Dryer Vent Wizard of North San Antonio

Johnnie arrived on time and professionally performed the work of cleaning my dryer vent. The dryer vent is long and angled up between floors of a 2 story house. He expertly did the task taking pictures along the way to show before and after progress. The worksite was perfectly cleaned afterwards and I was well pleased with everything.

The franchise owner, Johnny Cochran, and Cody replaced my vent hose, which is not allowed by the current code, with a much heavier one and replaced the exhaust cover outside with a more efficient one.

We recently moved into a new home and our dryer was taking too long to dry. We found Dryer Vent Wizard on Angie's List and couldn't be more pleased. Johnny came out and went over everything they were going to do to test the vent. He followed it up with images of the vent explained how the cleaning process would happen. Having never had a dryer vent that wasn't directly vented out to a back wall, this was a new experience. They did a great job and our dryer is working like new. Very pleased with our choice.

Johnny Cowan was punctual, professional, friendly and very competent. A bird had built a nest in the outside vent and lint had backed all the way to the dryer. He explained the problem and showed us photos of the vent. He worked outside (in the heat) and inside at the dryer to clean it out. It was a big job and took him 4 hours. He cleaned up the area when he was done. The dryer works much better now. We are very pleased with the results of his work and would gladly recommend him to others.

I got a new a dryer in December and it didn't seem to be dryer my clothes as it should. The issue kept getting worse so Johnny came out to look at it. He met with my husband and discovered our dryer vent was almost 100% blocked! It was a huge fire hazard. Johnny showed my husband the issue and talked him through how he was going to fix it. He installed a new hose and vent. He was polite, courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend him and use him again in the future.

The did a fantastic job. We had just purchased the house "older home" and also a new washer and dryer and were wondering why the dryer was not working efficiently, Plenty of heat just taking too long. So we thought it was the dryer vent and it was, There was water in the hose leading to the wall from the dryer. The vent at the roof was totally clogged. Everything was cleaned out and the hose was replaced to a better quality one. Dryer works like the new dryer that it is now. Highly recommend them.

Johnny has a pleasing personality and was innovative in improving air flow in the roof vent. Great job! Definitely recommend.

The service was excellent as Johnny discovered a huge problem (cracked tube) that we didn't even know we had and then fixed it accordingly with an even better material. Additionally, he went above and beyond for me by giving me a couple of hours to paint the wall behind my washer & dryer (while it was moved out for the vent cleaning), and then he returned (at no charge!) to move them back in place. They are extremely large and heavy and he had tools to assist in moving them, which I did not have. He's very knowledgeable and courteous. I'd highly recommend...

Johnny did a great job. He knows what he's doing and has all the right tools to get this very specific work done. He vastly improved the drying time of our dryer. His sensor gauge showed a 60% jump in effieciency in the dryer and our subsequent laundry work proved this out. Johnny is not only an expert in this business but he is very personable and trustworthy. You can't go wrong going with him.

Johnny Cowan did a great job replacing my dryer vent in an attic that is difficult to work in. He was knowledgeable, thorough and explained everything clearly.

Johnny Cowan (company owner) arrived and talked with me about my 20-year old Whirlpool dryer. He asked about cleaning the dryer vent. I admitted never having cleaned the vent, and in fact, didn't know where the vent was. Johnny pulled the dryer away from the laundry room wall without being able to ascertain where the vent exited the house. He walked the property, finally found that the vent was up in the attic. Once in the attic, he found that the vent was not connected to anything. There were lots of vent tubing pieces, but no actual connection. By the time Johnny checked everything out in the attic, (which is no small feat), explained everything to my husband and me, it was evening. He promised to return the next day and finish the venting . Johnny was back the following day. The work actually performed by Johnny included installing a new dryer vent assembly by cutting through the laundry room wall to the exterior of our house. He repaired the opening properly. He removed all the pieces of venting from the attic, vented the dryer properly (the vent is now reachable in our small courtyard), and connected the new vent to our dryer. He double checked that the dryer is working perfectly. This man is a blessing to anyone who needs dryer service. He is pleasant, always his a smile on his face, and really knows how to take care of dryers. I will never use anyone else for my dryer. He's an expert, trustworthy, and stands behind his word. I recommend him highly.

Johnny responded within a couple of hours and had the cover replaced in less than 24hrs. Great job and response time.

I consider it my lucky day when I called Dryer Vent Wizard. Not only did Mr. Cowan clean out the vent, but he replaced the exterior flap and replaced my washer hoses, and did it for a very reasonable price. He was prompt, polite and eager to please.

Mr Cowen climbed up the roof and did an awesome inspection, found the mis-labeled vent and also did attic work in addition to laundry room. Spent time explaining what he thought needed to be done, did the job professionally and cleaned up the floor after the work was completed. Neat as a pin (he said just like his grandma taught him). My experience with Mr. Cowan was easily the best experience I have ever had with a home maintenance problem. He was punctual, honest, and got the job done! He is a straight arrow and goes the extra mile. Most people could and have taken advantage of my ignorance with home repairs, but that didnt happen here. Really happy with his service.

Johnny arrived at the agreed time, he was friendly, neatly dressed and ready to work. I appreciated the information he shared regarding air flow, exhaust blockage and pictures of lint in pipe. Our dryer vents through outer wall and exits the roof. Johnny was thorough and after cleaning the airflow had increased significantly. Drying now takes less time.
