The details are really above. When the gentleman was finally able to get to my house, he did a good job. There were just a few hitches in being able to get there.

The work was broken into two parts, repairing the fence and staining it. The crew showed up on time and stayed as long as it took to do the work. They worked hard and did very good work. I would for sure use them again.

Their response was good. I received a call back the same day. The salesman came out and discussed the process and we picked a stain color. Then he measured the fence and told me he would send an estimate via email. The estimate was returned in a timely manner and I approved it. The painter came out two days later (as agreed) and power washed the fence. Then a day after that he returned and stained the fence. The fence looks good and the work was done neatly and with no mess. I can recommend Texas Best Stain for this type of work.

I bought this service on Angies list with some reservations. To my surprise the vendor was very responsive, showed up on time and did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

light power wash did not get rid off some of the graying on the wood.

They arrived when expected and worked quickly. It may have been too quickly. The end result was a very thin coat of stain being applied. You can see through it. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. UPDATE Rocky, the owner, contacted me after I posted the above review. He seemed pretty upset that I wasn't 100% happy. He came out and looked at the work that had been done. He agreed that it was sub-standard and is re-staining the fence at no cost to me. I truly believe that he cares about his standards being met by his employees and, when they don't, he takes steps to make it right. That is the mark of a true professional. I would happily use his company again and recommend him highly.

I'm not happy with them. They were supposed to come out to clean fence and remove any stain that was previously on the fence, especially all areas where the old stain was peeling. When the cleaning crew came they only got 5% of the old stain off, most of the areas with peeling looked worse after than they did before. There were multiple spots were peeling was visible and remained intact. I communicated by email on several occasions that I was not satisfied with the cleaning job and was concerned that painting over a peeling area would yield more peeling and a poor quality job. I was told initially that I could pick a stain color from transparent, semi-transparent, or solid fence stains. I picked one color but they said it would not stick over the old stain since the prior stain could not be removed. I asked if they could simply reapply the same stain color and brand that was currently on the fence and was told that they could. Subsequently they indicated that even the same product would not work for this reapplication. I was then told that I could only select a solid fence stain (basically a paint that covers all wood grain vs a stain that shows the natural variations in the wood). Had I been told upfront that they could not properly clean the fence and could not use a transparent stain I would not have hired them at all. We went with another solid base color and they applied it to the fence. There were multiple areas that they missed including the railings, corners, and spacing between the board on board gaps. They sprayed over the peeling areas which looked absolutely terrible. I sent pictures and an email to the owner who agreed to send out a crew. His crew came out a second time, performed more work and still left the job in unacceptable condition. He said they would come out a third time to correct the issue and that he would personally review the job. On their 3rd attempt the owner said his crew scraped away as much of the peeling as possible and reapplied paint as necessary. I inspected the job and noted several areas that I could easily see peeling paint and pull off with ease. There are still several areas that were missed and the previous light color stain is completely visible. Overall the job was extremely poor quality and not worth the product cost much less the total agreed upon fee. I would recommend that you find a different provider.

15 year old wooden fence looks like new

It was a little frustrating at first because they kept calling my husband even though I sent them a message to call me, but the work was done promptly, and the results are amazing.

They fence looks beautiful. They did a great job. They didn't cover the air conditioners for stains. I didn't have my fence down before so I didn't even know what to look for but the air conditioners were filled with stain. My family and I had to get out. We had to clean it out of the grills. My neighbor came over to complain that they were spraying. It was in the air and they were upset because the spray was going to go everywhere. Honestly, they just need to be better about staining it when I wrap up things. The guys worked super hard. They used a technique that bleached it. I've had compliments from people who come out here. I thought the price was very good. They came when they said they were going to come. The gentleman who came was very professional. The product was very good.

It took forever to schedule the service after getting the estimate. Several emails and phone calls were made before service was finally scheduled. Work overall was very good, but the material used was below standard. Would not recommend them if you need a quick turn around and needed a quality fence.

The service had to be rescheduled several times due to torrential rains here in Dallas at the end of May. They contacted each time to explain the delay and provide estimates on next date opportunities. The inspection went well. They did have to come back to replace damaged slats in the fence.

It was during our rainy weather so scheduling was challenging. Once we had some dry days, all went well,

Everything was great from beginning to end

Rain delayed the stain date (not surprising as we've had the wettest year on record) but each time I was notified prior that it would be delayed. Communication was excellent. The job was done very well. There was some over spray because the wind carried it onto the white door and a few windows, but it was cleaned up promptly. I would recommend this company without hesitation and I will use them again for any fence stain work.

Very quick to schedule visit and responsive to emails, phone calls. Were looking to get the work done as quickly as possible. For somebody who doesn't know and hasn't done the research could get into trouble. The stain was not exactly the same as earlier stain color as well would be solid instead of semi-solid that I had earlier. Which means that have to take HOA approval, which per Text Best Stain was not required but subsequently agreed that I need to do it. Also during that conversation has asked for better quality stain so that it last longer but it was ignored all along. The day crew showed up for stain per plan when I asked what stain it, was told that it standard they use and if I were to go with one I have been asking for (weeks now) it would cost me $200-300 more. Essentially putting pressure to go with what they have. Overall they did fine job with the stain, cleaned up and at reasonable price. the above two issues is what left sour feeling about overall service.

I think that Texas Best Stain did a pretty good job, all things considered. I thought that the crew was good. The foreman even called me to ask me if I wanted a couple of wooden benches stained. I had not originally asked for that, but he said that he had leftover stain and could do it for me. I appreciated the proactiveness and the extra effort. I gave a C on pricing mainly because I'm not positive how great a deal I got from the Angie's List Big Deal. I needed the work done either way, so I was glad to take advantage of the offer. It would be interesting to note what I saved over having the service done at regular price.
