Description of Work: Kevin did a thorough measuring of our entire foundation and noted the measurements on a hand drawn layout of our foundation. There were no issues requiring repairs and no cost for his service. He also sent me info on proper foundation watering processes to help maintain the integrity of our foundation.

Description of Work: They came to our home and observed the damage to tile floors and to walls at window frames. They measured the house. The foundation was not sinking, but one corner was rising due to the frequent rains on our clay soil. The wet clay was actually lifting one corner. | |They made a map of the house with the measurements that they left with me. Since no piers were needed they did not charge me at all! They left a phone number for a reputable person to install a french drain to improve drainage on that side of the house. | |Unbelievably good service! Price unbeatable!

Description of Work: The engineer who I was told would inspect before and after the leveling never went under my pier and beam home. He only took measurments after the work was done. Their fee was $550. A-1 replaced the wood shims and adjusted one door to close.

Description of Work: Installed 10 piers around one side of my house. They arrived on time with a dozen or so workers and were completed in one day- really amazing how fast it went.

They provided the results of their review the same day, along with their recommendations to minimize foundation issues. Currently asking for pricing on their recommendations.

Description of Work: A-1 installed 10 piers to rectify foundation issues. | |Overall we had a great experience with A-1. |They visited us promptly and gave us a very detailed evaluation of our issues and a very competitive quote. |Only time will tell, but they seem to stand by their work with a full guarantee to fix any re-occurrence of the problem. | |They arranged all the work with the other parties (structural engineers and plumbers) to do pre- and post-inspections. | |Everything went very smoothly and the engineers confirmed that all is well again with our foundation. | |We had one issue on the day the work was done - their quotation stated that "We will transplant shrubbery at the point of installation but we can not guarantee that it survives." Description of Work: Repaired my pier and beam foundation including a twisted beam, mis-aligned piers, and reshimmed all piers with steel shims. I did have to have them realign several doors in my hallway before they left. But they did so without any issues. They stated they installed an additional beam without any extra charge but I haven't been under the house to confirm. They use an outside engineer to confirm their plans to repair and to confirm that the work was done correctly. This is something any previous contractor has not included in their estimates. I'll use them again.

Description of Work: Awesome job! The price was way better than anyone else we contacted and way better than any other companies used by neighbors in our neighborhood. They arrived at 8 am and were done with 14 piers by 1pm. They didn't kill the groundcover or bushes. They were fast and professional. An engineer came to confirm their findings after their initial recommendation and quote. A plumber came after the job was done to check plumbing and there was no damage to the system at all! One final inspector came - they took a lot of care for this job! We are 100% satisfied with the work and the company. We highly recommend A-1 Foundation Repair.
