Description of Work: Removed all mold on air registers and cleaned inside of all duct work. Mike and Gilbert worked all day giving us a dust free house again. Our allergies should be so much better after their work. They cleaned up so well you could not tell that they had been there. We will use them every year for annual check-ups plus if there are any new problems that arise. Its so nice to have professionals that know what they are doing.

Description of Work: cleaned air ducts and dryer vent. excellent work. cleared any mold build up, fixed the air vent in the attic to ensure better airflow upstairs and throughout the house. Left the place clean and free of debris.

Description of Work: Was not able to use their services. Called couple of times to schedule visit for the air duct cleaning but their schedule was booked or unavailable. That's not to say that my schedule is fairly simple either. | |They might do a fine job though - just can't say rate it. Finally entering this neutral review since Angie's list keeps reminding me about the review over and over.

Description of Work: Mike and his assistant were awesome! They were very professional, and explained things to us clearly, did extra help involved in cleaning thoroughly our dryer vent. We paid $74 last year in 2015, for the Angie's List Deal, & were scheduled for that service for July 11, 2015. On the day of our service appointment, I received an emergency phone call, telling me that my mother, who lived in Central TX had just had a massive heart attack, and was in emergency surgery. We were forced to call, last minute and cancel our Service Express appointment for that day. They were very understanding. After this, my mother was very ill, being rushed to the hospital 8 times in 8 months, finally being brought back to our home in Hospice care until her death a few weeks ago. I had no time, during this time to think about anything else, except my mother's needs. So I worried that due to the time lapse, that I possibly had lost the money I had paid for this deal, so many months earlier. A few days before this service appointment, I called the office, speaking to Tonya, who was so sweet and understanding, and told me they could still honor my Deal, and nicely scheduled us for service on my requested Saturday, only a few days after my phone call to them. Such a relief to me. While Mike was here doing the vent cleaning, he offered us a price to also sanitize our vents for $199, and after him explaining to us what all that would help with, we agreed and purchased it that day. They were also great at wearing covers on their shoes to protect my floors, and cleaned up after themselves as well. We are very happy with their service, their friendliness and their professionalism, and would use them again in the future, as well as recommend them to others. Thank you Service Express!

Description of Work: All registers were cleaned and the ducts were brushed clean and sanitized. Dryer vent was cleaned also. After being shown some gaps in the duct work, they were resealed to prevent air loss. Crew did an excellent job of cleaning up after they completed their work.

Description of Work: I had them come out to clean air vents, but the problem was only the dryer vent. Mike and his helper cleaned this lint-packed vent and solved a bothersome dust problem I had been having. Discovered they also do other things, like carpet cleaning, and expect to call them again in the fall for this work. Both men were very professional and Mike answered all my questions.

Description of Work: They advised the service I had ordered did not need to be performed due to my duct work being clean. Instead they sanitized the duct work but this service did not have a special so it cost more money

Description of Work: This company is running a scam. I paid about $75 to have the ductwork in my HVAC system vacuumed out, and I ended up paying almost $2,000 for work that I now know I could have had done for well under $1,000. They were late arriving for the first appointment, and one of the first things they said was that they would only clean the first few feet of my dryer vent, not the entire length, unless I paid extra Then they inspected my ductwork and found some evidence of mold plus a few tears in the ducts. Of course they say it in a way to scare you. They make you think that you're going to get sick and die from the mold, even though the previous occupants of the home did not have any health problems. They offered me a "Package deal" to take care of the ductwork that needed to be repaired, and they would spray a chemical that is supposed to take care of the mold, but about $1,600. After I complained about how expensive that was, they agreed to knock $100 off. At that point I felt like I was being screwed, but since I just bought the house and was new to Houston, and would be moving in with my wife and child in a week, I felt pressured to have them do the work since I did not know who else to call on short notice. Once they were in the attic, they found a piece of ductwork that had such a large tear, that they needed to replace the entire section. Of course that was an additional $200, which brought my total bill to $200. And even though they could not get the part that day, of course I had to pay for everyting or they wouldn't finish the other work. After they were done (About 4 hours), they left and said they would be back the next day with the large piece that needed to be replaced. To keep the story short, it took them about a week to come back, and they kept delaying every time I would call and ask what the status was. Of course they already had my money, so they were on to other jobs and I was not a priority anymore. On top of this all, they lost one of their tools while working on my house (Or so they said) and acted like I had stolen it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. About 2 months later I noticed that there was still a musty like smell coming from one of the ducts, so I called and asked them to come back, since they provide a warranty on their work. They finally came after a week and sprayed what was supposedly a stronger chemical that they said should take care of the problem (Why couldn't they use this better chemical originally???), but the smell still did not go away completely. Finally I gave up and found another company on Angie's List that will disinfect all of the ducts in your house for less than $100. I had them come out, and once they were finished I have not had any issues at all! How I wish I had known about this other company before I threw away my money with Service Express Home Experts. They should change their name, because they are not an expert at anything except screwing people out of their money. I hope other people also complain so that this company will be removed from Angie's List completely. If they had any integrity at all, they would refund all of the money I paid them.
