Description of Work: Asked for diagnosis of transmission issue. They read a code a recommended an expensive repair. Refused to consider alternate cause (backed up by research) that, if not checked and ruled out, would have rendered the recommended $2k repair useless. I expected better from a company with a good Angie's List rating.

Description of Work: They do all of my major automotive maintenance on a 2000 Volkswagen Passat. They most recently did a large electrical job as my satellite radio was shorting out the car. They had to run a few tests over several days and they finally found the issue as the radio was an add on. I took the car somewhere else and they were unable to figure out at another service provider. They took care of an issue with a catalytic converter issue that had been changed out twice in the past and my car is now running like it isnew.

+ -1 moreI have always taken my car to the dealer for service and thought I would try to give a independent service company a chance, I tried to check out as best I could (Angie's list-,etc..) to find someone that I could trust to work on my car, as it is a German import (Porsche boxter) and I intend to keep the car for a long time. this experience was not good (Terrible ) and I probably will only use the dealer for any repairs in the future.
Description of Work: I took my car in for service and check-up as a service light was on , they checked the reason and said it was a part that was not covered by my warranty so I agreed to repair it , which they said would be ready the next day, along with an oil change,well they ended up not finishing the work on my car for a week and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON, , had I not called them everyday asking about when my car would be ready it probably would have been longer, I don't put alot of miles on my car and have keept it in great condition, , it looks like I just lost $850.00 and will have to take it to a dealership for repair, to fix whatever they messed up. Frankly, I wonder if they even replaced anything in the first place.

+ -1 moreBeing tired of being overcharged for poor service, if not taken for a ride, by the local BMW dealers, I decided to give this place a shot. I took my BMW M3 for a simple oil change service and brake flush, the job was done promptly while I was waiting. The price was probably similar to what I would have paid at the dealer. They have a great facility and were very courteous. I will probably take my cars there again.

+ -1 moreThey misdiagnosed the cause and location of my oil leaks. They looked at it for less than an hour and determined that I needed to replace two parts with labor would cost me over 2500. The employess are very personable and professional. Although their diagnosis was wrong and it would have cost me nearly 3 times what it actually cost to do the repair the people were pleasant. That said I'm not going back there. I felt like the people there were looking to take advantage of me. There are better places to take the Took it to European Auto Tech fixed perfectly for just over 800.
Description of Work: Took my car into Autoscope in Plano for an Oil Change for my BMW. They did a fine job on the oil change. I also asked them to check out a leak (I actually had two leaks).

Prices are not cheap, but the work is quality work. I've never had to return due to a botched repair, and my car is always in tip-top condition when I leave. Nerces is also a sponsor of the local BMW Car Club and provides discounts to members for repairs. I've been going to Autoscope since 2000 and will continue to trust them with my BMW repairs.
