Wilson Landscape Design

Two workers and "boss" arrived and we explained what and how we wanted the work done. They made all the additions and changes as requested and did a wonderful job! They do wonderful work and made great suggestions that we asked them to incorporate.

Many emails and date was set. The only fall back was that I sent a message regarding materials needed.and I was suppose to get an email back if the company would bring materials or I would get. The crew arrived without any thing and I had to drive to garden company to pick up materials with supervisor. I don't have a truck to hall 20 bags of dirt and mulch. The did resolve issue quickly.but it would have been a time saver for all if materials had been picked up at the beginning. They did everything I ask and were very neat about there work.

They did a great job, and I'd definitely use them again. DJ was very professional and arranged a face-to-face meeting at my house where we could walk the yard and discuss the projects I wanted completed. Then he mailed me a contract outlining the services and the costs. I chose to do some but not all of the services he bid out for me, and we scheduled a date for them to come do the work. When the crew arrived, they worked hard all day long and did a WONDERFUL job. Antonio and his team were really helpful and responsive to my questions and requests.

The service went pretty well. Took a long time from the initial visit until the services were completed. Everything else was superior.

After a couple of e-mails and a couple of phone calls, I finally heard back from DJ and we were able to schedule a time. Because of a rainy day, we were actually rescheduled for a sooner time. The guys came on time, got the job done quickly and did a great job. I was very happy with the work and the clean-up. .

After contacting Wilson Landscape Design, I got an immediate call back from John Wilson. We set up an appointment for him to come out and take a look at what we wanted to do and take pictures and measurements. He even made some nice suggestions too. We then set up the date for his crew to come out and start working. We did end up having to reschedule our start date due to some heavy rain over a weekend that got them behind on another customer, but he got right back on schedule a couple days later. His crew was out for 5 hours a day for 2 days. We are absolutely thrilled to have water access in our front yard now ... I don't know how we ever did without that! The sodding in the front looks so very neat and has improved the looks of the front yard tremendously. Our back yard looks amazing! We were so use to seeing dirt or mud back in the grassy area all the time, and now it is just beautiful with the ground cover and boulders. My husband is ecstatic with our pool equipment area. He was the one that always had to pull all the weeds and try to keep all that under control back there. It is now neat as a pin, and we love the way they buried our stepping stones to be flush with the gravel. I can't tell you how many times I tripped off the edges of those pavers the way we use to have them. John's crew were very hard working and very skilled at what they do. They took great pride in their work and paid attention to all the details. They left no mess what so ever. It is so wonderful to work with a service company that has such high integrity. John Wilson is a good man with a kind heart, and I would most definitely use them again in the future. In fact, I can't wait to figure out what to do next:) Thanks a million John!

Very slow to respond to the initial call. Showed up at the wrong time the 1st time. Showed up late the second time. Forgot to call ahead to make sure someone was available to meet with them. Once they started the job it was done professionally, quickly, at a good price and looks marvelous.

See above. Additional information: When the guys arrived I was on a lengthy conference call and didn't have a chance to go out and greet them and make sure that they knew what I wanted completed. It would have been nice to receive a return e-mail that they knew what specific tasks I wanted completed. Maybe there wasn't enough time? The guys worked hard! They did everything I had on my list!

Antonio and his crew arrived and started work immediately. (See above). They are very professional, helpful and knowledgeable, and they get a lot done fast. Antonio was great. He did everything I asked, and did a great job. I will call them every time I need something done in the yard. I mean it folks, if you need landscaping done, call Wilson.

Purchased a Big Deal for some much needed flower bed clean out and other minor yard stuff. Before I tell my story, let me say I am VERY happy with the result:-) The greatest challenge was the scheduling. I scheduled immediately after my purchase and did not receive my confirmaiton email. I called the next week & DJ got me on the schedule. There was an issue in that there was a problem with another job that caused there to be no crew availalbe for my work on the scheduled day. My issue was not with this, my issue was that no one called to let me know why there was no crew at my house. I called customer service on Friday, my scheduled day, (before Labor day weekend) at 4:45 PM (after leaving a message for DJ) to ask that someone give me a call. To my pleasant surprise, John (I assume the owner) called at 5:10 PM. He was pleasant, explained what had happened, apologetic and absolutly made the situation right. A crew was at my home the following morning and was willing to stay beyond the agreed upon amount of time I had paid for to make up for my inconvenience. The crew was awesome. Two guys that executed my every direction as well as applying thier expertise to make my yard look fabulous. Multiple neighbors commented immediatly how fantastic the yard looked. My next door neighbor has scheduled service with them as well. I have to say that John took a potenial negative situation and turned it around for a positive experience and outcome. I can't say enough positive things about this company. They first came out last week, while I was out. When I came back, I was not satisfied with what they had done. We had only communicated by email and I think there was just a total miscommunication between us. I contact them and they came back out yesterday. They asked me to explain what I wanted. They started working and 2 hours later all I could say was WOW!! They did what I asked and so much more!! They went over and above on my small job. They were efficient and professional. They cleaned up every single speck of what they trimmed and hauled it away! They were amazing and I will absolutely be using them again!

Hard working crew and quality work! The yard looks great! We are very satisfied.

I bought the Big Deal coupon and had no problem scheduling the job. The owner returned my call the same day and the job was done the next week. The 4 workers and 1 foreman spend 2.5 hours digging the holes and 1.5 hour building the retaining wall. The foreman has no problem speaking English. The job quality is good. It was a 104 degree hot day and digging is a back breaking job, but nobody complained. Overall I am happy with the job and would use them again.

I called Wilson Landscape Design on 09/10/12 @ 10:00AM to have someone come out to give me a quote to add top soil for sinking land and sod on the bare spots in the lawn. DJ called me and said he could be there 9/11/12 and did not give a specific time. Only to say that it would be around 11:00 am. I told him I was available after 10:30AM. He said he would call me around that time. I waited until 12:00 Noon. I called the office and told them if he cannot hold an appointment I do not want your CO working on my Lawn. I said I do not want him to call or show up. They have lost a Potential customer. He said he would call me. . I say if a company is so busy that you cannot commit to a time to do a simple estimate you should get more people. You must have more business than you can handle, You Do Not Need Mine! Because of this, I will not do business with Wilson Landscape, Ever. I give them an” F” for customer service.

DJ is good to talk to if you get him on the phone or to come as I am sure they must be busy which is good for their business. But for me after he came once to see the work that had to be done, it has been difficult to get him on the phone or even for him to get us to call back or responses to his email. Called his office and also checked if he is on vacation and left a note for him for a callback but I am sure he must be busy. Our experience has not been great with regards to responsiveness as after I gave his number to a couple of my friends they too had the same experience. Again, to be clear we have not used his services so it does not reflect on the quality of work.

John Wilson worked with us and designed our retaining wall and walkway exactly the way we wanted it. Great work. The work crew was the hardest working men that we love had.

Punctual, responsive, great work. Would definitely use again.

It started shaky because the dirt was dumped in my neighbors drive way across the street but it was quickly discovered and when the guys came over to start working the first thing they did was get the dirt and cleaned my neighbors driveway.

The project went extremely well. I highly recommend Wilson Landscape Design for the services listed in this review.At first, the communications was a bit slow and delayed, however after talking with DJ I understand that they are (at times) overwhelmed with emails and phone calls for their services. After seeing the quality of the work the crew performed, I see why everyone wants to use Wilson Landscape Design. Once work started things went very smoothly with only a few day delay due to the crew leader's wife having a baby girl but the crew quickly returned to provide execellent service. I had been investigating what materials, construction techiques, do's and don't when doing this type of projects for many years as I had grown up in a commercial/residential construction family as a child. Eventhough my career path took a different turn than construction into Engineering, what I knew was how the work at my house should be performed. I am very happy to say the work performed was performed to the highest standards. Several tasks at my house were done beyond my expectionations. Several smaller detail tasks were performed that were not necessarly spelled out clearly on the estimate with professionalism. During the project, the yard took a beating from the amount of walking and the 4 pallets of pavestone bricks that arrived. However, the crew cleaned up their work at the end of each day, picked up tools and mad the yard as presentable as possible. Trash and debris was picked up and hauled away promptly. After the project was completed, the crew took extra care in cleaning up the yard and the street where the pile of base materials, sand, and other construction materials were used. The yard was cleaned up and the patio was hosed off and looking fantastic. With the new sod that was put down, some of the sod looked 'dead' but Wilson Landscape Design said to water the grass (by hand) twice a day. In no time the grass was growing like crazy. Even the portions I thought were dead are growing with new growth. For the next several days after the project was completed, I received several complements from neighbors and friends on the additions and changes to the house.

Overall, it went well. emailing the requested services in advance helped get it done as planned. 2 guys, 3 hours each got a lot done that would of taken us much more time and a lot of sweat to do.

There was a bit of miscommunication at the beginning, but, as usual, John Wilson went the extra mile to put everything right. This is a wonderful company to deal with. Very personable and very professional. Crews are very hard working and waste no time. John Wilson was good to his word and replaced my damaged river birch with a lovely multi-trunk river birch

I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and, based on my experience, confidently recommend Wilson Landscaping.

Overall, the experience was fine. We were very happy and we didn't have any problems.

I have yet to hear from John Wilson to give an overall performance, but what I have received so far is nothing for the money I spent except him showing up and wasting my time and money.
