We had a broken, doubl-pane (insulated) window, and South Texas Glass not only got the perfect replacement part, but installed it quickly and without a fuss. Also, they adjusted their schedule to fit mine, just do my window would be fixed promptly.

The cost of the window itself was pricey, but it was because that particular tint had been discontinued. The cost of labor for a downstairs replacement was very reasonable. The technician came out one day, took measurements, and within a week had the new window installed.

I called another company and they said they would not be able to come out for a week. The entire glass was broken, and all that was covering it was some cardboard I had taped over it. Then I called S. Texas glass and they said it was a standard size and they would be able to come out the same afternoon and fix it! They arrived promptly, knocked out the shards of the old glass, replaced it with a new one, replaced the lattice template and cleaned up everything within about an hour. Very professional.....they even told me about a coupon I could print out for $20 off since I was an Angie's list customer, and I had not noticed that before. Very satisfied.......I would use this company again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend

The contractor was easy to reach, went right over the same day to give me an estimate and communicated what would be done and a reasonable price. I paid half to order the glass for the window. Once the window was made and ready to install, I received a call that the contractor would contact my tenant and make arrangements to install the new window. Once the repair was complete, I was called to submit the 2nd half of the full payment. I received a receipt right away via email. All in all, the estimate price was honored, the price was good, the measure, order, and communication throughout went very smoothly and the work was done within a week. The tenant is happy and so am I. A great find thru Angie's List!

I did a bathroom remodel and called around to several glass providers for an estimate. From the beginning South Texas Glass shined above the rest. They were willing to give me a phone estimate and were extremely responsive and friendly. We visited the showroom to further detail the estimate and view their products. In addition to great service, their price was significantly lower than any other competitor. When the project was ready for them to measure, the guys that showed up were very professional and explained everything in great detail. After the product was installed, everything they described in during the measurement was spot on and the product looked AMAZING! These guys provided awesome service, a great price, and a quality product. What more can you ask for?

This is the second time we have used them. We have a house that faces the afternoon Texas sun and after ten years some of the windows are having problems where the spacer between the panes have fallen. On a friend recommendation, I called South Texas. They worked with my busy schedule to come out and measure the window and to install a week later. Both workers were well groomed and professional.

I spoke to them a couple of different times but bottom line, they made a shelf for me with an etched indention for plates and delivered it to me, and put it in my china cabinet safely. Very nice bunch of guys. I'm a senior woman so they knew I couldn't handle the glass for myself so it was very nice of them to deliver and install it for me. I appreciated that kind of local service. Will definitely use them again.

They came out pretty fast. They came on time. They were very courteous and they had the lowest bid.

We had a wonderful business experience with this company. I contacted (3) three different companies for estimates on replacing a shower enclosure. All three asked for the approximate size and asked what we wanted done (contrary to another reviewer, we found this to be a common request, easy to do-they don't need exact measurements- and worthwhile in giving us an idea of what it was going to cost). They all gave ballpark estimates over the phone to be certain that we knew the approximate cost before they visited. Each one did come to the house and gave us a printed estimate. We selected South Texas for a variety of reasons. I did call and speak to one of the owners after reading the reviews and receiving adequate explanations-they are trying to have this updated with Angie's List. The job was installed within 2 weeks of the order. They arrived on time, removed the enclosure, and constructed the new one quickly and cleanly. They were prompt, pleasant, efficient, and very competitively priced. We strongly recommend this company and their work.

We just moved to the area and the windshield molding fell off on one side and started to crack on the other side. After a recommendation from an auto repair shop (from Angie's List), we took the car to South Texas Glass and Jonathan took a look at it since something didn't look right to us. Apparently, when we had the windshield repaired back in NY almost a year ago, the two molding pieces which have several clips on the back to secure into the frame, were broken when removed to install the glass. Instead of replacing the molding clips then, the NY installer just epoxied the molding back on. That might work in the Northeast, but no so much in the Texas heat! After confirming the botched install, we called our insurance company who also confirmed the diagnosis by South Texas Glass. Insurance quoted the repair which was right on the money with the quote from South Texas Glass. We received their quote on Monday and Jon had the parts in the next morning for the 10 am appointment on Tuesday to have the repair completed. It was quick and it looks great!

They replaced the passenger windlshield in my RV because it was cracked. I was waiting in the shop while they did the work. About a week after it was replaced I departed San Antonio for the Pacific Northwest to spend the several months on the road. When I got to Seattle (it rains a lot up there) I noticed that there was a leak in the windshield. I called my insurance company who sent someone out to repair the leak. We continued on our trip without rain for the remainder of the journey. We got home in late July (where it doesn't rain in the summer). In September we had some rain and I again discovered a leak in the windshield. I notified South Texas Glass of the leak and they sent someone out to inspect it. They told me they always do a leak check when they replace a windshield. Since I was waiting when they did the work I never saw them do a leak check. Now they tell me they have no liability for the leak since it has been more than 90 days. Well, I told them it was only about 30 some days before I discovered the leak. They still take no responsibility for my problem. I am now working with the insurance company for a resoliution.

The company did not send out a technician. The Co. stated they have wasted time sending technicians out and have not had customers accepting their quotes. I wonder why? The representative asked me to measure my enclosure; I am not a glass person and only know rough estimates. I did measure the shower, to give the company the benefit of the doubt. The representative returned a quote within a day, but added that the estimate could be plus or minus depending on “real” measurements. If he had chosen to send someone out and give me an actual quote, I would have probably considered the company. The Company estimated the enclosure at $1,900.00
