I thought it went well until I had to buy a new AC and heater. Once the duct was removed my contractor pointed out how dirty and moldy it was. I realized then that Mike and his assistant did not do the job I expected. I had a manager call back after I posted a negative comment about Service Express but as of 12/24/14 haven't heard from anyone. I would advise anyone to do your homework on duct cleaning before you hire anyone because according to my AC guy it's not worth the expense. It would be more cost affective to replace instead of clean them. I would not use Service Express again or any duct cleaning company.

Price was VERY good. Came to house in May as originally scheduled. After few hours, I was told they did not have proper tools to complete the job, but was told the Job Supervisor would call me (never did talk to the job supervisor). Via email, job was rescheduled for two weeks later. They did not return as rescheduled, nor did they call to say WHEN they were going to return. At this point I thought my job fell through the cracks. It was only because I "repeatedly" called them more than a month later did they fit me in their schedule. While they were there, contractor was very professional, and I was very pleased with the results. It was in-between that was not comfortable.

The company contacted me promptly to set up my desired appointment and the technicians, Michael and Yousef, arrived promptly on time and also gave me a call 20 minutes before to let me know they were on their way. Once there, they quickly got to work assessing my air conditioning system ( my house if 13 years old and had never had the air ducts cleaned). They even put on protective booties to ensure that no dirt was tracked into my house :-) I was pleased to be told that my air ducts did not need extensive cleaning at this time, but that there were a couple of "problem" areas that needed to be addressed to be sure that harmful bacterial and fungal issues did not arise in the future. I was presented with my various options to consider, and chose to have the sanitizing/deodorizing treatments applied and the UV light systems installed in my units to ensure that I had the best system in place to prevent future air quality issues. At no point was I pressured into purchasing additional options or upgrades. I was honestly and efficiently presented with my options , and chose the best option for ME at this time ( I have multiple family members with moderate to severe allergies and feel this would be a valuable investment in their health). I really appreciated the honest and straight-forward approach of the technician Michael in his explanation of the entire air conditioning system and the role that excess moisture would play in the creation of various harmful bacteria and fungus. I also am the type to ask TONS of questions, and Michael had an insightful answer for each one of them :-) While there, he also suggested that I have my dryer vent cleaned, as I had never done this since moving in my home. It happened to be a very dangerous fire hazard, and I am grateful that he mentioned this, as I had never considered this to be the primary reason for cleaning. He also reduced the price for the dryer vent cleaning due to the fact that my dryer vent happens to be very short and straight shot to the outside wall, and explained that it would be unethical to charge the full price of a dryer vent cleaning, as mine was a very simple and quick process due to the location of the dryer to the outside walI. Both technicians cleaned up so well, you wouldn't even know they were there! They also identified some minor issues in my cooling line insulation in the attic that might need future attention to prevent any future air loss and/or damage to my house. In a society where we often can't "trust" service industries to give us customers the "true" and honest bottom line, it is refreshing to come across a company that seems to do just that and is truly concerned about the customer's best interest. It is this reason that I will definitely use this company again and again for all my air quality and air conditioning services.

A few minutes after they began they said we had mildew in the ducts. They said it would cost an additional $700 or $800 to get the mildew out. Then they lowered the price to an additional $300 or $400. I was concerned when they offered a high fix and then lowered the cost substantially a few minutes later. I lost confidence in them. We haven't had any problems since but it's only been a month or so. And we have no way to determine whether we really needed this service or if they did an adequate job.

They arrived on time and came back when they were suppose to. When they got here their carpet cleaner would not work and we had to jump it. They got rid off dog spots, but it activated the odor and it smelled like urine. They did come back and get rid of the urine smell, but now it smells musty. We haven't slept in our bedroom since. Also, the game room upstairs smells musty. The carpets look good, but the smell is bad.

The air vents in our rental townhouse unit had probably never been cleaned, were quite filthy.. The gentleman with whom I primarily dealt was very informative. He and his assistant performed the job efficiently and professionally. The air ducts were as made clean as they could be. They also cleaned the coil and other parts of the system and told us what to do to help maintain them longer. Our previous tenant told us she had the carpets cleaned but we could see several stains on the Berber carpet. After these men were trough we could visibly see they had not previously been cleaned well. These men cleaned the carpets as clean as they could be.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for air duct cleaning service. Scheduling was no problem after purchasing the Big Deal online. I got the date/time I was looking for. Two techs, Mike and Yousef, showed up right on time for the air duct cleaning. They were polite, down-to-earth, friendly, and professional. They put shoe covers on before entering my home and took a look at my ceiling vents before starting the air duct cleaning service. It was immediately apparent after shining a flashlight up a few of my vents, that the air lines themselves probably didn't need cleaning, but that the ductboard right behind the air registers had some mold/mildew issues and needed to be treated. The technicians then went into the attic and inspected the HVAC unit and discovered that very large air leaks in the plenum. The evaporator coil was also in need of a good cleaning. I asked for a quote on what would need to be done to treat the mold, repair the plenum, clean the evaporator coil, and disinfect my air circulation system. Mike went to his van and came back several minutes later with a quote which I accepted and they got right to work. Three hours later, they had cleaned, treated, and sealed all ductboard behind all air registers, completely sealed my plenum with mastic, cleaned my evaporator coils, fogged my system with disinfectant mist, installed a Clear Blue Master UV light inside the plenum to kill any organisms trying to grow inside my HVAC unit, and blew two bags of insulation over some empty areas in the attic. Then they completely cleaned up after themselves, I paid, and they left. We were extremely satisfied with the level of customer service provided by the technicians, the work they performed, and the price we paid to have it all done. The price I had paid up front for the air ducts cleaning Big Deal was applied to other work done. I will use Service Express Home Experts in the future.

I would definitely recommend them, and will, to others. They are very professional and clear cut. No haggling or pressure on anything - Mike lays out what he sees and shows you. He even stated that I didn't need to do the full disinfectant now and that he would hold the cleaning deal till later if I needed since I was running the heat and not the AC... Integrity and Great Customer service - rare nowadays but you will find it with them. He showed me everything they found and walked me through - very reasonable and professional. They cleaned up great. Mike is also a dog lover and my dog was totally comfortable around him. I would strongly recommend this company - He found those two with growth and they did need to be cleaned but was straight up that none of the others needed anything. The house smelled clean and fresh after they left and we could immediately notice the difference in our allergies. You will be very pleased with the work that they do. They gave me a time estimate and were right on par. Thanks Mike - great job.

Arrived on time. Very polite and professional. Did a beautiful job. The carpet was a mess from 3 BIG dogs laying around the room and hall. Was surprised how great it looks.

Person came in looked a few of my vents with a flashlight him standing on the floor and just shinning the light up. He told me they all look good and did not need cleaning. He did not even look at any of the 2 filters, which by the way were filthy. was in my home a total of 15 minutes and then asked me to pay him the tax on service ticket. I had already paid the full price online with angie's list and did not understand why I had to give him cash for the tax. I did and them once he left after speaking with my husband I realized this company was a scam. they did not clean my ducks and also had me give them cash. I complained to Angies list and am still awaiting credit for the full service price plus the cash I had to pay. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I feel Angie's list should have them removed from their list. It's scary to think you are letting people that are not honest. Who knows what type of people work for them, and we are letting them in our homes.

They are professional. They showed up on time and were efficient.

They were nice and prompt when it came to coming to my home to take a look. Unfortunatley they told me they couldnt perform the work because the space was too small. They gave me an estimate to do blow in insulation instead. The quote was higher than a different company I received an estimate from for blow in insulation.

They were very efficient and businesli like and were very quiet. At one point asked me to leave the house for a few hours while they were dealing with the mold. I will ask them to come back when it is time to clean again.

These guys are great, showed up on time, very professional and knowledgeable. They are truly good guys, I highly recommend them.

It went really good. The technician was knowledgeable and professional. He showed me where my ducts were leaking and explained to me about the UV lighting would help prevent mold from growing in the ducts in the future. He also offered me a break on replacing all the a/c registers so I took advantage of it. I would definitely use them again. I only knocked them down on price a little because I had to pay quite a bit, but I got more than just a/c duct cleaning and I don't know what another vendor might have charged me for the same services.

The service went very well. I had an appointment and they had to reschedule because they were working on a very involved job which I completely understood. They were very polite.

bought thee $75/unit service. Vents had never been cleaned in 15 years. Had lots of air leaks in ducts, mold growing on one air handler, etc. I knew before they came out the job was going to be bigger than the standard job for $75/unit. They gave estimate and did a thorough job of cleaningeverything.

Our appointment was set for any time between 9:00 and 11:00 am. Michael called at 8:15 to say that they would be here at 9:00. They arrived at exactly 9:00, and finished everything around 10:45. They were very polite, professional and honest. Michael checked the AC vents and the unit and said that they didn't need cleaning. Even though our house is only 4-1/2 years old, we have a lot of fine white dust that appears on the furniture. He explained that because the house is new, it will have dust from the sheet rock installation for some time. Eventually this shouldn't occur any longer. He then said that we should consider having the dryer vent cleaned, which we did. (I had a friend who had a dryer fire caused by lint in the vent.) Michael suggested that we consider a UV light in the AC unit and explained thoroughly it's purpose. Originally we said that we would think about it, but then decided to have it installed. (There was no pressure from Michael.) I would highly recommend Service Express, and we will use them again as needed.

First impressions are always big - my initial contact via phone was great. She was very personable, patient with my questions, and even had a great sense of humor. She listened to what I needed, and asked my schedule - and set up a Sunday morning appt because it was "if I could ask for any time and day, what would it be?" - how great is that! Got a call an hour out by Mike the tech, who arrived promptly at the time set up. Great demeanor. Walked me through everything. I realized I had a bigger issue than a small sweep out of my vents. Mike showed me the algea and bacteria that had developed in the "tubes" - so gross. He explained the "why" and how to stop/prevent it. I have two children under 6 so clean air was what I was after. For him to really clean it out bumped up my estimated cost - but by such a little amount that I was so happy he was willing to do it. I had him install an UV light into my unit to further clean everything. He showed me how to replace the bulb myself so I would not need to have a service call for such a simple procedure. Mike and his brother did such a great job as a team that within 3 hours I had nearly a new system pumping clean air. They cleaned everything up which I read on here was one of their great qualities. I can't tell you how nice they were during the whole thing. Very impressed and extremely happy with the services. Great company from the initial phone call to the waves out the window as they drove away.

This is my experience. After you buy the deal, don't expect a call back and you probably won't get one, so take the initiative and call the provider after a couple of days to discuss scheduling the appointment. make sure you remind them of the service (e.g. I bought 350sqft of blown in insulation deal on angie's list). If you fail to, the first person to come to your house will come probably unprepared i.e. they drive different trucks based on whether you need fiber blow insulation, duct cleaning, etc. In my case, he came and told me they'll have to return because they did not have the correct truck. They could not make the second appointment as someone had called in sick. So they rescheduled. The third time around a supervisor was sent to my house and he only came to verify the square footage! he told me someone will call me back to setup a date again and almost 6 days later, I received the call back. Finally, the appointment date came and they showed up 30 minutes early and were in and out in under 30 minutes. However, as I said, they required me to reconfirm the deal and that it was already pre-paid by printing out the angies list invoice. I was not impressed that they kept reminding me that they were "loosing money on the deal" on angies list and was getting concerned they were not going to honor it. I understood that they were loosing money as the price was lower than buying a bag of insulation alone! So yes, I understood, but it wasn't really nice for each one to repeat that over, an dover again on each visit or phone call. Overall, they delivered and I appreciate that. So for that' I give them high A grade. But I give them C grade for communications.

Outstanding work by the two guys, Mike and Yousef, who came out to work on the system. First off, they were early. They called ahead asking if that would be ok and we were able to set up an earlier time for them to come on out. Originally, I had requested a duct work cleaning. I had some water back up into my A/C unit (drain pipe was clogged), and after my wife and I noticed water dripping from the back up line, we realized that there was a clog. That clog led to water build up, and once we got all of that cleared we noticed mold seeping through the vents. They came out and was able to recognize it right away. With out telling them what had happened, they were able to pin point the root cause of the issue, which was the drainage problem causing water to infest my A/C with mold. They inspected everything and were able to find mold on the unit in the attic as well as mold and growth on all of the vents around the house. They were able to change tactics from what they were originally called out for and we both agreed that a disinfecting as well as an anti bacterial approach would be the best route. They let me know what they were going to do and once we agreed they stared immediately. They were extremely thorough and keep me updated with the process as they went along. Once they were finished they cleaned up and explained to me different techniques that I could utilize in order to get a better air flow throughout the home. Since I have cats, kids, and I am remodeling, I will be looking into getting my duct work cleaned every two years or so. This will be the company that I call on to do that task, and any other work that I may need done.

Contractor showed up and noticed that the air ducts were too clean (new) for them to do anything significant to them. So instead, they applied my coupon toward his cleaning and disinfecting (against allergens and the likes) the duct outlets which were filthy. Was very knowledgable and helpful. Not trying to over-sell. Appreciated that they were honest about the duct cleaning and it not being necessary.

Very responsive and courteous. Upon arrival they looked at ducts & vents in the guest bed room & kitchen and said I had mold and needed a antibacterial fungicide spay to kill the mold at ~$200 extra cost. I agreed and the spraying was performed. After I noticed that the vents in the living room, master bath/bedroom & dining were still dirty. Upon checking them closer, I removed the vents and it appeared the ducts & vents were not cleaned out but only spraying was performed. I should of called the company to voice my concern, however, I got my shop vac and took care of it. Should of checked closely before they left but I didn't. My mistake.

Booked Service Express for the above. They inspected the vents and determined cleaning was not required. We also found that I did not have a dryer vent, just a hose to an external fitting. This was a simple fix for me, and the guys helped cleaning the hose. No charges for either service, which is pretty amazing. Highly recommend a company that only does work when needed.
