This was a big deal purchase and it was okay. It was adequate. I have a separate fenced off area where I have a pool pump and they were not very clean about cleaning up the spray around that area. They did not clean it up afterward. The work on the fence was fine. The details like that are what I found to be not satisfactory. There was an amount I prepaid down and then they needed to add to it slightly after obviously they came and saw the amount of fence that they had to stain. I thought the cost was reasonable for what it was. I did not discover it until after it already dried. It was extremely difficult to get most of it off.

Mark B, the representative was very helpful. Came out to provide quote on timely basis, provided good advice on getting our poles straightened. Job was pushed back one week due to their having crew issue. When workers showed, they did great job of covering the pool and spa. Only downside, was that the person staining inside of fence did not cover pool deck, so we did get some stain spatter. Fortunately, aggregate finish of patio helped keep this from being too noticeable. Special thanks to their staff person, Michelle. When I learned the job was getting pushed back a week, I emailed her on the "QT," to verify that work would be done by revised date, as I had surprise 60th pool party with 40 guests for my husband planned for following week. She was terrific about keeping me posted on when the crew would come, and promised the job would be finished in time. It was! Overall, looks like we have new fence :)

It was not a good experience. The deal advertised was $250 for repairs. The fellows were not dressed and told me the repairs could not be done for $250. So he talked to me, and I said I disagreed, but to go ahead and give me a bid. He gave me a bid, and I said it was fine. I then went out there, and the work wasn't done and wasn't done, and then the service tech showed up and calls me and says that the specs he was given were all wrong. I told him his guy was out there, and then I had the owner send me out another scope of work, I approved that, and they repaired the wrong gate. It just went from bad to worse. The owner of the company tried to work with me, and eventually the work got done, and I paid twice the other guys price, and didn't get all the work I needed done, and 3 days after the work was done, some of the pickets fell off. I ended up going there and doing it myself. It was a very bad experience. They did respond to my emails and they did respond to my calls. They were not there when they said they would be there. The ultimate manager was good, but they sent an incompetent appraiser out there and then they sent an incompetent repair man who could not repair a gate.

We excepted the revised bid and were told that they would be out the next week. They finally came today, Wednesday 05/04/2016 after saying they would be here Monday and then Tuesday. One worker showed up with the wrong size polygal and now they saw they won't be back until next week. There is plenty of time today to go back to the supplier, get the correct size and finish the job today. We have called the owner, the salesman, and the office manager with no replies this morning. This is totally not acceptable since we now have a patio cover without a roof. They did great job on our fence and our neighbor's fence, but the experience with the patio has been very frustrating. They will probably say that the weather is the reason for the delays, but there have been many sunny days since March 9 and the work could be completed. We think that they are putting jobs ahead of our job that are more profitable.

Michelle was excellent in communicating the bid, schedule and follow up through e-mail. She and Rocky were able to answer all my questions and followed through with their committments. Very professional and would highly recommend them to do your fence. Juan and his helper were on time and very courteous. They did an excellent job especially with the powe washing which made the fence look like new. Again the price included power washing, stain and labor to do both.

Horrible, should be callled Texas Worst Stain. So started out they were scheduled to clean the fence on March 21st and stain it on March 22nd. I'm not a guru or anything but as far as staining, should you not wait to stain until the weather is clear and not windy? When i spoke to Michelle on the phone she even let me know that they may wait to stain the next day until the weather is clear. Anyways they didn't wait and they were late a day in scheduling. No big deal. They arrived back on March 23nd, crew of 2, on a 44 mph windy day, when rain was scheduled in the forecast. They arrived at around 8:00 am when I was about to leave for work, then I get a call at 12:00, saying they are done. When i got home the coating was completely uneven all around the fence(both sides), along with the fact that spots on the top the fence didn't even see any stain. So ok, no big deal. Call them back and have them touch it up and add another coat. So I call Michelle Clonginger, who apparently doesn't know how to call anyone back, and left a message that the fence needs to be redone and touched up. She informs me that they were waiting on the 'scheduler' and will get back to me. I specifically tell her to call me and let me know. She doesn't call but rather sends and email without me knowing, the crew shows up on the 29th that morning. Well gates are locked, I have a pool, and I'm at work, so nothing gets done. So then I call her back same thing. Please call me when the crew can come back out. Same thing waiting on the 'scheduler' will get back to you. Again no call no text, just a random email, on Thursday night April 7th i happen to check my email. And see yet again she sent an email that the crew would be here tommorow ' April 8th. It is now almost 6:00 CST. No crew ever showed up or is ever going to show up. So i called back and left a message, telling them to forget it, and don't expect to be paid for the poor work that was done. I get the fact that staining a fence and it's cost isn't that big of a project. But if you don't have time for it, then let the client know, so they can find a reliable company to do the job right. Instead of putting them off till the last minute doing a poor job, and overall just not caring about the client or their request. What a nightmare. Can't understand how this company is so busy when they don't even have enough logic to stain a fence correctly.

I've left 3 voicemail, 1 message via Angie's List, and 1 message via their website. No Response. They may have gone out of business or are not looking for new clients.

. Rocky really came to bat for us with the insurance company. He was able to negotiate for us to get a better and nicer fence. We live in Rowlett, Texas where the tornado came through on 12/26/2016. We now have a beautiful 7' board on board stained cedar fence. Included in our price were 2 custom gates, very nicely done. He gave us a much better price than 3 or 4 other fence company we looked at, but he did not cut on the quality of the workmanship . I would recommend Rocky at Texas Best Stain for anyone looking for a new fence.

He did what he said he was going to do, and gave me a good price.

Juan and his daughter did such a Great job. I have had this done twice before from a different company. There is always some over spray on plants and such. I have white rock boarders to my beds and they are still white. Jain is very contentious.

We need our deck replaced, fence cleaned and it all re-stained. We got a few quotes but were happy to go with Texas Best Stain because the price was comparable and when Rocky came to do the quote, he showed an attention to detail the others hadn't. It went downhill from there, in summary: - They turned up on the first day and weren't really clear on what they were meant to be doing. It was at that point we realized they were sub-contractors. - We hadn't picked a stain color, so we were quite surprised when they started staining on day 2. Although we eventually settled on a darker color they could spray over what was done, we've been left with a stain color we didn't really want. - When they did start staining in the back yard, no attempt was made to protect our property. They got stain over everything, garden tools, pool, pool pump, plants and garden ornaments. To give them some credit they did clean the path after the initial staining but given they stained again the same day and made more mess it was wasted effort. - They trampled our Cana Lillies, broke a marked sprinkler and a drip irrigation line. Even managed to walk off with one of our buckets. - When they completed the deck, they pressure washed it and then immediately started staining it. It wasn't allowed to dry at all and they over sprayed it leaving large pools of stain sitting on some boards. It was a surprise to nobody that it wouldn't dry and they had to come back and remove the stain. In the end, it took over a month to get the deck stained because they had to return multiple times. Having endured all that, the end result wasn't particularly good. The deck looks messy, the kickboards shows random gaps where the deck boards aren't level and the staining still looks patchy (hopefully some time fixes this though). Very disappointed, needless to say we wouldnt use them again.

They did not re-stain the wood properly where you could see spots on the fence.. They did not remove all the stakes to hold up the fence when the concrete was setting .. with all the repairs that was done it was not done safely. They also left nails on the driveway where I had to replace all the tires on 2 vehicles that cost almost $1000.00.. They also did not remove the old concrete. They in my flowerbed as the retaining wall instead of taking it away like they suppose to..

due to miscommunication, restained both sides of my fence instead of just exterior like I requested. Did not ask for additional payment for extra staining. Really appreciate it. Stain looks professional.

It didn't go well. Overall, I am surprise they even offer this service. First off, someone comes out and tries to sell me on an additional $450 in fence repair (which I didn't want). Then they send somebody out about a week later (and actually they never showed on the first day they were due out). For $249 I get nine boards replaced in my fence. That's it. Well, I think they did something to the gate as well, although now the gate does not swing as well as it did before. All that for $249. I guess there was nothing else they could do (or wanted to do) unless I was willing to pay a lot more money - which I wouldn't do. The deal says "10 boards" - but if I am getting nothing else - you would think they would be willing to put up a few more boards. Won't use them again. Too bad too - a month before they did a beautiful job on the $250 staining Angie's List deal for another house I own.

Since they never called, I can only assume that this slipped through the cracks. Maybe they are a good company but I can't recommend them. My experience is that they don't follow through even on a phone call for new business.

I love the look. There was one place that was missed (a small place that was not easy to see) but I had no problem getting them back out. They did not show up when they were suppose to come back out but I did get a call and I did not have to be there so it was no big deal. The only thing I would suggest is that you move anything that you do not want overspray on before they come. My trash cans had overspray on them.

They were able to have someone out to work on the fence within 2 days. They performed more work than they expected but didn't charge any higher than what they had quoted. The work looks great and would definitely use again in the future.

There were some scheduling issues but they were super nice and easy to work with. They came back promptly after I noticed they got some stain on the house and cleaned it up.

Add $76 for extra square footage over 1000 feet (not sure where that number came from) Otherwise very pleased with the job. Very clean and neat. Would use again.

It has been over a year since the job was done. Now I noticed my fence was not done properly. The side of the boards looks stained, but the wooden boards across does not. I remember at the time of scheduling an appointment, it was hard to schedule an appropriate time. There was a problem with my outside outlet not working after when the worker came to perform the job, so I had to fix the problem and reschedule. I rescheduled for 8:00 a.m. The guy didn't show up. Rescheduled for that evening and the guy didn't show. The job was finally performed the next day. I also don't like it because he nailed 2 signs on my fence without my permission.

It went well. They were prompt when they came by to do the initial estimate. They explained everything clearly. They performed the work within 2-3 weeks. They did very good work fixing and painting the fence. The painting they did on the deck was decent. I think they could have done a little better job and removing more of the prior paint, which would've resulted in a better result, but so far the paint they put on stuck. They missed a few things and I had to call them back to touch up a few things but they came back in the following days and did good work.

It went smoothly. They gave us a quote which we accepted. They showed up on time as scheduled. They painted the fences based on our instructions. No hiccups during the process.
