Not a good experience at all. Filled house with smoke when the tech tried to vacuum hot ashes & almost set his vacuum on fire. (HE WAS WARNED AHEAD OF TIME THEY WERE HOT) Took a lot of water to get it to quit smoking. Saw the brush come out but never saw it used nor did I hear it being used. Tech said the flue was very clean?? It has never been cleaned since I bought the house 10 years ago & burn a lot of Duraflame logs & some wood. Find it hard to believe it was clean, damper is very black.

Arrived on time and completed job in a timely manner and cleaned up after work was complete.

purchased the daily deal off the email from Angie's List, and called to set up appointment, was schedule for a 3 days out. The tech, called the morning to confirm appointment and followed up throughout the day to ensure I wasn't waiting around for him--really appreciated that. Showed up, cleaned the chimney and provide feedback. Was great efficient, to the point and cleaned up after himself!

Very prompt, professional, friendly, clean. No problem with keeping rest of house clean. Only comment is that prospective customers should recognize that the chimney & fireplace cleaning consists only of a vacuuming - not any soap & water, etc. type of cleaning. Thanks!

Bought coupon for cleaning and inspection of an old wood burning chimney that we are converting to gas. Came by promptly and "cleaned the chimney." Was hard to say if it needed it or not but tech assured me everything was in working order. Don't expect to need again in the future but would call them if i had doubts.

Jack, the chimney sweep did an excellent job of cleaning, sweeping and inspecting the chimney. He made recommendations for caulking the hardy board installation around the roof area and all seams.

The worker was prompt, responsive and professional. He did a great job not only making sure the fireplace was functional and safe, but also made it look really nice again. (It was pretty dirty and neglected before.) He answered all my questions (I'm new to TX-style gas fireplaces) and was willing to look at an outside vent at my request and answer more questions (what is this? does it work? do i need it?) I was thrilled that the unit was in working order, but felt he would have told me if there were any issues. Now I have a clean, working, beautiful fireplace- just in time for the holidays!

Scheduling an appointment was very easy. When the technician arrived, I explained that I wasn't even sure we needed the cleaning because we have a gas fireplace. But, I hadn't used it in a couple of years, so I wanted to make sure that everything was in good working order. I am very glad I decided to have the service. The technician cleaned dust and dirt out of the chimney. He first layed down a tarp to make sure our floor remained clean. He also inspected the gas log and line and gave me an estimate for replacing all of it. He got on the roof and recommended that we change our chimney cap, as well as seal the outside. Overall, I was very pleased and I anticipate that I'll be making an appointment to have all of the recommended work completed.

He was punctual and polite. Worked fast, cleaned up afterwards and gave me estimates for chimney caps for the future. Very please with their service! I would recommend them and use them again myself.

I really appreciated the way Jack sent me an email invitation to schedule the cleaning. This way, I didn't forget that I'd bought the deal and got the job done as soon as possible. I had questions about the fireplace, fireplace safety and maintenance and Jack patiently and clearly responded to everything I asked.

Jack called to verify a day or so before the scheduled appointment and then also called the morning of to say he was on his way to the house ! When he arrived, he greeted us with a smile and shook both my husband's and my hand. He then proceeded with his work, explaining what he was doing. We have 2 chimneys, but as it turns out, we only needed one chimney cleaned. We will be using this company from now on because of Jack's honesty and professionalism. Very impressed !

The employee of this co. called 2 hours before I was expecting him, which was fine. He got right to work on the fireplace and did good job. Was very neat and organized. He however did not know that I had bought the Big Deal and did not know what the services were to include. I had to ask him about the animal inspection. He looked at me like he didn't have a clue but did go around the outside of my house checking for places animals might get in at. He did not want to go into my attic. Overall this was an OK experience. I think the management failed to communicate with the employee causing him to not know what he was expected to do.

I wasn’t overly impressed. They did no more than any other chimney sweep company, I thought that they would take some additional steps, like going in to my attic, to ensure that animals couldn’t get in. As far as the chimney cleaning and inspection, they did a fine job. I felt that they could have done more for the wildlife intrusion evaluation portion of the Deal.

The service member was on time and in good spirits. He was professional, courteous and clean. There was attention to the work being done and a discussion of what was found as well as the options to resolving potential future issues. However, there were no pressured sales tactics. In the end, the chimney was clean and ready to go and I thought the overall process was an excellent value provided by an individual I would be happy to have back over if further work needs to be done in the future.

Jack was professional in every way, and called way ahead to confirm his estimated arrival, letting me know that the appointments were running a bit behind schedule that day ... which is always understandable in the residential services field. His communications before as well as during the appointment were top notch, including very clear explanations of the services needed and what he could do for us. In addition to the dirty chimney, we had a chimney that was not drawing smoke well at the end of fire when the embers begin to die down. We had tried several DIY solutions, after doing some research on the Internet, but the fireplace would still get smoky at the end of the fire. He removed a very heavy, temporary, ceramic chimney flue extension that I had installed myself (a trial-and-error attempt that didn't help our smoky fireplace problem). Jack even lowered it down from the roof for us, at no extra charge, and suggested that just giving the flue a good cleaning might solve the problem, along with the inside of the fire box and the "smoke shelf" part just above and behind the fireplace damper. I never even knew such a smoke shelf existed, so I learned some technical things about the fireplace/chimney apparatus that's handy to know. Jack is my kind of guy ... willing to suggest trying the obvious and less costly solution first, and then giving us a guaranteed bid for other steps we can try if this initial effort doesn't help the smoking problem. We've had warm weather since, so I haven't yet tested the fireplace. But I will make a follow-up edit to this review after we've seen how it goes. As for the chimney sweep service provided, Jack was tidy, professional, obviously knowledgeable and well-equipped for the job. He didn't leave a speck of dust anywhere, so we were pleased with the whole experience.

I called to set the appointment up and was scheduled for 11/17/2012 for a window time of 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. When I initially called to schedule this appointment, the lady was nice and seemed professional. The day before this appointment, I called and confirmed the date and time frame. On the date of the appointment, 11/17/2012, I called at 10:30 AM (one-half hour prior to the beginning time frame of this window appointment) to find out if the man scheduled to come to my home would be at my home in the morning between 11 AM - 12:00 Noon or closer to 1:00 PM. This same lady answered my call and informed me that the man scheduled to be at my home had automobile problems (his truck broke down) and he wouldn't be to my home as planned and we would have to reschedule. I replied that it was absolutely imperative that someone come to my home on the same day 11/17/2012 to provide the services because I had other plans scheduled for the next 3 weeks. The lady was able to find another worker to come out to my home on the same day; however, that person wouldn't be to my home until sometime between 1:00 - 4:00 PM. This only was a minor inconvenience, and the worker showed up at approximately 1:30 PM. The services performed were satisfactory; therefore, I would consider utilizing this company in the future, if the need arises and their charges are reasonable.

I had an appointment with them Saturday at 2pm. They didn’t arrive and did not call. I called to find out what was going on. They called back a little while later and said they couldn’t come because they were busy. They also said that they called earlier that morning and left a message saying that the appointment was cancelled. I decided that I didn’t want to work with them and I am getting a refund.

I would give them an "A" all around. I don't know of one thing I would of changed.

He came on time and did a great job cleaning and iinspecting the chimney and fireplace.
