Description of Work: Call was returned within two hours. An estimate was determined for our needs and an appointment was set within 48 hours. Tech arrived 10 minutes before appointment (he did call first). He assessed the needs and was able to complete the work within the estimated time. This was a great experience and I will be calling them back for additional work needed around the house. Reliable and Affordable.

Description of Work: Replaced light fixture; upgraded electrical panel to AFCI breakers; pre-wired garage for door opener. All went well - only one guy came out at first, but he called for an assistant when he realized how long things were taking. When I got the quote, the office manager warned me they'd had trouble upgrading to the AFCI breakers in older homes (breakers would flip) - and I have had problems on occasion. Bought a more energy efficient tv and problems have almost completely gone away.

I really can't say enough good about this company, they saved me a ton of time that I would have needed had I done it myself on a weekend. The work performed was quality and I am using their services again for my exterior electrical.

Description of Work: Our oven would loose power intermittently over a 3 week period. Finally it stopped working at all. My husband called Klock and Vaughn this morning and discussed our problem at length with the gentleman who returned his call. We were told that we would get a call from a serviceman prior to arrival and were clearly informed of the fee. Jessie called around 2 this afternoon and arrived at 2:30 as he had said. After briefly reviewing the problem, Jessie found the source within 5 minutes. It turned out to be a problem in how an outlet had been installed in a way that was causing it to spark, and heat the outlet, resulting in shorting the circuit, and overtime was melting the outlet socket to the point were we we're at risk for fire! We had not noticed the problem because the outlet was located in the room on the other side of the wall where the stove was. Jessie replaced the melted piece at no charge, and then went out of his way to help us reassemble our stove/oven and put it back in place, even though it was my husband, not Jessie, who had moved it. We could not have been more satisfied with every aspect of service!

Description of Work: Called for estimate on rewiring aluminum wiring in house and replacing wall panel....Klock came and gave me his business card which does not give an address and uses a different name on the card than on Angie's list : Klock Electric Co. instead of Klock & Vaughan. He came with a young girl in tow (in her teens or twenties?) - his daughter - who was apparenty learning the estimate business and was prepared to tell me how electrical systems worked..... Went through the house and talked nonstop on how difficult it was to change this and that with the aluminum wiring....said he would get back to me with an estimate and never did.....would NOT use this company ever....

Description of Work: Needed some electrical work done before new hardie board was installed. Noticed a hole in the wall in master bedroom where they had to install an electrical outlet for the outside and the same for the upstair bedroom. Did some work on the electrical box on the outside of the house. After the install of the hardie board, call klock to come out and secure the main electrical line to the house before the inspector came out and they said it would be Monday or Tuesday before they can come out. It’s been over a week and it still is unsecured. Just poor business if you have any issues after the work is done and you have any questions or concers after. I guess once they complete the work that’s it, no warranty on the work.

Description of Work: I used them twice. They put in a switch. I had a dishwasher problem. They put in a switch the first time. The second time they came over they couldn't figure out what the problem was. Somehow or another they wired around the problem. He told me that if I wanted them to figure out the problem they could come back but it would cost a lot of money. I said forget it because it was working. They are close to my house. They did fine.

Description of Work: Called about 7-8 electricians listed a-top Angie's List, those ranked highest. Only two called back the same day in response to my detailed message about the work needed completing. Another electrician bid MORE THAN TWICE what KLOCK & VAUGHN bid. Greg Klock said he or another would be out @ 8:45am on the day I requested to repair 2 burnt out switches or their exterior fixtures. His electrician, Steve, was exactly on time and surveyed and completed the job within 35 minutes. Steve was the utmost of professionals and answered all of my questions, educating me on the work he did. Their bill came to the EXACT amount quoted in advance! Steve also wrote up a detailed bid for further work upon my request. We will definitely use Klock & Vaughn again.

Description of Work: No show! Spoke to Greg Klock, the owner, yesterday and he said he would come out today between 2-3 pm to look at the wiring on my smoke detectors. Did not show up, did not call, and did not return my call when I called around 4:30 to see if he was still coming. A frustrating waste of time!

Description of Work: Rough electrical on home addition. Two interior outlets, 2 light switches, and 1 GFI protected exterior outlet.

Description of Work: I am so pleased with the work that was done by this company. (Klock & Vaughn) They were able to take care of several malfunctioning light switches and replacing the ballist in my kitchen. They were so professional in calling me at work to let me know that they were running 1/2 hour late. I highly recommend them to do electrical work on your home.
