Covered and prepared area And swept chimney with no dust or residue. Then went outside and inspected the chimney from the Outside. Thoroughly professional and would certainly Recommend this firm

Description of Work: Ben Close, was our service person. He was very polite, professional and did a good job. He also took the time to demostrate the proper way to light the fire place. He checked the chimney. He protected the floor , laid a drop cloth down.

Description of Work: Booked the chimnetsweep/inspection service in November, but then went out of town for 6 weeks.I called on Jan7th to book a service date on Jan 15th. They were very porfessional on the phone. Jack was to come between 1 and 3pm. He called at 10:45 to say his previous appointment cancelled and could he come early. He came in 1/2 an hour, checked the inside fireplace and then went up on the roof and checked the exterior chimney - 2 stories up. All in all service was good and I would use them again.

Description of Work: The $194.83 was in addition to the $89 coupon I bought from Angie's List for chimney cleaning and inspection. It was for a chimney screen and Dryer Vent Cleaning. The chimney was in good condition but the dryer vent had not been cleaned in years and was a definite fire hazard so I had it cleaned while the technician (Jack) was here. He was very professional and cleaned up all mess, including the accumulated dust under the dryer. He even cleaned a slider screen track for me. I would not hesitate to use his services again. In fact, in the near future I will have him come back to do a Flashing Screw and Seal.

Description of Work: I was most disappointed with Angie's List for not putting on the advertisement that gas fireplaces don't need Chimney Sweeps. I believe I spent $99 for the guy to come out and tell me it wasn't necessary. He was very professional. Said I could contact AL for refund but he wasn't sure how to do that. He did inspect what he could, but totally a waste of money. I believe it is partially my fault for lack of knowledge about fireplaces and partly Angie's list for not fully disclosing "who needs a chimney sweep." Very disappointed in Angie's List.

He said rather than clean a perfect chimney, he would take a look at the house to see what might be getting in the attic and how. I greatly appreciated the honesty and the alternative services (rather than just a waste of money).
