He checked everything and decided it was MINOR setteling and nothing needs to be done at this time and would not take any money for is time. His company name is TRUE... Honesty....

I choose to tunnel under the house because I did not want to go through all the headaches of the interior damage that is caused when they jack hammer holes inside the house. The tunneling started on about the 18th of August, and when the tunneling was complete, I had about 115' of tunnels for the leveling of the house. Joe installed about 35 exterior piers and about 18 interior piers. Joe indicated that this was the largest leveling project he had done and Honesty Foundation did GREAT. Did I have some casualties to the house? Yes I did, but they raised the front of my house 5" in the front of my house, and my casualties were minimal. I have 4 seam cracks in sheet rock, 4 floor tile cracked, and some grout lines cracked. I have one pocket door that operates a little tougher, but as I said they raised my house 5" in some places. Now when I drop a glass of water on the floor I don't have the river nile rushing to the front part of the house. It just puddles up in one spot. I would recommend Honesty Foundation to anyone, and if I ever move and need foundation work again, I know who I am calling. Joe Winter, Thanks for a tremendous job. He even came back to make sure my yard was properly cleaned up when it wasn't all his mess.

Joe Winter and his crew did a great job. They performed the job in a timely fashion. The crew was very respectful of our property. This was a very big job and they handled the challenge very well. I recommend. Joe Winter and his company without hesitation.

This service provider really lives up to the name Honesty Foundation. He explained why he felt the foundation did not need any repair and made some recommendations. I learned a lot and I suspect he saved me thousands of dollars.

The owner Joe Winter is a straight shooter. Honest ( just like his companies motto .... ) and does a great job for a very responsible price. Called before he came to tell us he was on the way. Arrived on time. Was very pleasant and professional. Checked foundation all around the house. Checked for level, cracks, and level of soil around the house and said all looked okay. Very helpful!

It went very well. I am planning to help my mom remodel her former home to get it ready for sale. Mr. Winter showed up at the promised time and got to work. He was professional and detailed. He took his time and explained his findings to me. He showed me that the multiple elevations taken around the house were all well within acceptable limits. He pointed out what he was looking for around the interior and exterior of the house. At the end, he asked me how he could help, since my mom's foundation was in such good shape that "he wasn't sure why he was there". He was hesitant to even charge me, although his expertise provided great relief. I would definitely use him for foundation work in the future.

On 04/14/2014 Joe Winter came over and gave us an estimate to level our slab. We had already had 3 other Angie's List companies come out to give us estimates. Joe was professional and easy to talk to and also his company was in our area and we just felt good about him overall and his price was the best we'd had too. Price was not our be all end all, but certainly a factor that had to be within a reasonable budget, as we had many other things that needed to be done around here also. We finally decided on using Joe and scheduled the work finally on 06/04/2014. The guys were there at 7A as agreed and they did a great job on the project and cleaned up well afterward. My ONLY regret is I let Joe do 1 pier on the front corner of the house that was still pretty level, as an anchor. When they broke out the concrete it chipped one corner of a slab that I had no intention of replacing. We are getting most of the driveway replaced anyway, but that one chip is kind of a downer because we did not want to replace that particular section of the driveway. I did not ask Joe to make it right, because there obviously are going to be some casualties of war on a project of this magnitude and I believe Joe was fair with us. The mission is complete and I would use Joe again, but just watch the crew on the jack-hammer to make sure they stay in the lines, lol. Joe actually came in under his original bid also, which was greatly appreciated! Thanks Joe!

My house needed foundation work and I began getting quotes from various contractors. I contacted honesty foundation and set up an appointment for the following week at 8am. The day of the appointment no one showed up at 8 am or even called. Later in the day (11am) I got a call from Mr. Winter saying he had another appointment and asked if he could come later after lunch. I was not very happy since I made my appointment a week in advance and I guess he could sense my frustration. He decided to show up right after the call. He finally arrived and proceeded to take his measurements and conduct his inspection. At the conclusion he explained the work he thought my work would need and I asked for an estimate (the whole point of the appointment) he said he would email me one. Weeks passed and I never received anything from honesty foundation. All the red flags went up with this guy and I would not recommend using his services.

The earlier review of AFF Honesty Foundation I wrote was based on experience with another company with a very similar name. AI had the opportunity to meet AFF Honesty Foundation in the process of correcting this review. Their professionalism and friendliness in dealing with this messy situation prompted me to write this positive review on their behalf.

Joe was very good, responsive. Fixed foundation in a quick and clean manner. Good crew.

I called Honesty and talked to the owner, Joe Winter. He came out to evaluate the job quickly. He explained what needed to be done and answered all our questions. He told us we only needed to repair the foundation under the additional room in the back of the house. Not only did that save us money, but we were so relieved that the rest of the house was in good shape. He quoted a very reasonable price (better than any of the other companies) and was able to schedule the job on a Saturday convenient to us. The team was prompt and professional, and they completed the job in 1/2 a day. They performed the work, corrected the problem, and then cleaned up after they were done. They had to dig up the rose bushes, but they put them back exactly as they were. We are very happy with the work and highly recommend Joe and his company.

If you need foundation work, look no further. Mr. Winters is exactly what his company name says... HONEST with a healthy side of INTEGRITY! When I called him the first time, he was on the road and turned around and immediately came and did the assessment and gave me a very competitive quote. We were afraid we were going to have to sell a kidney to pay for piers all the way around the house, but fortunately, Mr. Winters told us we only needed one part of the house done and it saved us a LOT! We were so relieved to find that the rest of the house was in good shape. Because we were a smaller job, they did the work on a Saturday. The crew was punctual and professional. When I went outside to check on progress, I took one look at the huge mounds of dirt and landscaping plants that had been removed to install the piers and thought "ohh... my goodness... this is going to be a MESS!", but after they were finished, I went outside and you could barely tell they were ever there, the azaleas were replanted it was immaculate! My only recommendation would be to do a quick walk through with the crew leader before they get started, just to be sure you understand everything planned and if you have any special requests you can relay them then. He takes his work and his reputation very seriously and he was wonderful to work with. My husband and I highly recommend him. We would definitely use his company in the future.

They worked quickly, replaced bushes and plantings they had removed, and cleaned up the jobsite. I am very happy with their work.

I callled Joe on a reference from a friend. We scheduled two assessments and quotes back to back. The first was one of the larger firms who gave an honest assessment to some remediation plumbing work, wait, the decide if we needed to add piers to level the foundation. I was totally buying this pitch because it was conservative, but it included a $375 assessment of the plumbing so that I could call my insurance company to tell them that I a had "verified" leak in the plumbing under the foundation. When I called the insurance company, I found out that I didn't need to have a first inspection on it. They would inspect it anyway. I feel that he was setting me up, knowing that there is a plumbing issue, to pay them for the plumbing repairs, then wait six months. After this time is when the piers come in "if needed" at a cost of $14,000. Joe's assessment was to level the house first, then address plumbing issues. After he explained it, it made much more sense to move the house first, then redo the plumbing instead not visa versa. Joe's quote to do the piers was less than have the cost of the larger firm for the whole project with a recommendation to do only part now and if necessary, the other part later. This second option was less than 1/3 of the price for the original. Joe took the time to explain the process and why thing needed and didn't need to be done. We have a couple of things to sort out before we pull the trigger on starting this, but I assure you that that call will be to Joe.

I highly recommend Joe Winters and his crew of Honesty foundation. Joe was doing work at my daughter's house and I also had Joe give me a quote at my house that I thought had foundations problems. Once he looked at the house inside and out he told me that I didn't have any issues. It was only normal settling. This proves that he truly is honest. The crew was also professional, knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions. They cleaned up nicely and left the property the way that they found it. The original quote was $6,700.00 with several inside and outside piers since the house was imploding. We also knew that unless there was an I beam in the living room the work in that section couldn't be guaranteed. Once the work was started there was an I beam where it needed to be so the scope of the project changed. To do the job correctly additional interior piers were needed. We agreed to do what ever it took to do the job correctly the first time. Since the final cost was several thousand more than the original quote Joe reduced the price so that it wasn't much more than the original quote even though 50% more work was done. I will definitely use Joe in the future if i have foundation issues.

These guys are experts, and they don't quit till the job is done right. At some point in the construction they discovered that at the actual corner in question, the foundation was and had been more or less floating in the dirt. They had to improvise in a major way, including fabricating an I-beam that they installed below ground to join together other support elements. Joe Winter, the owner, came to investigate when they realized they had an unexpected and serious problem to deal with. I was grateful for their determination to fix it, and I offered to let him increase the bid price to compensate for the significant extra time, labor, and materials, which I considered only fair. Joe wouldn't consider asking for or taking more money. He said that getting the job done right was his only concern, and his crew did that. I can't praise this company highly enough.

Joe saw no need to waste money repairing what is minor concrete cracking and not causing any foundation problems. Joe was very professional, punctual, communicative and informative. i will recommend using Honesty Foundation to my friends.

Joe and his crew were both quick and professional. They were even able to work around a problem (not caused by them) and did so without complaint. Completed the entire task in one day which also included having to jackhammer through a patio and patching it afterwards. Joe was honest in his quote and gave me the option of the minimum that needed to be done which others did not provide for me before.

We were getting cracks in the brick walls of our house and our foundation was shifting. They came out and were wonderful. They gave us a good price and didn’t do more than they needed to do. Already, we have seen a big improvement. He was really nice. He brought a big crew over. He answers his phone himself and deals with all of his customers himself. We were very happy in every respect with his service.

Complete experience was wonderful! i contacted Honesty based on a recommendation from a structural enginner I hired off Angies List to assist with assessing the degree of foundation repair required. I called Honesty, left a message that was quickly returned by Joe Winter (owner). We discussed my foundation requirements and traded the foundation assessment from the structural engineer. From the assesment Honesty made a bid that was significantly lower than the bid I received from the cable technology guys (70% lower). I discussed with Joe my need to get work done ASAP as I was attempting to get the house on the market quickly. As it turned out there was a cancellation in their schedule that allowed work to be completed much sooner (I'm sure there were others that could have been slotted in the cancellation slot but believe Honesty gave me first shot as they knew I needed it done soon). Foundation work was done in one day including clean-up. Crew did a great job of restoring the beds and yard, Joe called me to discuss their work and what to expect next. Honesty at no cost fixed a leaky water main connecting to the house and repaired a pane of glass that was cracked in the leveling process. The crew was also very careful not to damage the sprinkler system lines that ran the perimeter of the house. Honesty invoiced me and I was able to pay after a few weeks that gave me time to verify that there were no residual effects from the work and that the sprinkler system was still functional. I would definately recommend Honesty to anyone looking for expert foundation repair, easy to work with ownership. very reasonalble rates, and quality project execution. Thanks Joe and Jody!!
