a 145" AT screen, concealed cabling, universal remote, lighting, best quality speakers, projector, they also took care of painting touch-ups, carpeting , platform and seating. Total turn key project. Very happy with their services. Todd is one of the best AV persons I have ever met. Their support is top notch.

We had an outstanding experience with the whole Modern Media team. Mike installed 12 speakers in one day! He showed up on time, worked hard all day and cleaned up everything. The equipment is excellent and we love listening to both TV and music. Sound quality is amazing. The installation was neat and tidy, just the way I like things done. The installation crew was courteous and efficient. They were on time every day and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. They spent time deciding where to place speakers for quality of sound and an aesthetically pleasing design. We couldn't be happier. Should we decide to add speakers to other rooms of the house, Modern Media will our go-to provider.
