Jon Wayne Service Company

This was the second time we had called Jon Wayne out for servicing our system. Both times it felt like it was more important for the tech guy to upsell us than to just fix the problem at hand. On the first visit the tech spent at least 20 minutes writing up this long list of options he recommended. Of course he wanted us to buy a whole new system at the top and then worked down to what it would cost to just fix the issue at hand. Our system is fine and is no where near needing to be replaced. When the second visit resulted in the same upsell result, we decided that Jon Wayne was more interested in selling us more than what we needed than just fixing the problem at hand. We have since found another company listed on Angie's List that was very trustworthy and much more affordable.

The job took three days. Removing sheet metal ducts took a day. Then they had to cut in new outlets as the old ones were not efficient. They were very professional and cleaned up at the end of each day.

Jason & Rudy were here - both very helpful. Jason explained to me how to light the pilot for my fireplace - he did not have to do that.

I have you all rescheduled 3 times!

All staff were professional, polite and on time. Provided thorough explanations and answered all questions.

I didn?t use them because they were way too expensive; they were almost double what everybody else was. They were great and real professional. They were here early when they were supposed to be. It would have been great if we could have afforded them, but we couldn?t.

This time 2 plumbers showed up early as opposed to last year.

Great! Like that I received a reminder call. It makes it easier.

It is going very well overall. Their product is excellent. They call Spring and Fall for a time to maintain the system. They are prompt, courteous, and thorough.

They did fabulous work! John Wayne showed up within a reasonable time after our phone call. The service team showed up with the units about 1/2 an hour after we signed the paper work. They worked nonstop until the work was done. The team was very courteous! It was a great job done all around.

Very professional, punctual, courtesy call day before and 1 hour away. Clean and thorough. Office folks are also very nice. We are gold members. Pay low monthly membership and checkups are free.

I have mixed feelings about my experience with them. They told me that everything was okay but that I needed a bigger air conditioner so I think they may have been more interested in selling me equipment. I think they were telling the truth but they also weren?t looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the system I already have. They were prompt, courteous, and professional, but I got bad vibes from them so I probably won?t use them again. 01/17/2010 I called AHS and got a GREAT technician from Locke Services. He identified two incorrectly connected wires which not only kept the heat pump from working, but sent hot current where it didn't belong. In less than 40 minutes, only only having to replace the burned wire connector and a fuse, he fixed the problem and it has perfectly for a month now. Next time, I definitely will NOT cal Jon Wayne, I'll call Locke Services.

Unfortunately the problem I had with my AC (not cooling) could not be duplicated - it worked fine once the repairman showed up. The technician checked out the system and could find nothing wrong.

They arrived on time, were very curteous and professional. They had 3 crews and 3 trucks at our home; 1 to do the duct work, another to remove the old inside heating unit and install the new one, and another to remove the old a/c unit and install the new one. They did all the work as described in estimate. They kept our home clean during the installation by wearing booties and vaccuuming as they went along. They finished on time and our new system works great!

Repairman showed up tp service the unit, but kept telling us the unit needed to be replaced. We asked him to provide a written estimate of what a new unit would cost and he refused. He stated it was the company policy to not leave written quotes or information regarding the new unit with the customer. He was very defensive when asked about this policy. We did not agree to purchase a new unit just based on his verbal quote. He also pointed to a patch on his shirt sleeve and said"you see this?. I had go through a very difficult class to get this patch". We found the whole experience unconfortable and have discontinued the monthly service program. We would not recommend Jon Wayne to anyone. All they want to do is sell you a new system.

They were very professional and made sure to show everything before they left. They were very informative and were willing to answer all of my questions. When we called to set up the appointment we had to wait two days for them to come out and I thought that was a little bit long to go without air conditioning. They gave me a window of time when they would be out and they did show up between the window, however I do not like that I have to waste half of my day waiting for them. They came in and did a good job. Everything has worked out okay since.

They have excellent service. They are great people.

The whole process was precise and enjoyable. My home has never been more comfortable. The attention to detail was amazing. The salesman who came to my house was a young man, Mr. Rackler. He did something the other guys I called out failed to do. He explained to me that we need to perform an engineering analysis on my home to determine the proper capacity and efficiency. Turns out everyone else who came out to give me a bid just tried to sell me a bigger unit and close the deal on the first day we met. Mr. Rackler did a site survey and discussed all of my needs, then returned to show me the solutions and then returned again to make sure I has 100% satisfied with the work. This is true professionalism and not the norm for contractors. I couldn't be happier.
