I had contacted Jon Wayne on several occasions regarding loud noise from vents in master bedroom. This happened in the early morning hours, a loud thud coming from vents. It woke me up with a start each time causing a lot of sleepless nights. They sent someone out when I called, but it was like going to the dentist the pain stops. The sound would not occur. I even did as asked my tech to record. I did but somehow it was erased. On Oct. 8, Dustin came out, just as he arrived sound occurred in bedroom. He tested my ac unit out, everything in perfect working order. He recorded sound of relay switch asked if that was sound said not really,my hear sank, not much could be done, he was going to call company to try to see if something could be done. But then I said if that were the case it would happen all the time. Just as he was packing up low and behold he heard the sound. He immediately knew what it was and how to fix. It was the small return vent filter in my bedroom. The suction from ac unit caused filter to rise and fall. He fixed with several small screws to hold filter in place. Last night was the best night sleep in a long time. Thanks to Dustin. My thanks to Alex for each trip he made, just did not get to hear noise. These men as very courteous and professional and so happy I found them on Angie's List. Once again thanks Dustin. The Technician (Randy) showed up on time and did a thorough job of inspecting my air/heating unit. I knew there should be no issues because I take good care of my home and Randy verified that everything was in good working order. We went over an upgrade option for a UV light on my unit, but he did not pressure me into making a decision right away. He left me with the basic information and said that I could call the office for a detailed quote. I've had a service contract with Jon Wayne for a couple of years now and they've been very good to work with. As a matter of fact, I'm having them come out this week to give me a quote on replacing my water softener.

Was on time. Did a good job. Satisfied with work. Left things clean

It was okay like I got what I paid for, but probably should have paid for little bit more. There were additional charges because it turned out that I have three air conditioners and I thought it was all in fitted in one, but I had to pay the deal for each inspection so I bought two additional ones. I would not use them again.

Replacement A/C to high. Service rep was friendly.

My A/C went out this year. I called 5 A/C companies to submit bids. Jon Wayne was the last one to come. Because this spring was mild (by SA standards) and I had a couple of window units, I wasn't desperate yet but knew I would be shortly. The first 4 had already provided estimates and the low bid (with a 10 year service contract) came in at ~$7200. Although Jon Wayne didn't know what the companies had quoted, I told them that I'd already received several quotes. Despite this, Jon Wayne estimated $11,000. I told them that they were the highest and I wouldn't be using them. They asked to see the quotes. Since I had already told them I wouldn't be using them, I didn't see any harm. The bids ranged from ~$7200-9000 putting them way out of range. After they reviewed the bids, they called the "office" and quickly said they could do it for $6900 with a 10 year service contract. I was shocked. I only allowed them to see the quotes as a learning tool. I thought they might be over-quoting many jobs and needed to figure out why they were so much higher than others. I know if I were in a business, I'd want to know. Despite this greatly improved offer, I told them I felt that they were taking advantage of the situation and told them my decision stood. I had no idea what sort of service or equipment I would be getting and it seemed very unfair to allow them to see the quotes when no one else had. And in general, I felt they had violated an ethical standard. My A/C was replaced by another company who has done a good job for me in the past. I can't say that the other companies wouldn't have provided equally good service but I truly believe that I did the right thing.

I had them come out and they were here for over an hour. They asked me for two batteries, they installed them, and then he left. I still couldn't monitor the AC the next morning, so I had to unplug it from the outside. I asked them a couple of questions, because I knew this was an older unit, and they told me that I would eventually need a new one and left it at that. They were professional and they called to let me know when the service guy was coming. They also put on little footies before coming into my home and I appreciated that.

They have been great and I haven't had any problems with them. They've just been really nice. They charged me more than the other company, but they also did a lot more. They first had to take out the old unit and fix a lot of stuff that the other company messed up. They made the area where they installed the new unit bigger, which the other people should've done when they installed it. They also redid all the duct work and put insulation in which the other one didn't even look at. They included a maintenance thing for a year or two years. They've been really good. They came out numerous times just trying to help me figure out what to do about it because there was so much stuff wrong.

They were very efficient and on time. Included salt for later use and explained usage in detail. Was so impressed with the company, I ordered a new garbage disposal to be installed the next week. They arranged for the water softener to be paid over 25 months with no interest. I plan to use the company again if necessary.

They are very professional, and they come when they say they are going to come. They always want to please their customers, and we are very happy with them I would recommend them to others.

Asked me if I had a hair pin and fixed the problem with it. He didn't charge me for anything.

The work done for me by Jon Wayne Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd turned out really well. My utility bills are down. My house is extremely cool and it's very comfortable.

My experience with Jon Wayne Heating & Air Conditioning was the worst I've ever had with a repair service company. The two repairmen that came to my home spent 1 1/2 hours on what should have been a 20 minute repair. The majority of that time was spent looking at everything that wasn't wrong instead of replacing the condenser I had called about. I should say that when I placed the service call I told the operator what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. I asked for a quote and was told they could not give me a quote without inspecting my unit. The two repairmen arrived in a timely manner and immediately went to inspecting the interior of my a/c heating unit, and then my attic, before going outside to actually look at the problem - the condenser in the heat pump. After over a hour I was subjected to the "upsale." I was told they could refurbish my unit for $4400.00, and replace my attic insulation for $10,000.. I didn't ask for this inspection, didn't ask for a refurbishing, didn't ask for anything but to have my condenser replaced. They then replaced the condenser in about 10 minutes and charged me $310.00 I have had this part replaced before for under $100.00 including part, labor, and service call. When I complained to Jon Wayne Heating & Air Conditioning about the price I was told this was correct and that I had nothing to complain about. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They responded to the BBB with one lie after another. I was so shocked at this unprofessional and reprehensible behavior I let it go and chalked it up to a bad experience. Beware of this company! I just joined Angie's List which is the reason for this late post. My a/c-heater has worked perfectly for the last year and a half without the $14,400.00 refurbishing I was told I needed. I see others give this company a high grade so I'm glad I seem to be the only one who was taken advantage of.

gave me three or four levels of estimates ranging from $4000 to $400. paid the service fee and sent them on their way. the service men seemed to me like car salesmen, wanting to sell you the highest level of services and decreasing till you accepted one. i called in my regular a/c guys and prices were half as much.

They did good work. Got the job done, and it was reasonable. I have no complaints. I would recommend them to other people. The repairs were done correctly, and they got the job done fast.

I used them before, they were pretty good. They were prompt. The only one thing they didn't, they said there were some things that needed to be fixed like additional things that you pay, and I never got follow up on that but they took care of the problem I had at that time.

I was a little disappointed in it. It seemed to me like the main thing they were trying to do is sell air conditioning services to me. I was kind of expecting something of value. I was under the impression and maybe I just misread it, but what they were going to do was an energy assessment on the house. I thought they were going to do something like using some instrument with sensing equipment to determine the heat loss and that type of stuff. And that didn't happen. But what they did do was they were able to give me an assessment of the asphalt through my duct work and so forth. And that was useful. So I am not totally disappointed, but I guess it felt more like they were trying to sell some other services than just provide this thing that I've asked for. I haven't done anything with them on anything else at this point. They were timely and all that. I don't have a problem with any of that. Maybe I just didn't understand quite exactly what they were going to do, although what they did, I understand it was worth the $99.

the installer's showed up on time, around 9am. they disscused what they were going to do and how, they showed me the parts still in the boxes to inspect for damage which there were none. One tech (Jesse) worked the air handler in the garage closet and the other tech (David) worked the compressor unit. Jesse even helped me move some items out of the way that were to heavy for the wife and me to move. I returned the favor during clean-up and loading the truck. They both were extremely professional, courteous, with excellent work ethics. All the lines, hoses, electrical wires, etc were routed, clamped and in the correct place for connecting to the other end of the system; no re-routing, no ugly clamping, nothing out of place. David even adjusted the elevation of the earth next to the existing drain line outside to insure proper fucntion, just didn't throw on a piece of PVC piping and say" there ya go, it should drain ok". Once the system was complete, Jesse walked me through the new wall controller. The small debris that was generated inside the house next to the return vent was kept to a small pile, and once cleaned, you couldn't tell there was dirt/dust bunnies even there ! ! ! Everything on the work order matched to a tee with what Matt had proposed on his work order that previous Monday. Total cost was about 20% more than company "A", this increase in cost was reciprocated back into the system by the warranty and the workmanship. Extremely pleased with the entire job from day one ! !
