Jeff Kattner was very knowledgeable and helpful. He provided us with very useful information on maintaining the area around the foundation. He also referred us to a plumbing company to inspect our drainage and followed up.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and they were fine. They were both very polite.

They came out about a week after I initially contacted them. We started to see a few cracks in the tile and ceiling so I wanted them to check elevations and give me advice on watering. The inspector was friendly and helpful. They sent me a document about watering a day or two later (the doc was moderately helpful, you could find similar information online), but it was helpful to see which areas were sinking the most (and thus needed the most watering).

Kevin was very insightful and thorough. He explained the potential issues I may have and ways of mitigating any future problems. He took height measurements of the floors and determined the areas where I need to focus on. He came across as trustworthy and knowledgeable.

He was very professional. He answered all my questions. He showed up on time. It was just a very good experience all the way around.

He was very professional and helpful. I highly recommend A-1 to anyone needing any opinion/repair to their home foundation. I have recommended A-1 to 2 people who want just 'peace of mind' or actual home foundation repair. He was not rushed or demeaning by my lack of knowledge regarding foundation upkeep.

Agreed for foundation company to do work. Ask for insurance and contract to start. over two weeks have gone by, and no response from contractor. Plan to use some one else. Very slow customer service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. The guy was professional and knowledgeable. He did a great job. He gave a lot of good information. It was A service. The price was good because I got the deal. He worked with me to coordinate the work. He really took the time to explain everything to me. I was pretty happy with it. I would definitely use him again.

It was good. They came in on time and they did an inspection and they gave me a quote. I didn't get the work done yet. I got quotes from a couple other companies and then I'm going to decide between one of those companies. They were very thorough. The inspection report they emailed back to me a couple of days later seemed like a really nice, well prepared, professional-looking report. I would recommend them.

Everything went wonderful. Jeff and Kevin were very friendly and extremely helpful. They gave us advice on what to do with the plants and dirt around our foundation. They also showed us where to place the soaker hose and how often to water. They went in the house and garage and checked the elevation at different points. They determined that our foundation has a gentle slope downward from the front of the house to the back. They told us this was fine and that all homes have a natural slope. They also said that our foundation was sound. They did recommend a company to help us with our existing drainage system and possible irrigation system that would include foundation preventative watering.

It was great! They were amazing. I was in a time crunch because I am trying to get my house refinanced and didn't realize I had to have the foundation fixed before I can finish this. They worked with me to get the work done as quickly as possible. They were on time and got right to work, and finished much faster than I expected. I cannot stress enough how pleased I am with their service.

Kevin drew a diagram of our home and wrote a detailed report on our foundation and how to better water and protect our it. We were very appreciative of his advice and have been following his directions faithfully. A huge liveoak tree in our front yard is drinking up moisture in our front yard causing the driveway to sink so we are going to do what Kevin suggested. This company did what they advertised they would do. It was obvious he wasn't out to get a job, he was here to give us advice and to guide us as to what we should do with our situation. He's an honorable man and we are very pleased with his company and also with the high quality of companies and people we have used with Angie's List.

He was very well informed and experienced concerning pier foundations. Was able to give details concerning the foundation and what would be required to repair.

I got a copy of the inside levels, but not the outside levels to help me know how to drain from under the house better. The service guy was great.

There are many horror stories about foundation repair company rip-offs because the average person is not qualified to determine if work is needed and, if so, to what extent. We just bought our house in June and knew there was some minor settling of the foundation. I purchased an inspection from Angie's List for an inspection. We prepared ourselves for the worst of news. However, there are honest businesses still left!! Kevin came to our home and explained what he would do to assess the amount of settling. He explained everything he was doing. He spent almost two hours with me. He pointed out areas to watch and what to watch for. At the end of the inspection he advised me to not do anything at this point because what settling has occurred over the last 3 decades is not serious enough to warrant foundation work. He carefully explained to me how I should be watering the foundation to prevent additional settling. He sent me a drawing of our house with all measurements noted along with an instruction brochure about proper watering. Kevin definitely lost money on this job. The time he spent driving to my home, inspecting and explaining my situation, followed up by sending me a drawing of my house cost him much more in time than the $55 I paid for the inspection through Angie's List. I am sure Angie's List gets a portion of the coupon for marketing it. A person of less character would have come up with some needed foundation repair work. Kevin gets A++++++ for his honesty. If I do need foundation work in the future A1 Foundation Repair will get the job!! I have already recommended him to a person at work who may need their foundation stabilized. I was extremely pleased with the service - I hadn't realized how thorough they would be with the inspection - or how much of a 'dog lover' Kevin is - he even followed up with an e-mail, which included notes from out conversation, and also a copy of the plot drawing. In his e-mail, he made mention of my dogs, and said he missed them already - a wonderful, personable professional!

It was good. They took a little while to schedule the visit but I wasn't in a hurry. When they came out, they were here maybe an hour or so. They had a lot of good information. They used some sort of electronics to measure the house. They said it was all within some sort of parameters. It wasn't sinking anywhere; it was within 1/2-inch, or something. They inserted some soaker hoses to keep things moist around the foundation and they left. They did seem to know what they were talking about. They did not seem like they were trying to make work because I do have some sidewalk kind of stuff that's obviously sinking a little bit. They didn't say like, "Oh yeah, we've got to come fix that." or anything. It was reassuring. They were fine, pleasant, and nice. They were on time.

Kevin came out today to look at my foundation. There is some slight foundation issues resulting in cracked tile, etc. But Kevn suggested having drip lines installed than doing foundation work. I'll wait and see how it goes for 6 weeks and if I still have a problem would use them. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and the fact that he did not try to sell me an expensive service I may not need.

They are absolutely fantastic!!! Everything was utterly professional, efficient and on time - from the initial email and phone call to showing up at my door. They spent about 1 hour in and around the house (including the going over the results time). They explained to me how I should water the one part of the foundation that is a bit low; I was relieved that nothing major was found. I recommend this company wholeheartedly; they are knowledgeable and trustworthy professionals who do not push unnecessary services or repairs while providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment plans. Excellent from every angle.

Kevin should up on time and professionally went about checking our home for any foundation problems. After seeing that there were no problems, he outlined how we could avoid having any problems in the future. He followed up with an e-mail that provided his recommendations as well as a schematic of our home with elevations.

Kevin arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He took enough time, but did not waste time in getting the job done. He clearly knows his business well and knew just what to look for and how to diagnose and detect any problems. After he left, he sent us a thank you email with our schematic drawing attached. We can use that against future measurements to see if the house is shifting. And when we do need that service again, we'll be calling A-1 again!!!

For a 50+ year old house the foundation was in good shape; no major problems. They gave us a layout of our foundation with the various elevations. they also gave us recommendations on how to maintain/care for the foundation, tree removal recommendations and plumbing recommendations. They also gave recommendations for when we want to remodel our kitchen/bath area, where to put another set of piers and a beam. When that time comes, we will be calling them back!!

I could have called and gotten an extimate for free. This coupon deal to evaluate the foundation for a fee is just short of a rip off. I got two other evaluations at no cost. If you read the evaluations for these guys, most are for the evaluations, but very few are for actual foundation work. This skews the ratings and should be subdivided.

It was fine. I paid for the service that was offered online and they came the following week and did an inspection. They didn't charge anything extra. I like that I don't have any complaints for them, they showed up on time so that was a great starting point and they provided the report as promised. They kept their word and did what they said they were going to do.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Everything went good. It took him a week to come out because he had a backlog with appointments from of the deal. He was very thorough.
