Better than expected

We had been told every year that everything had been fine, and no work was needed. At this checkup the Jon Wayne representative said that the entire system was jury-rigged, and dangerous. He explained that the drainage system was poorly done and dangerous. He turned off the gas to the furnace because it was below code and dangerous. He asked who had been maintaining our system and was told that it was his company. We asked why nobody had told us about these problems and he told us "some people don't want to know about these big problems, so we only tell them if they ask." He then said the only way to fix these problems was to install a 25,000 system which he would discount if we signed that day.

They didn't stick with their repair and quoted me for service that I did not need. Their motive operation I believe was to try to sell me an entire new system.

I was very happy with them. They showed up on time to do the job. They came out the morning before to check out the old unit and then called us back and installed the new unit that same afternoon! Everything was installed and the old unit hauled off in one day.

Quoted cost to recharge system 220. I did a year ago with a different company for 115. Also wanted to add accessory starter assist, he said was a must. No other technicians have recommended. Another 250+. Quoted new inside Air Handler unit almost $1000 above previous quotes. Tries to sell a lot of Air quality equipment. Very professional and courteous. I feel price way too high.

1ST DAY WAS 8+ HOURS. COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY TECH SHUT OFF ALL ELECTRIC TO HOUSE & THEN PROCEEDED TO EAT LUNCH; NEXT HIS PARTNER HAD TO GO EAT. 7 DAYS LATER; MULTIPLE EXCUSES; & STILL NO WORKING OR FUNCTIONING EVEN TO OUR OLD 6-YEAR OLD UNIT EQUIPMENT. JUST DEAD ZONES IN OUR HOUSE; LINE-SET RESTRICTIONS THEY CAN'T FIND & ON & ON. 1ST DAY WITH ANOTHER CO. HAD A WORKING UNIT THAT MET CODE COMPLIANCE; DID NOT BURN OUR HANDS TO TOUCH INSIDE THE HOUSE (FIRE HAZARD!) & DISCOVERED JON WAYNE CO. LIED ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE COPPER TUBING THEY SUPPLIED TO OPERATE THEIR EQUIPMENT ALL ALONG - PLUS MUCH OTHER DAMAGE TO OUR HOME INSIDE & OUT! WE HAVE FORMALLY FILED WITH THE LICENSING BOARD & THE BBB. THESE PEOPLE CAUSED HARM AND DAMAGE TO MY FAMILY, MY PETS, AND OUR HOME AND THEN TRICKED US INTO A GET-AWAY-FROM-US-QUICK FIX TO RUN AND HIDE LIKE THE COWARDS THEY ARE!! THEY OWE US FOR THE WORKING UNIT WE HAD & THEY RESOLD & FOR IMPROPER INSTALLATION, PLUS DAMAGE TO OUR HOME & A HUGE UTILITY.

I'm currently paying a monthly fee to have them take care of my AC.

I persisted that I wouldnt make any decisions about major work without the warranty company or my husbands input. At that point, I went inside the house to write a $29 check. When I came back outside, the serviceman ran to tell me to follow him. When we got to the outside air unit, the box above the unit which houses the circuit breaker had been on fire. The man had put out the fire before I arrived. He apologized and said that had never happened to him before and that we were lucky he found this problem. Right! I was stunned and asked what he was going to do about the burned out box, the soot on the house, and the fact that the air now didnt work. His mood changed rapidly and he told me that he didnt do anything to break the box, and that I would be responsible for any repairs. He called his service manager and I spoke with the guy for several minutes. I got the same story from him with several analogies about the homeowners responsibility when things go wrong.

The work was fast and friendly. They did their best to make sure the work was done by my schedule and not their own. Very informative and helpful in every detail.

Jon Wayne Heating & Air Conditioning provided us with the right size air conditioning unit for our home. They went out of their way to make sure that we were pleased with their service as well as the unit that they installed. I feel that the installation was a simple process and they were respectful when they were inside of our home.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED SENT TO FIX THE AIR CONDITIONER. HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND I GREATLY APPRECIATED HIS SERVICES. HE DID A GOOD JOB.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR WORK WAS GREAT. NOT ONLY DID THEY PUT UP THE ENTIRE SYSTEM, THEY ALSO CLEANED ALL THE VENTS SO THE AIR WOULD GO TO EACH ROOM.

THEY WERE HAVING A SALE ON THE DAY THAT I CALLED TO GET SOME PRICES. IT WAS TO MY ADVANTAGE THAT THEY WERE HAVING A GREAT SALE. SINCE THE TIME THEY HAVE INSTALLED IT AND UNTIL NOW I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE LABOR OR UNIT.

THE REPAIR MAN WAS 10 MINUTES LATE. THEY WERE REASONABLY PRICED BUT I BELIEVE THAT THEY DID NOT DO A THOROUGH JOB. THEY DIDN'T SPEND NEARLY ENOUGH TIME ON THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AS I THOUGHT THEY SHOULD HAVE.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAD HIRED THIS COMPANY AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY GAVE ME A DISCOUNTED PRICE SO THAT WAS A PLUS. A GOOD PRICE WITH GREAT SERVICE.
