I purchased a Big Deal from Service Express Home Experts for $79.99 for a complete home air duct cleaning. Adam and Lee were both prompt and courteous. I wasn't entirely surprised when Adam told me there was mold. I'd been able to see it on the air vents. I was a bit shocked when he showed me the extent of the mold in the air ducts. Everything was coated in black. Many years ago I'd had the ducts/vents cleaned by a company that I found through one of those advertising mailers. Let's just say there is no comparison. After Adam showed me the work that needed to be done, and that unfortunately my Big Deal would not cover all that work, he reviewed all the costs and options with me, so I knew up front how much the job would cost me and what I would be getting in return. Adam and Lee worked for nearly 2 hours and I have a small house, only 1,000 sq ft, but I can tell you there is no more mold in my air ducts and vents. Everything was brushed out, vacuumed, sanitized, deodorized as well as being treated with an anti-bacterial solution. Adam also worked to seal up some of the learks in the supply vent, while Lee scrubbed clean the air vents. Before leaving they vacuumed up every tiny trace of material that was blown out of the vents during cleaning, definitely leaving my house cleaner than before they arrived. When my neighbor walked in later in the day, her first comment to me was, "Oh, your house smells so good!" Thank you Adam and Lee for a first rate job.

My husband and I have pretty bad allergies. Who doesn?t these days? We had Service Express Home Experts come out and clean our air ducts. They did a great job. The guys (two) were very thorough, cleaned up after themselves and pleasant. Both were knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Only issue was they were late, but not to their fault. Traffic in the area on a pretty Saturday afternoon is bad. They did do an excellent job in keeping me up to date.

They did an excellent job. They were very clean and very conscientious. They are both very polite. The gentlemen came in, and checked everything out before they start the work and when they got busy, they just did their job in a professional manner. The cost was acceptable. They were right on time.

Great job, Mike said he cancelled next scheduled ob that same day because we had so much dust and mold in our air ducts that had been installed in 2004. AC ducts in attic had been replaced in 2004 and I was surprised to see so much dust and mold in my AC and furnaces after several services. Mike asked me into the attic to take before and after pictures. Mike and his assistant were there from 11:30 am to 7 pm. They were 2 hours late because of a sligt auto accident. I feel the work they did was great and handled professionally but had sticker shock and buyer's remorse after paying about $2400 for the service. Since the service date I found out I could have had air ducts replaced for just a little more money. I should have done my reserach but Mike and his assistant were there and they seemed so earnest and hard working. My bad.

Kind of felt pressured and ended up spending over 10 times what we originally signed up for. It may have been a great price, and a great service performed, but I felt I didn't have time to do my homework or shop the market since I had already spent money to buy their deal. Just have a bad taste in my mouth now.

The man was professional and friendly, but he claimed that we may have mold in the ducts which increased the price to approximately $400. However, he couldn't identify with certainty that it was mold, so we made an arrangement for him to return at a later date and clean the high-traffic areas of the carpets instead.

Purchased via Angie's List coupon; provider showed up on time and performed the services as expected. They didn't try to oversell and delivered exactly what was purchased. I'd recommend.

They did a great job and my air is noticable cleaner.

The lead guy tried to get me to have my "mold" problem treated, but I ($800) declined. Then he tried scaring me by saying that if they vacuumed without treating the "mold" it could stir up the spores and be dangerous. So then I said that maybe he should leave and not clean the ducts at all, and then he backed down and said that, No, he could do his best to just vacuum and stir anything up. Just beware and they will do a good job for a fair price. The young man with the lead guy was super. So very nice.

I would never do this again. This was suppose to be a 79.00 charge. Before they even came out it went to 160.00 because I had two air conditioners. I knew this and was okay with this. I paid the one charge of 79.00 in advance. They started the work and after about 30 minutes they had an estimate a whole lot of other services that my system needed. The amount was just under $1000. I did have a mold problem. They were so far into the job that I went along with it. For the amount of money that I paid I could have completely replaced my air conditioner ducts in the upstairs part of the house myself. The main problem I have is that this was an Angie's List special and I paid for a portion of the work up front and then when they were into the job the cost went from around 160 to almost 1000! The guys were nice enough but towards the end of the process they got a call from their office. I overheard half of the conversation and it appeared that the office was upset that they were taking so long on my job. The guy on my end was trying to explain why it was taking so long. The guy in the office was not happy with the time it was taking. Apparently these guys were late for the next appointment. At that point the workers got everything up and left as quickly as possible. They were suppose to clean out the dryer vent as well. The guy asked me about it and then said " that will be okay". At that point I was ready for them to leave. This has been a learning experience for me. If I had them come in and give me an estimate I never would have agreed to 1000 to have my system cleaned even if it needed it. I would have gotten a second estimate and also looked into just replacing the duct work. The only reason I used these guys was because they were on Angie's List. I can't say they did a bad job. I will not know if they did a good job until I see if the mold problem I wanted corrected is truly corrected. I am upset with the process. One, this was an Angie's List "special" and two, that they were so far into the job before I got the estimate for the rest of the stuff I needed. If they had estimated the job first I never would have agreed to it. In the future I will not be using Angie List specials, I will not pay anything in advance, and will alway insist on a complete estimate before any of the work is started. I would not be writing a review like this if I had gotten a complete estimate before the job started. I should have researched this more before they came out.

We saw their add in the local Angie's List for duct cleaning, which we wanted to get done. Then we noticed they do carpet and upholstery cleaning. We have allergies, and it's great to have a cleaner environment. It was a job well done Mike and Caesar.

It was fine. They were upfront about what they were doing. They were tidy and polite.

Mike explained everything clearly to me. I spent more than I planned however he was able to show me much of what he thought I needed dealt with including mold on a few air vents. He and Cesar kept cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous.

They did a very good job. I have already spread the word that they were good, and passed their number around to people.The price was fair for what they did. The quality of work was very nice, and they were very personable.

I had a good experience with them. They were professional. We had some problems and they demonstrated them to us. So far we are pleased with the outcome of what they did. I think it makes the A/C and heat work a little bit better. There was a lot of garbage in there. It wasn't perfect but it was about what we had expected.

As it turned out, due to some problems with my air conditioner a few months ago, they found mold growing in three of the ducts which required extra steps to sanitize and kill the mold. They applied solutions to kill the mold and kept me informed along the way. There was extra expense due to the mold but I was very glad I called because this could have caused health problems for me and my family. As they finished each duct, they cleaned the surrounding area, including the floors. They were respectful of my belongings and made sure to put the furniture back in place as soon as they were finished with each area and left my home nice and tidy. My home smells fresh and clean. I will definitely use Service Express Home Experts again and have already called family and friends to tell them about the great service and value provided.

My house is 45 years old and I'm sure the air ducts had never been cleaned. Adam and Lee arrived promptly and surveyed what needed to be done. They brought in their equipment and removed all the air duct covers. They were both very professional and knowledgeable. The process took about an hour and a half. It was a bit messy but they vacuumed up the noticeable dirt. I believe that since this had never been done before that the process is a bit messier than it should have been. I would suggest that if this is the first time you've had this type of work done that you should cover the furniture, etc. All in all, though, I was very satisfied with the whole procedure.

.They came out and told me that I had mold in my air ducts and that they would have to sanitize them and it'd be $1600. Ins. adjuster came out and inspected and found the ducts were just dirty. Felt like they were trying to rip me off.

They immediately scheduled the appointment and came on time. They cleaned and sanitized my air system. They informed me of a health concern with one of my vents and immediately fixed it without extra charges which I truly appreciated and respected. The price I paid was a fair price for their services. Yes, I would use them again.

Mike showed up with his crew after having done a job with multiple units, so he was late. I don't fault him for that since I understand things happen and jobs can run long. His guys got to work, cleaned all the ducts, vents, found mold and remediated. Mike knows his business. I was expecting the typical mold upcharge, but Mike was great. He explained what was happening and what needed to be done to remediate the mold and it's all part of the work.

It turned out okay. They spent a couple of hours at my home. I wasn’t too impressed with the vacuum they used. I felt it was expensive because of the additional services. Scheduling with them was easy though. I would shop around before using them again in the future.

First, the bad... I bought the $79 duct cleaning offer from Angie's List and didn't realize it was per AC unit. I have two units and only bought one special offer. I was told this information was somewhere in the offer. I must have missed it. Now, the good... They showed up right on time... a good way to start. Their normal costs for each AC unit are upwards of $200+. They charged me the same $79, that I paid for the special, for the second unit. The charge for the extra AC unit was not a surprise as this was revealed when I made the appointment. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't try to up-charge me for the second unit... a better way to start. They would have cleaned out the ducts and left for about $180. However, they found mold and mildew. I saw them pull down the vent covers and the back side had mold and mildew. It wasn't just one or two vents, it was pervasive... about 18 of my 28 vents. I had them clean the vent covers, clean the vents, clean the ducts, spray the different mold, mildew and germ killers. Obviously, the mold and mildew remediation was not expected but, I was not going to let them leave without having it taken care of. Mike was awesome. He knew everything there is to know about mold remediation. He also went into my attic to check my heating and air conditioning system in order to determine the root cause of the mold and mildew. He recommended that I get an HVAC person to re-seal the duct lines to the plenum. They are not sealed properly causing warm attic air to mix with the cooler air in the lines resulting in condensation. When they left, everything was perfect! All my ducts and vents were cleaned, mold and mildew removed, my floors were clean and everything put back where it was before they started... the best way to finish. This is no hit-and-run operation. They will take all the time they needed to get it done right. My cleaning took 7 hours due to the mold remediation. Under normal conditions, it will take about 3-4 hours. Make sure you schedule your cleaning appropriately. Would I use them again... absolutely. Would I recommend them to my friends... absolutely.

I had this done because we had completed some home renovations and I hate dusting. Little did I know that the unit had mold growing around the ducts that left the box thing in the attic. it was gross and they took me up there to see it. They offered to take a pic with their cell phone to show me but I went to attic to see. YUCK! They cleaned the mold and disinfected it. Well worth the money. They were very professional and didn't find any leaks or anything else wrong with unit. I will have them back yearly!
