I hadn't been contacted by the company, so I called and they informed me that they aren't offering that service anymore. The man that answered was apologetic.

Brandon and Xavier provided exceptional service. After arriving on time, Brandon planned and reconfigured our front light circuit to allow us to use one light independently of the others. This will improve security to our front yard. He also installed several GFI outlets in the garage and back deck, reducing the need for us to use extension cords. Additionally, he inspected our main breaker to ensure all connections were tight. All in all, it was a great experience. I will definitely request him by name for future jobs.

We played phone tag a little. But finally made an appointment. Brandon was good about trying to touch base - he also made a point of asking what I needed done and advised me that if he had to go to the store, that would count towards his time. Since he is the professional electrician I wish he would have given me some idea of what he could do in two hours time and unfortunately I did not think to ask. I assumed based on past electricians and feel that my ignorance made me lose some of the value in this deal. On the day of service, Brandon and a worker showed up for our 1:00 appointment. I had three things that needed addressing. #1 - I needed a tamper resistant plug replaced with a regular GFI plug. #2 - I needed a bathroom light checked as it kept burning out the bulbs #3 - I needed to know why a plug in another room was causing the GFI and breaker to continually blow. Brandon stated that his regular cost to replace a GFI outlet was about $120.00 so for $99.00 this was an ok deal. The worker replaced the outlet while Brandon and I discussed the other problems. Brandon tweaked the light in the bathroom and we put in a new bulb, it is now working. Brandon stated the problem was that the light needed to be sealed and he recommended I switch from fluorescent to incandescent since there is no transformer to ruin. On his advice I will look for alternative light bulbs that are moisture resistant. The plug that was causing issues was because we were using a coffee pot and a hair dryer at the same time, which was too much draw for the 15amp circuit breaker. Brandon advised that it was not a fire hazard but that eventually we would wear out the circuit breaker and it would need to be replaced. We should only use one of those appliances at a time. He also gave me some estimates for other work, since I did not have the supplies with me, I could not complete them. I did not receive two hours of labor, but I take ownership in that issue as I was not aware of what could be completed in two hours. In addition, I did not ask if the other employee counted towards the hours so two guys show up for one hour counts as two hours of labor. Brandon is making a living and not a killing. He has no crazy overhead so his prices are affordable for lower middle class. I hope he stays that way... since everyone needs a real electrician in their lives. I will use Brandon again in the future for other projects or advice. I hope he stays honest, we need people like him.

Job went great with no hassles. Technician was very friendly and knowledgeable.

They just came out last week and it took him a while to find out what the problem was. So he is supposed to come back, I think it’s 2 hours of labor something like that and he couldn’t find out what was wrong for like over 3 hours. So he was not going to charge me for that. Once he found out what was wrong then he is going to charge me for that. So, I guess, I’m not really over charge with it, I guess it’s okay. He is going to come back and do some little things that he didn’t have time to do. He is courteous, professional, I cannot say anything bad.

They didn't contact me after I bought the deal. The girl in the office eventually called me and they sat up an appointment. The weather was bad and there was ice on the roads so I had to cancel that appointment. He didn't do a thorough inspection like another company did. He gave me a verbal estimate and didn't send me a written estimate. He didn't give me a breakdown of the work to be done. The price was reasonable for what he did.

We purchased an Angie's List daily deal coupon for 2 hours of electrical labor because one of our guestrooms did not have any overhead light (only lamp lights that were plugged into walls). He showed up on time and the work he did was very good. In addition to installing the ceiling fan, he also moved the light switch on the wall up so that it was 42" from the ground (the previous owner had it a little low). Overall, he did a good job and we are happy with the work. My only complaint is that there was one tool that he needed to properly cut a hole in our ceiling that he didn't have with him (he lent it out to a friend). As a result, it took him a little longer to get the ceiling hole done which pushed him 15 minutes over the 2 hour mark that we prepaid for. So he ended up charging me $25 for the extra 15 min. Other than that, it was fine.

The electrician was late (however he called before he was scheduled to be here and told us he was going to be late). After his arrival we started with the first project which was figuring out why 2 of our electrical outlets weren't working. The one outlet actually was working but had been previously tripped. The other outlet in the kitchen took him awhile to figure out and I was worried that there wouldn't be time for the other project. He figured it out however and got the outlet working. Then he moved to the porch light which he was able to complete to my husband's satisfaction.

Gilbert, the serviceman was unprofessional in both his demeanor and appearance. He totally contradicted the conversation I had with the owner of Switch Electric on the phone about the number of GFCI outlets needed in my mother-in-law's home; we had agreed it would be approximately three, whereas Gilbert was emphatic eight were needed. All at a cost of $120 each! Gilbert was thunderstruck when my mother in law told him she'd consider it, and get back with them, as he was prepared to do not only this work, but replace the entire breaker box stating the breakers were obsolete and unobtainable. She told Gilbert to call me to discuss the things he wanted to replace, but needless to say, I never heard from him. Additionally, I had sent them a building inspector's report which outlined the needed electrical work on the home, and discussed with Switch Elec. the goal of keeping costs down due to my mother in law being retired and on a fixed income, and was only trying to get the minimal things fixed to sell the house. Both my mother in law and I feel Switch Electric tried to take advantage of not only a retiree but a woman to boot, thinking she was an easy mark. Shame on you Gilbert!

Smooth install as they were replacing not doing a new installation of electrical lights/fans. They were finished within the two hour timeframe.

I had used another Angie's provider earlier to try and fix it and they only solved the problem temporarily; and tried to sell me a complicated solution for it. When I saw Switch electric company offering a deal on service, I decided to give them an opportunity to solve the problem. And I am so happy I did. They installed an LED light in the pantry and as a bonus solved a garage light problem as well. (Another unsolved problem that an Angie's list garage specialist had failed to fix). I highly recommend Switch Electric. The best experience that I've had from an Angie's list provider!

The gentleman who came seemed to be knowledgeable and I showed him the Big Deal. He didn't do anything that was included in the Big Deal - except for the breaker box, which I had specifically requested. He said that he wouldn't be doing anything on the list. He had a guy he was training with him too, and that made it worse. He used the coupon to sell the services that they do - I had expected more diagnostic work. He was a little condecending to me, as well.

The installation of the exterior light was good but somehow caused a problem with interior light, the switch that used to work on an interior light doesn't work correctly, the workers acknowledged the problem but did not offer to fix the problem they had caused.

They said they could not install a flood light for the deal and would have to charge me $300 more dollars.

They arrived early and what was suppose to be a two day job was done by the end of the day. Everything looked great and functioned well. I am impressed and will use them again.

They did an outstanding job on both the big deal and on my second interaction with them. I definitely intend to ask them to do some additional work in the bathrooms and the bedroom area. In terms of flexibility, both the times they came on Saturday which was very convenient for me. I didn’t have to take time off from work. They came early and they did the work. They cleaned up and left nothing behind. I was completely thrilled with their work. They did 100 percent of the work both times. They were very professional. They were flexible in terms of time. In fact on the second job I actually had to go to the other stores with them to choose the type of items they were going to install. Then they got the other items. They came back and did the installation for the second job. The first job was very simple. They put in a florescent light fixture into the garage area. They did that in about 10 minutes on a Saturday and I went about my business. The second one took a few more hours but they were flexible, clean and friendly. They are all about customer service. The price was well worth it because they obviously had to work in the ceiling. They had to run the line and place them in different ways. The final effect was just magnificent. It’s going from an old 1980’s hanging lights that only had 60 watt bulbs to now it has 60 watt bulbs but they are only using 9 watts. So they helped move me into the 21st century. There was nothing that I dislike. They bent over backwards. I truly cannot think of anything that I am concerned about. Everything was explained at the beginning of what they were going to do. They told me they were going to cover everything and clean up. They did everything they said they were going to do. I have nothing but just immense gratification as far as recommendation. I think this is an upcoming company or a contractor. I think if they continue with that same work ethic and customer service ethic; they are going to be rated very highly on Angie’s List for good reasons. It was a big deal purchase to install the fluorescent bulbs. The first one was a great bargain. It was very competitive and it was well worth that money. In terms of quality, it was mounted well and cleaned up well. They actually had to replace a switch. The switch was the problem and they took care of that. They left it at 180 percent different and the opposite of what I had. It was magnificent. As soon as I got the big deal I called them. They asked me on what day they could work with me. I told them on Saturday. They came out right on time. They told me they will be here by 8:30. It was 25 after and they were knocking on my door. It was the same with the second job. They told they will come at 11 o’clock and they came 10 minutes before. Their responsiveness was right on target. They were here prior to when we had agreed upon on when they were going to arrive. There were no surprises that they came late or came too early. They were professional and courteous. I have used them a second time and I definitely plan on using them for some upstairs work. I will let them know about it. They are all about customer service and want to make sure that they get the return business and other business as well. It was well worth it.

Very happy with the quality of work and the professionalism show by the electrical. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends.

I talked to Brandon on the phone to schedule the appointment, he was a really nice guy. I called them about four or five times after that and received no response. I have decided to seek a refund with Angie's List.

The workers covered all exposed areas and cleaned the cleared the area of debris and dust residue before departing the area. I look forward to my next project with this outstanding vendor.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out fine.

My interaction with Angie's list members have always been positive. Unfortunately, this was my low point for AL providers. I purchased a Big Deal for a service call and an hour of labor in early December. I requested a work date for one week later. After a week of no response, I called the provider. I did get a returned call telling me they were very busy and wouldn't be able to get my work done before Christmas. I asked to schedule anyway. He told me to call later so he could put in his calendar. I did return the call as well as sent an email message asking for a confirmed date. I never received a return call from my messages. After 5 weeks I finally decided to just ask for a refund from Angie's. My advice for Switch is not to run a promotion if you don't have resources to support. Not smart business management.
