They had to locate the water line in the yard and separate the interior line from the exterior, they installed new exterior faucets to keep them separate from treated water. For the RO, they were able to install it under the sink and match the color of the new faucet to the existing one. | |Their bid was less than other national brands but I am much happier with their work and the quality of the products. I am happy I was able to choose a local company.

Description of Work: River City was highly recommended - BUT I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM and I will explain why. They were called to install a water softener in my house 16 Jan 2012. As they drove out of our driveway, my daughter noted water approximately 6 inches deep covering our brand new hardwoood floors and soaking several oriental rugs. I immediately called River City - about 30 min later, an employee arrived, stayed about 10 minutes - did not really help sop up the mess, but blamed the plumber for not removing the water softener plug. Note this water softener is the first one installed in my brand new house - the plumber did NOT remove the plug, as the water softener was just installed by River City- the plumber has not been in the house for several months. I was recovering from foot surgery - told to stay off my foot. I spent the next 24 hours with my family trying to get the water sopped up and salvage the expensive hand made oriental rugs. No help was offered from River City which was clearly a problem they created - they forgot to remove the plug for the water softener. Furthermore, I noted water leaking from the line River City installed under my kitchen sink. I called for this to be repaired - a man was out - spent a few minutes here - tightened one section - never tested anything else for leaks, never checked the line, and departed. I called River City back again mid afternoon - and was told no one could even call me until at least the next morning. Meanwhile, I am stuck with sopping up all this water with towels - walking on my foot that is supposed to be elevated, with no support from River City. The line they installed under the sink for drinking water and the line to the fridge both leak. I can not understand why the serviceman that was here 30 January did not test any lines or test all connectors before his departure. River City has left me with soaked hardwood floors and oriental rugs because they failed to remove the plug for the water softener, which was located in the laundry room. My cherry wood kitchen cupbaords are getting destroyed from sitting in water because River City failed to check lines and connections they installed. There is a huge crack in the bottom of the cherry cupbaord under the sink - the house is less than 12 months aged. I am considering asking them to remove the water softener they installed and the reverse osmosis - as it has done nothing but create flooding in my house since they installed it. I had to pay a contractor to come in and replace, repaint and recaulk the shoe molding, as it was destroyed from all the water. I am hoping the hardwood floor is not destroyed - I have been running my dehumidifier to try to get this dried up. The oriental rugs are about dry, but ruined - those are not to get wet. Not to mention the brand new cherry kitchen cupbaords are being ruined from all this water. They were custom made for me and are now ruined.

I chose them, because their price seemed reasonable and they did not install proprietary water softeners. They arrived early to do the install and completed the job quickly and explained how the new system worked. I would recommend them.

Description of Work: I called this company for an estimate for purchase and installation of a water softener. The lady I talked with was very informative and knew a lot about water softeners. I told her my price range but they had nothing I could use. I researched the cost of water softeners online and was fairly confident of the actual cost and the lady pretty much agreed with me. She quoted me a price of around $1500.00 for complete job and stressed their warranty and customer service. I think this company has a good reputation and would not hesitate to use them. The lady would not budge on the price. I called several companies and purchased one, which I believe was the exact one this company sells, for a total of exactly $1000.00. I think that if they we a little more flexible on the price I would have purchased here.

He explained in detail the best way to have the installation done since it had to be plumed and it would take about 5 hrs. I called 2 other companies, one cheaper and one very expensive. Description of Work: The water softener I bought at the Home Show several years ago never seemed to work and the company that makes it sent out a totally clueless person to "fix" it in the past. (there really IS a problem when you have not needed to add salt for a 2 year period but the company representative did not think so). I called Aramendia who evaluated the water softener plumbing section. that was fine and they did not charge me but suggested I call River City Water Treatment Company to evaluate the tank. The water softener was not one that they usually work on, but the tech had no problem figuring out what the difficulty was and correcting it. He said we should start feeling the soapy sensation in about 3 days and he was right on the money. Thanks! The salt had formed some type of a bridge so the water could not flow through to be treated.

Description of Work: Repaired a leak in one of the copper flex pipes connecting the plumbing my water softener by replacing both of the flex lines to the water softener tank.
