Very professional, they protected the area around my fireplace while they worked, removed all the waste, and made sure the area was clean and restored before they left.

Inspected then ran the rods to the top of the chimney and swirled them with a drill for a minute or so, then vacuumed the box. Afterwards, showed me everything wrong and said he could repair everything for $700. Having worked with a chimney sweep years ago, I know what a proper cleaning is and this was not it! The box wasn't brushed nor any of the lower portions of the chimney actually cleaned including around the damper (still has soot around it). He also left some ashes on the floor where he sat the vac as well as two cups (one a spit cup) and an empty water bottle fell out of his truck before he left and rather than pick them up, he left them in my driveway. The ceramic logs were rapidly vacuumed, but, again, no brushing at all, so they are still caked with soot. Save yourself some money, buy the brush, rods, a good stiff brush, and clean it yourself. I am having to do that after this fiasco.

Our technician was amazing. He keot everything tidy, clean and worked quickly. We had even asked about another service the company provides and he was able to get a quote back and do the additional work same day! A little expensive but worth the money in quality and professionalism.

Bait and switch--hired to clean and inspect chimney for $99. One man climbed on the roof while the other came in, ran a dilapidated brush up the chimney twice, said, **Oh, we got major problems--no good** and proceeded to say our chimney needed a **deep cleaning** (which he could not describe) for $399.00. The firebrick panels definitely need repair, which he quoted at $1600 for the floor and three sides and **painted to look brand new** Evidently my $99 was not for a full cleaning--only the **basic**. The men on site were quite pleasant, but I would NOT recommend.

The price given by phone was $100, and when they finished the job the bill $450, so it was way more money than the one given. Joe Hurd will never recommend the company.

Explained what he was looking for and how to fix it. Showed us pictures of before and after. Cleaned up after himself beautifully. He was very knowledgeable about chimneys. I highly recommend them!

HO hired SP for $99 to clean chimney on 9/15; SP came and HO said he told him to leave what ever came out of chimney so he can inspect; told him to leave it out and HO would throw away; did about 1.5hr of work; SP said to wife it was caked with creosote which is fire hazard and burn house down; wife asked what could be done and SP said it had to scrapped by hand; it would be additional $700 extra to clean it; wife said too much and agreed to $400 extra; SP showed wife on phone with picture; that's when husband told him to leave mess out of chimney; HO said it was maybe 1 handful of soot or 2 handfuls and no creosote; SP leaves and HO husband found out they they up charged wife; HO heard regular cleaning from machine but SP never actually did any scraping and there was no creosote left with the other trash; SP said the reason why it wasn't left with trash was because it "blew away"; HO called owner of company to tell him his wife was pretty much robbed; SP told him he was busy an would get back to him; SP said he would investigate; SP said he would refund half of $500 resulting in $250; HO said that's not good enough

Very skilled and professional

I am torn about this review as I hired them to 1) clean my air vents and 2) clean my dryer vent. The work on the dryer vent was exceptional. The service guy discovered that the vent was no longer connected in the attic so all the link was being sprayed into the attic, instead of out through the outlet. He was able to fix that and I am happy with the work and the price. As for the air duct cleaning, it was the usual bait and switch. Offered all inclusive price for doing the work, hooked up a "negative ion pressure" machine to one vent and ran it for about an hour. I saw absolutely nothing come out through the tube and when the service guy detached the machine, I asked to see what had come out of the vents. He showed me the top filter which contained a few tiny pieces of lint/dirt. He stated that he would open the machine up and show me what it had captured. He instead rolled it out to his van and placed it in the van. When I asked to see what came out of the vents, he said that was it. Said I need a deep cleaning to release everything that is attached to the walls of the ductwork. This of course can be done by paying $60 per vent plus $200 for sanitizing. So for a total of almost $1,000 they can come back and do this. Totally what I kinda expected since I've read that these low-quote prices are simply a way to get into your house and try to get you to sign up for the pricier jobs. I would not recommend the duct cleaning unless you area doing it as a yearly maintenance. In my case, it has never been done so certainly it makes sense that more has to be done. I just don't appreciate being quoted a "Special" price to simply try to get me to sign up for additional services. They tried to inspect/clean my chimney as well but I had read reviews about the same type of tactics so I chose to refuse that service. Service guy was amazing but you get what you pay for. In the case of duct cleaning, that was nothing.
