Diligent and thorough

They charge you 99 for just coming and ?clean? you vents and then charge you 800 because of the number of returns. They didnt clean them well, they had to come back and re-do some again, but before they did i had to argue with the technician over the phone - he even said, are you going to cover my gas. What a joke. Dont hire them

Would have hired them to continue working on the outside of the chimney but their quote was $2000 more than the company that I hired. Their work was excellent.

Dan did a great job

They were horrible. He tried to sell a remote start for a system that wasnt broken. He said my igniter was broken but he couldnt troublshoot it. He wanted to sell me a $600 remote and I found out there was nothing wrong with the remote or the switch. I called another company and they got my fireplace to start. by just lighting the pilot and turning the switch on.

Professional efficient

It is a very good company. They came in and did what I wanted done. Did not try and sell me anything else. The guys were polite, knowledgeable and it was a very good experience. I will definitely recommend to anyone and definitely use them again .

I posted interest on angie and received a call from then within 10 min. They offered a good price for basic ac cleaning and were at my house an hour later. I recommend their services.

On time and did the service required

After the winter in 2022 cleaning out the fireplace noticed that there is a crack forming in the stone plates. I came across United Home services and informed them that I was interested in getting an estimate for the replacement of the stone panels. I also needed a cleaning and inspection performed. I scheduled service in October. The technician was on time and performed the cleaning and the inspection. Once completed, I inquired about the inspection and for the estimate for the stone plates. The technician tells me that the panels are custom and they would have to schedule a measurement to be exact. The replacement could be around 1500 dollars. I told him that we would have to save up for something like that, and he tells me that he could patch the crack and explains what he was offering. I ask how long should that last and I am told 4-5 years for a couple hundred dollars. So I agree and allow him to perform the service with the understanding that it should last for a few years so I could save for the replacement. We had a few fires during the fall without any concern. In February we had the week long hard freeze we used the fireplace everyday to heat the house. Cleaning out the fireplace after I noticed that the crack was starting to form or that the filler is falling out. 2/9 I call United to let them know and I am told that there would not be a warranty on a repair like that by the secretary. I ask to speak with the manager and he was not in that she would give him the message. 2/27 He gives me a call and I am busy and could not answer he gives me his contact info. I call back several times over the next couple weeks trying to talk to the manager. 3/16 I talk with the manager Mike. I am again told that there is no warranty for that type repair. That they do not perform anything like that anymore. I tell Mike what his technician told me and that the patch would last 4-5 years. Again told that they do not perform that repair anymore, it is on my paperwork, and they cannot warranty a repair like that. Irritated at this point I explain my position that I have paid $487 dollars to have a cleaning and inspection. I asked for an estimate to have the plates replaced and I got a guess because they would have to be measured. I am out several hundred dollars because his technician performed a repair that they are not going to stand behind. I could have gone on amazon and gotten the filler for around 20 bucks and had the same results. Mike tells me that he would talk to his partner and call me back by the end of day. At this point I feel cheated. I trusted United Home Services to provide a service and they failed. They are not standing behind there work. Never getting an estimate for the original reason I called. Mike has yet to call me back to make me even feel the slightest bit valued. I am not happy with the service that I received nor the way I have been disregarded as a customer. Do yourself a favor and research another company before calling United Home Services.

They called me right away. I was able to make an appointment for the next day. The customer service and service representatives were professional, timely and did a great job.

They charged us $1300 for 7 vents I told them to send me a reasonable bill and I would pay it. When I was checking prices at other places, it does not come anywhere near that. A house with 20 vents would start to get in the $1000s range.

The technician was not very knowledgeable, I rechecked the same issue with another Vendor and got it done with much lower price. I would not hire them again.

Get cost up-front. A 20 minute visit to eventualy replace the pilot valve on my girl friends gas log fire and install (connect 2 wires) basic infra-red remote (on-line cost for actual same model remote= $56.00 averaged between 5 sellers) cost way beyond an acceptable price. The guy presented me with a computer generated bill in excess of $900.00 dollars and didn't itemize the bill either. As it was a birthday gift and as she was present during the "fix", I couldn't very well ar gue right then and there. After making my thought known to the office I did manage to get the bill reduced by about $200.00 but will NEVER utilize this company again for whatever purpose. Beware folks

As a new homeowner, I figured I?d take precautions and hire out a gas fireplace cleaning/service before lighting the fireplace. United stepped up with an $89 special. Booked them. They came out today, said I didn?t have a safe situation and gave me a $3199 estimate on a new remote system and then still charged me $90 for no services rendered. Tom, United Tech was def friendly but I was a little taken back. Probably will take my business elsewhere tho.

He cleaned properly however I did not like the fact he had shoes on in my home especially since it was raining.

They were extremely timely, professional and knowledgeable.

The technician came out to clean the dryer duct vent line. He ran the brush into the inside of the back of our brand new $1k dryer causing a blower fan to break. The dryer is still not fixed properly and we called to speak with a UHS supervisor no less than 4 times. Its been almost a week and still no word from a supervisor. This company is not trust worthy and does not back their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

They were very responsive to my requests and completed the job within 48 hours of submitting.

My husband and I were very pleased with the service , knowledge about our chimney and the advice they gave us.
