Michael was very professional and suggested lots of ideas to enhance the architectural detail of our new home. He was very patient with us in selecting the colors. He provided many color samples as well as ideas and suggestions. All of the colors that we eventually chose we are very pleased with. He went above and beyond in deciding the colors for our daughter's room. He was invested in our little girl being happy and that was very refreshing! She loves her new big girl room.

Mike and his team did an amazing job on my fence. My fence is about 2yrs old and I had it cleaned and stained by black pearl.

I had used this company previously to do the staining of my deck and then I remembered that they also do painting. The owner was very responsive and came out almost immediately to take a look to see what needed to be done. He gave me a very competitive quote and worked within my timeline to get it done as I needed. He was here every day checking on his crew and even working beside them. His crew were fantastic, very polite and made sure they cleaned up everything every single night, even though I told them they could leave their stuff out as we have no little kids. The walls, ceilings, doors and trim look fantastic. I highly recommend Mike and his crew for any painting/staining needs.

The fence looked very nice when he was done. I definitely got my money’s worth on this big deal. Getting the work set up went very well. They were prompt and thorough with every aspect about the job. They accomplished everything I needed done within the deal in a professional manner. I was very satisfied with their work.

The service was fantastic. They would have provided us the advertised online deal for the fence staining alone, but we wanted the additional work, and the back porch and gate construction were priced for us individually. Mike was very responsive and easy to reach, and the final product was beautiful. The price was reasonable and worth every penny. We'd happily recommend this business to our friends and neighbors.

They were great. It sure beat me from having to do it. I did have to pay extra; the footage of the fence was more than what was covered in the big deal. They were punctual but I never met the guy. I left directions on how to access the yard. Everything was put back where it was supposed to be. I value that I can trust people who come and do the work and I do not have to be there. Then he called me to give me a refund on some things. I would use them again.

These guys were great! They came on time, were very nice and professional. They did a great job and didn't damage any of my plantings along the fence line, which are many. I definitely would hire them again, they really do quality work.

MIke and his team were great! The whole project was completed in one day while I was at work. Very please. Price was reasonable, work was great, and Mike and his team were very friendly. Will definitely be keeping them on my short-list for fencing!

It was okay. I don’t know if I would have them come back again. They quality of the job wasn't that great, and we had to have someone else come out and fix it.

Mike and his crew did a great job, despite a few rain delays. In a city that hardly ever sees rain, it just had to rain when my house painting was scheduled. When it wasn't raining (or Cinco de Mayo), Mike and the crew showed up by 9 a.m. each day and got right to work. They worked into the evenings to make sure everything got done in four days. Mike wasn't always there, but he did stop by each day that the crew was there, and Mike did the majority of the interior paint repair himself. Mike had been out a couple months earlier to give me an estimate and was nice enough to come back to give me a revised estimate of $4000 once I let him know I was using his company for sure, but had changes to make to what I originally wanted done. They cleaned the entire outside of my house, plus the driveway (bonus) prior to painting. After waiting a day for the house to dry out, they started with repairing all the cracks around the house, and there were a LOT. While the caulk was setting, Mike got to work on the cracks and minor repairs to the paint inside. After the inside painting was done, I wasn't happy with how the ceilings looked in a couple rooms because the paint didn't quite match where it had been repaired. Mike and I discussed it and the end result was that my entire downstairs ceiling was painted, as well as the ceiling in the master bedroom - all for just an additional $400 which I thought was a good deal. The entire outside of the house & trim was all painted and looks brand new. In addition, my back deck was sanded down and stained. The small portion of the fence next to the house was stained, and they fixed an issue with my gate to prevent it from scraping the ground. I was getting my house ready to put on the market and I'm sure Mike will be glad to hear that I got an acceptable offer in just 12 days on the market and I think the fresh paint had a lot to do with it. Excellent crew. The owner even gave another young contractor who was (coincidentally) working on our deck tips on staining and cleaning the deck!

The owner, Michael, is a professional, knowledgeable businessman who is intent on listening carefully to what the client needs and providing the best possible services and products for them. He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and was easy to explain to what I needed done. He asked questions, made suggestions, and seemed determined to be sure he knew what I wanted done. His workers and he arrived to do the job and they worked tirelessly to accomplish what could be done between the rain days we were having. The power washing made the place sparkle . On the second day of work, they transformed a heavily soiled fence and ugly deck into a work of art. They were meticulous and cleaned up the areas after the job was done. They were on time. He did the entire fence and I have quite a bit of it. They did an excellent job, you couldn't ask for anything better. It was a thousand percent increase in how it looked.

Mike responded promptly to bid on my work. He gave me a bid on the spot. He went over all the work and set a work date. We had some weather delays but Mike talked to me every day to stay on top of the job. His workers were very professional and cleaned up each day. They were proud of their work and so was I. My deck looks great! I would hire Black Pearl again for any staining or painting I needed done.

The fence had an older and a newer section. When he finished, both sections looked similar.

Mike is a true professional, in his repsonsiveness, his character and his trustworthiness. He stained my deck once, came back to look it over and decided he needed to apply a second stain without charge.
