A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair

Initial contact was made but representative indicated they were busy and did I need service fast. Was willing to be flexible so said contact me when they could perform service. Response was "will do". It's now 39 days later and no followup. That isn't what I mean by flexible.

Got the estimate. Held off at this time.

He inspected our foundation and found that the work done prior to our move-in was done correctly. The inspection only took a couple of hours. It was easy to schedule with him too - I had to reschedule once and he was flexible. He was prompt to our appointment. He gave us a few suggestions for our watering plan as well that were very helpful.

It went really well. The pricing and quality were both good. They cleaned up well after the work was complete. I would recommend to others.

They arrived on time. The crew was very efficient and went right to work. I am still amazed that it only took one day. The actual raising, once the piers were in place, was very interesting to see. They rechecked the measurements and I tested the doors that wouldn't close properly before. They now close as they should. Once I was satisfied, they replaced all my things around the house and filled in the holes. I was happy with their clean-up. This was one job that I was dreading and they made it relatively painless. I recommend them.

The staff came to my house on time, check the foundation around the house, and did measurement inside the house to make sure everything is fine. He answered all my questions in detail and suggested to remove a tree to prevent future problems. Very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

I bought a special through Angie's List for A1 Foundation Repair to perform a foundation inspection. Their representative, Kevin, showed up about 10 minutes early and was extremely courteous, friendly and professional. He did an inspection and slab survey. He also addressed some concerns I had about foundation movement. We do not appear to have an issue, but do need to water more consistently. Kevin helped me understand how to go about doing this properly and what to look for. I had heard of the general idea, but my understanding was incomplete, especially with a steep slope along one side of the house. Now, I hopefully have a good watering plan in place and will not need repairs in the future. The survey was sent to me in a timely way and I will have it as a reference if there is need to look at it again in the future.

They were great, professional and were very helpful. He walked through and around the house and helped us understand all the potential issues that could come with foundation shifts as well as what we should do to prevent it going forward. Great service, great value!

They were really friendly and gave me good advice- they suggested waiting to see if the new watering plan would be enough. I later hired them to do foundation work.

I learned not to buy the Big Deal before speaking with the service provider through this. We contacted them and they were booked out for several weeks and we needed the work done quicker than that. They were nice enough to get something on a Saturday to do it quicker but they never showed up for that visit. They missed their appointment scheduled and they said they wouldbe at our home on a Saturday. We had to call just to find out they were not coming. The lady on the phone was very nice to work with. Every time that I sent a message it would take a couple of days to get a response. The phone help was professional and the inspector failed to follow through so he was not.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. He gave me a couple of planners, and said that if it doesn't work, I should call him back in 3 months. He was friendly, he gave a look around, he sent me a follow up email with the map of my property, and he didn't try to upsell anything.

Inspected my foundation and gave me a quote to repair.

He gave me a plan to use a soaker hose and where I need to add water to bring the foundation up. He even sent me an email of how to use the hose correctly and included a drawing of the foundation so that I can see where the problems were. I called to have a new scan of the PDF drawing, but they never did call back on that. I'll give them a call about that.

Had trouble getting appointment, probably due to their busy season but once connected went very smoothly. The tech was very courteous and professional. I really appreciate that he was honest with me and letting me know that nothing needed to be done at this time. He also provided tips on watering for my area. Would definitely use them again.

Jeff Kattner, was one of 6 companies to quote the job. He was very through in his measurements and diagrams. After selecting A1 Guaranteed Foundation, an independent structural Engineer came to the house to verity their plan. We have zero lot lines in my neighborhood and over half of the work was conducted in my neighbor's yard. The job was completed in 2 days as planned. A total of 22 piers were placed and 2 existing piers were adjusted. Cew chief Lewis and his crew arrived both days on time and started work immediately. On the first day all of the piers were dug and pressing of the concrete cylinders were pressed into place. The chimney was left overnight with multiple hydraulic jacks in place. Next day Jeff returned to personally supervise the lifting of the foundation. He directed each stroke of the jacks to uniformly lift until it met target. After the lift was completed and shims were in place, all of the crew left except 3 men. They remained to fill each hole, tamped the dirt and concreted the garage and sidewalk holes. They removed all of the extra dirt into their trailer. Job completed by 4:30 pm. All clean and the soil was leveled. My neighbor and I were pleased. Three weeks later the engineer returned and conducted measurements and inspected the work completed. The Engineering company issued the Engineering Report. To finalize the project a plumbing company conducted a plumbing test to determine if there was water or sewer pipe leaks. His report completed the warranty requirement from A1-Guarantee foundation. Over all very pleased with their work.

It went well. We would recommend them to others. It was a good value and they had good customer service.

I need an engineering report for the foundation, but after I bought the coupon I learned that they don't provide such report. So I have requested to refund the $55 coupon.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out fine. I did not pay anything other than the big deal purchase. They seemed to be pretty thorough. They were honest as to what I needed and what I did not need.

Kevin was very easy to work with, very thorough and spent a great deal of time answering questions and double checking everything. At the end of the day I definitely got some solid advice here... some of it was common sense, but a lot of good nuggets of information specific to my home too. I think the part that impressed me the most was the work ethic - Kevin spent several hours on this when he could have probably fulfilled his obligation with a half hour of work... but he took the time to address my concerns, double check and provide the best advice that he could. Kevin didn't feel my home required any work, so I can't rate his actual foundation repair.. but I can vouch for his honesty, expertise in this area and credibility.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. He told me some things, so for what I paid for the deal, I am satisfied. I had good service and he reported what he thought I needed to do. All in all I am fine with the experience.
