Wilson Landscape Design

They were very accommodating to our schedule, and they completed all of the work we requested (clean up and bag leaves from yard and trim hedges) for the time allotted.

I bought the Deal in January and contacted them immediately afterwards and set up an appointment for 8 weeks in advance. I tried contacting them several times afterwards to confirm the appointment and also explain what work I wanted done. I didn't hear back from them for a long time, until I got a brief call back explaining to leave my requests on their website. This morning they were supposed to show up first thing but no one did and no one is answering their phone. I called the office and was directed to a call center and the person I spoke with had no information about their schedule, or who was coming to my home. They don't seem very professional instead I called someone else to come and do the work.

The job went very well. My wife and I are very pleased with the new look. We have used Wilson Landscape Design for of landscape needs and are always impressed with the final product.

I was very happy with the purchase. The company was very fast to respond and setup and date to come out. They arrive a little late but I understand those things can happen. Once we went over what it was we wanted them to do they got right to work. I did not realize how much work they could fit into 1 hour but I am super happy with our decision to use this company and everyone was so friendly. They mowed, edged, moved plants around for us, removed plants we wanted to get rid of and cleaned up the leaves all over the yard. Our yard has never looked so good. :)

They arrived as scheduled and worked diligently the entire time. Scheduling the coupon work was great also - all done via email. We would absolutely use them again.

The job was small yet they bid in almost $2000 for Job Had the same job done 18 months ago and was only 700 The Bid did not include any break out of what each item cost. I asked for the details and the response also did not include any details SO ... I sent an email to the support email address and it came back mailbox full retried a week later ... Same issue. I guess you get where I am headed with this

I am extremely disappointed in Mr. Wilson's professionalism and follow through with promises. If one is too busy, please communicate with your customers and ackowledge your delay etc. Had Mr. Wilson just told me he had too much work and couldn't do work for me at this time, that is completely understandable. I was in the process of getting different bids and was wanting to compile estimates before I moved forward with the landscaping. Mr. Wilson was aware I was waiting on him, and after several attempts to find the delay, I was unsuccessful in effective communication.

They removed 3 large shrubs and did a great job! Definitely will consider Wilson's for future work.

Absolutely TERRIBLE! We did an Angie's List Coupon for this landscaping company for "8 man hours". We were not thinking that 3 guys were going to come for 2 hours each. After waiting an hour and 1/2 after the time they promised they'd be at my house, they finally arrived. They stayed two hours and our pansies looked pretty good. Two days later, when our sprinklers went off, we noticed the men had punctured the soaker hose. We called Mr. Wilson, the owner, who does not return a call within 48 hours, to finally come out. He sent his guys to check the sprinklers when we werent even home. No notice, just a message from my mom that they came by while she was sitting for our son. Four months later, the soaker hoses have yet to be fixed. Wilson Landscaping is by far the worst company I have ever used in our new home. If you are looking for a deal, I would look somewhere else. Thank you Wilson Landscaping for making us go back to Angies List and find another landscaper to FIX your work. Atrocious.

They cheerfully agreed to work in my yard then NEVER SHOWED UP! So I made another appointment--NO SHOW AGAIN! I called them back and the man was apologetic, even laughed at the misunderstanding and promised a crew would come--BUT NO ONE EVER CAME! These people have cost me three days of waiting. If I used their time for three days, I bet I'd have to pay them...I told Angie's list this story complete with dates and times they were expected. Angie's people said to fill out the computer form they would send me. I said I didn't know how. Tough luck for me again. One year later I still don't have my money back. Save your time and just throw your money in the trash. I now believe that their humor was directed at me for thinking that they would ever show up.

They arrived on time and worked non stop until my yard front and back looked fantastic!

I was very happy with the work done. My backyard looks beautiful now. They got the work done in a good amount of time, and the price was lower than what I was expecting.

They created a great design, and the work was done promptly and professionally. We will definitely use them again!

I talked with a gentleman over the phone and we both agreed on the services that were to be performed. They showed up on time and began working on my trees. After a fairly long time, the job was still unfinished. When I inquired as to why it was taking longer than expected, they explained their chainsaw had broken. They had to return at a later date to finish the job. There seemed to be a general lack of communication. The end result was satisfactory, but it was a bumpy road to get to that point.

They came out to do the walk through and did a great job of letting us know what we needed to purchase to complete the job. Then we scheduled the job and they came on that day. They did a great job, installing a winding path, filling it in with decomposed granite and putting in edging to keep grass and weeds out. They put down landscaping cloth under it as well. They also trimmed back bushes, cleaned out some flower beds and generally did a fantastic job. The hard and pathway looked great and it looks great today as well. They emailed and said they didn't quite use up the hours of work I had purchased. This is amazing since we were not home and would not have known when they came and left. That shows real honesty right there. They said we had about 3 hours of work on our time and what else did we need? I sent a detailed email of what we wanted. That was great. We went back and forth on the schedule and then I was out of town so it was right before Christmas when we tried to get the work rescheduled. We hit a little snag there; my email apparently didn’t get into the right hands. We scheduled a day, then another but with the holidays something must have come up and we didn’t get anyone to finish the work. We kept trying and finally scheduled a day. My husband took off work to meet them and explain what we needed. The crew was late from finishing another job, they were stuck in traffic and finally my husband gave up and went on to work. When we got home, they had come but the work wasn’t really what we had asked for. We wanted to extend the path with some left over stone. It wasn’t where we wanted it, but it did look nice and they cleaned up some beds in the back yard as well so we just left it. Over all they did WAY more work for the money than I would have thought and we will use them again.

I spent more than the coupon. They did a very good job on the masonry for the path which is their prime work; they are a construction company and they also do landscaping. I had them do landscaping design. I ended up just using them to fix the irrigation and do the walk-way. They were a little bit more expensive on the landscaping side than I expected.

I won't use them because they had to come back twice to what I asked them to. I had to call them and tell them, "you didn't do what I asked you to do," and they had to come back but still didn't trimmed the trees and the bushes like I wanted so. I asked them to come and raised up the leaf in my yard and I have some bushes that I wanted trimmed back and they didn't even go in my backyard the first time they came and they just did the front while I asked them to do the front and the back and I had already raised up most of the leaf myself, all they had to do is break up some of them and put it in a bag and I wanted the bushes trimmed and they didn't do it. There was still leaf in the yard, so I called them and they came back but still didn't trim the bushes but they cut the leaves off from the tree on my front yard that I didn't asked them to do anything to it. The yard service that used is get ready to come and mow my yard, so I needed them to come and clean up the yard. The price was okay. I talked to the guy on the phone, he was apologetic.

Smooth from beginning to end

These folks did and amazing job -- they cleaned years of leaves and debris from the yard without getting anything in the pool. The yard was seriously neglected for years. They spent all day and had what looked like a hundred bags of leaves and debris nicely piled and ready for bulk trash day. The yard looks amazing -- Great Job!

Due to the overwhelming number of people that purchased this deal, I did have some difficulty in scheduling the landscape design assesment. However, I was patient and Wilson Landscape was very flexible with scheduling the design analysis. They came out on my off day and performed the design analysis. They did a great job listening to what I like and including those types of plants in the design. I was very pleased with the design.

I was not very happy with their service. What I got from them was a design like from somebody who is in sixth grade. I actually gave them a copy of the plot of our place, but they did not even use that to make the landscape design. I asked for a hardscape plan but they did not include any of that. Basically what they did was some circles where they clipped little initials on the hand-drawn circle and various __1:41 spot from the landscape. I was not happy with their service, so they made many hardscape plans that I asked for. Basically, what they said was they wanted me to sign a contract before they do anything more than this. They sent me an e-mail with probably a few circles on each sheet of paper for different sections of my yard which has the concept put together, and that is what I wanted them to do. When I tried to call them to get something more out of them, it was not much worth much coming. I gave up and did it myself.

They provided us to do landscape design and then we went with them to do the design, and we were not very happy with them. They came out with a design, told us what they were planting, but since we do not know plants from Calabogie, we thought okay that sounds great and then when they planted they planted things that overgrew the space and this was not a very good design whatsoever. So, then they came back out, we were going to do the aeration of the lawn and they told me that they would bring back grasses, because some of those plants were in warranty for a year and we never heard back from them. I thought they were professional, it is just I do not really think they knew what they were doing as far as landscape design. I guess the guy came out several times to look and I do not think he knew what he was doing, and then he just never called me back. There price was good, because we had a couple of other bids, but what we got I guess afterwards was not worth it, because the stuff they planted they planted three or four same items in one spot and there was not really any kind of a variety.

The crew arrived and we talked about what I would like done. They got right on the tasks and completed everything to my great satisfaction within the timeframe allotted. Great job, nice people, and good experience.

t Used Wilson for landscape design to get a handle on my huge blank slate of a back yard. I purchased the Angie's List deal on Jan 6 or 7... They sent paperwork for me to fill out, which I returned the next day, and said they would contact me soon. I think I waited a week, maybe two.... I didn't think too much of it, since it was an amazing deal with an undoubtedly large response. Eventually, though, I did call to get a time frame for scheduling. At this point, they booked an appointment and sent someone out fairly promptly. The designer who came out was very prompt and very nice. We talked for a long while, and seemed to be generally on the same page. After our discussion, I left him to do measurements, etc. I was a little surprised when he left without circling back with me, but again did not think too much of it. I waited two weeks, and then phoned to get a status on my design. Let me say that at this point I did not necessarily expect my design to be complete. I have a large space that needs a lot of help! Not having been given any kind of time frame for this process, I had called at this point for some kind of status. My design was e-mailed to me that day (Feb 5). I was generally pleased with the design I received, except that one entire fence line was left untouched. I e-mailed the designer and asked if that was intentional. He hadn't remembered us discussing that side, but would revise the design (Feb 7). I had begun a new job at this point, so landscape design was put on the back burner, but by March 1, I e-mailed again to see if the revision had been completed. The designer returned the e-mail right away and thought he had sent it already; he e-mailed it shortly thereafter. This was a *great* deal and the issue I had with it got resolved professionally. I do wish I had not had to follow up *quite* so much; I hope that to be an anomaly due to volume rather that standard procedure. I am generally pleased with my design and may use them for some installation in the future.

(I had an appointment with DJ Quitadamo on Jan 28 at 11am. When he hadn't arrived by 11:30 I called. he had forgotten about the appointment . He arrived at my home about 1pm. He was very pleasant and had ideas using ground covers, water features and other amenities I wanted. He said they had a lot of response to the Big Deal so I probably wouldn't get anything back from them for 2-3 weeks. He said he would include a menu of options with prices for us so that we could do the work in stages. I called DJ on Mar 1 because I hadn't heard from them. He said he thought the work had been done and sent to me some time ago and he would check on it when he returned to the office later in the afternoon. When he still did not call at the end of the day, I emailed my displeasure. I received a reply email in about an hour with a "plan" attached. It is the most amateurish sketch I have seen. It looks like it was done on a piece of note paper! None of the ideas we discussed were included. Existing features are not accurately depicted, none of the concerns I had were addressed, nothing about the drainage, soil,shade, privacy, etc. No prices for services. It is as if the conversation had never taken place. There is NOT ONE thing on this sketch that I can use! In fact it is mostly illegible. I was so disappointed i cried from anger! I have received Nothing at all for my money. Nothing!! I have been pleased with other Big Deals I have purchased. I will be much more careful in the future. Angies LIst referrals are not infallible either. If I had just burned a $100 bill, at least I would have a pile of ash. As it is, I have NOTHING!!!
