Found Belden's Automotive three years ago and had my truck serviced there 6 times. Upon my first service, I recall the cashier/clerk that took my keys telling me the diagnostic fee gets waived if I get the recommended services performed. Thought that was great. So, every time I took my vehicle thereafter, they would look at it, call me with an estimate, and I would approve it over the phone thinking I was only paying for parts and labor, thus getting the diagnostic waived. Upon my last service in June, I took my vehicle in because the engine seemed to be idling rough. The rep from the garage called me back and told me it needed new sparks plugs and wires for something around $389. I said ok, then asked how much more to change out the fuel filter, he placed me on hold and came back and recommended to change the fuel filter a fuel induction service? for a total of about $700. I said ok and approved it. They called me to pick up the truck and while I was paying, I asked about the fuel filter and the guy tells me my Silverado doesn't have a fuel filter. I asked if they didn't replace the fuel filter then why is it still $700. Was the fuel induction $300?! He then said difference was for the BG fuel induction throttle body cleaner and the diagnostic fee. I thought to myself a phone call would have been nice to advise there was no fuel filter before they proceeded. I stated I've never been charged the diagnostic if I got the work done. He said they always charge it. Then the gentlemen next to him stepped in and stated they would waive the fee since I had been a long-time customer. I told him I appreciated that, and they knocked off $125. I went home and went through my invoices to discover I was always charged a diagnostic fee every time I got services performed. I then thought maybe I was mistaken from the start and figured, "ok, now I know they charge a fee to look at it." A month later my daughter has problem with her AC blower fan I told her to take it to Belden's. They quoted her $1,000 to replace the blower fan and front brakes. She declines and I take her the next day to pick up her 4runner. She goes inside and comes back out stating they want to charge her a diagnostic fee of $62, of course I said, "well then pay it!" She refused because she claimed when she called to get the estimate, a Tony advised to bring it over and they would look at it for NO CHARGE. I said, "well did you tell them that the guy on the phone said it was no charge" and she stated she spoke to Tony inside and he repeated twice "I never said that" turned around and walked away. She was upset, I told just pay them and tell them they lost two customers and will never come back. As I was waiting for her to come out, somebody comes out to move her SUV and gets in the driver’s seat. I go to investigate why he's moving the SUV if we are leaving and I open her passenger door to find the glove compartment, blower fan and screws on the floor! They didn't put it back together! It was already 0930 am the next day and she had declined service the previous day around 05-0530 pm, I figured the parts should have put back in yesterday or this morning when it opened. Granted the guy said they could put it back together in 15 min, I said never mind, I would do it as we had to leave. Leaving frustrated, I went over with my daughter happened, and she added the guy at the desk(Alex?) that initially rung her up apologized about the miscommunication, said he didn't know she was advised about the no charge, and stated they DO NOT charge the diagnostic fee if with the work gets completed. That's when I knew I was not mistaken as they had told be the same thing initially in the past. After gathering my thoughts, I called a number I believed to be the main office asking to speak to Jason Belden and ended up speaking to a Tiffany who listened and was apologetic, but nobody ever called me or my daughter back to discuss the issue. I thought I had finally found an honest garage, but you need to get everything in writing or really watch these guys and get a witness as to what they tell you. I do not recommend this place and will tell everybody I know to avoid them due to their dishonest practices. Out of six invoices, they only waived the diagnostic fee once as I brought my truck back in 30 days to address an issue with the transmission line leaking which they stated was a different problem even though they worked on the transmission a month prior.

Told me brakes needed fixing, master cylinder needed replaced, clutch was going out. Told them to keep old parts so I could verify if all these services needed to be done. Total bill was in excess of 10,000. Declined on a number of them, since I know most of what they recommended did not need to be replaced. They DID NOT KEEP old parts for me to verify the work needed to be done. Extremely dissatisfied about their service.

"The vehicle repaired is a 1976 Triumph TR6, there are dozen or less of these vehicles remaining in the continental United States. The parts had to be ordered from a single company that sells parts for these vehicles and they came from Kansas and some parts had to come from Europe, so the delay was longer than normal. We will admit fault in not keeping the parts once they were replaced, there was a lack of communication within our management team and the parts were not kept and we are very apologetic for this. This is not how we normally run our business and simply a mistake on our part. Since this posting, Mr. [Member Name Removed] has come back into our shop. I had a chance to personally speak to him at length and again apologized for his dissatisfaction. As a courtesy, we performed an adjustment to the vehicles ignition system that was not part of the original repair at no additional cost to him. At the time of his leaving, he was happy. He realized we did make a mistake, but was willing to update his postings. He has not done that. Belden's Automotive & Tires will stand by our original work, and if there is ever anything else we can do to help, please feel free to contact me directly. We go there all the time for all kinds of different things. They are very, very good. It was about $20 because they were working on a tire that was under warranty. We used them whenever we can for non-warranty work.

Took the car in for rer sway-bar bushings.  Was told I also needed everything else on mh suspension -- front and back.  We agreed to the work.  Within two weeks of getting the car back, the sway bar bushings cracked because they used insufficient parts.  Replacing those, they broke the rear height sensor for the air bags, causing my car to low ride.  Mechanic welded the piece, instead of replacing it as I requested.  Still under warranty, took car in for popping noise.  Found out they never replaced control-arm bushings, though they initially charged me for it.  The sales rep admitted they never replaced what I paid for, and told me he saved me on labor ... more like gave me headaches!  Once that was finally taken care of, a year later, I received the car -- then with a power steering leak coming from the pump and rack and pinion.  Then they wanted to charge me for fixing leaks I did not have before returning the car for repairs.One representative in particular had a very demeaning attitude, trying to make me feel I inconvenienced them because I had to keep bringing the car in for repairs that were directly due to THEIR BAD SERVICE.  I wouldn't trust them to clean my windshield!

Terrific! I called a week in advance, reviewed the services with Robert, and made an appointment. Dropped car off when they opened (7:30am) for the appointment, and had the car back a little after 6:00pm. Antoine managed the service, and checked in with me late morning with an estimate (below what I thought it might be). Very friendly and professional front-office staff--made me feel like a member of the family. Drove the Jeep to Houston and back, and it purred like a kitten. I can't think of a reason that I would go anywhere else for these types of services.

Took care in for annual check up prior to an extended Christmas driving trip. Recommended work was extensive and cost +$1000. Couple of days after work was completed the Check Engine Light came on and I had to return the vehicle for additional diagnosis. Took much longer to get the car back the second time and repairs were another several hundred dollars and car still doesn't run as well as I think it should after fixing/replacing everything they did.

Third visit, wrong part sent by auto manufacturer (Volvo), & told needed part cost $500. Was specific that had I been told at the beginning of the domino parts & costs, that I would not have begun the process & lived without the intermittent speed. After much discussion, the manager & owner agreed to refund my money & assured me that they wanted to be there in the future if I needed that or any other work done & would work with me to make sure I was comfortable with the service & costs. Very fair & accommodating.

The oil change was routine, but where they really helped me was with used car inspections. I had them inspect 3 cars before I found the right one, and on more than one occasion they showed me what to look for to find a great car when the one they had just inspected didn't pan out. I am incredibly happy with the car they reccommended and would used them again for this purpose in a heartbeat. The used car inspection cost me about 90 bucks.
