A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair contacted me shortly after I purchased the deal for the Foundation Inspection and Watering Plan to set up an appointment. They were great about responding quickly to calls/emails. The guy who came out to do the inspection (sorry--can't remember his name!) was really nice and very informative. He was patient and answered all my questions. Turns out the foundation isn't too bad yet, gave us instructions on how to even out the moisture, which should solve the problems we've been having with cracking concrete and bathroom tiles, and sticking doors. Overall would definitely recommend this company.

Kevin arrived at my home and did a thorough inspection of my home, measuring and securing precise information on key indicators of the status of my foundation. Within a short period of time he told me the visible problems in my garage were not a result of the foundation but rather from lack of appropriate preparation of the sheetrock during the tape and bedding process when it was built. This has been verified by another independent commercial builder this week. Kevin however did find an area of my house that has the potential for becoming a problem unless I address it with changes to my water sprinkling system. Within less than 24 hours he advised me there would no charge for his visit and sent me a handsome professionally drawing from which the sprinkler system company can easily work. How many companies are willing to do this? Not many in my opinion. If my home ever does develop problems, I will definitely contact this company because I trust them to tell me the truth.

Kevin was great! Very friendly and VERY thorough. He is going to email me the foundation plan of my house and I will contact a sprinkler/irrigation system company to come install a drip system to water the foundation. He provided me with exact measurements of my house and went over the floor plan so I could see where the measurements were off a bit. I will take his recommendation and install the drip system to see if that will correct the problem. The nice thing is that I now have a reference point to go from in the future.

I didn't think I had foundation problems, but wanted to have a few things checked. They were very informative and thorough in explaining potential issues and how to prevent them. I have not yet received the watering plan that was supposed to be included with the inspection, but with it being the holidays, I'm willing to be a bit forgiving. Will contact them about it next week.

The gentleman that came out was very professional and knowledgeable. I am planning on using the company to repair my foundation after the holidays.

He showed up on time and was professional. Took readings throughout the house and determined that though there were some minor issues, there were no serious foundation troubles. He recommended that given the contour of our property, the most effective thing to do in the short term was a foundation watering system. This would go a long way to head off foundation trouble in the years to come. I was especially impressed by the fact that the company he is with does not do foundation watering. It made me feel like this was an honest, reliable opinion--recommending a product that you don't even offer. The only downside was that he indicated that he would e-mail me the results of the elevation measurements. He had them all written down on the diagram he drew, he just had to scan and e-mail it. He never did, but I'm not too worked up about that. Overall I was satisfied with the experience.

They did a good job. But we got a second opinion and they disagreed with what this company said about repairing our foundation.

He was very professional and responsive to our questions. We would use them again in the future.

He was very thorough in his measurements and compared some previous measurements that I had from an engineering report. He also provided information on installing soaker hoses around the house to help in the elevations. Kevin was very helpful and spent a good amount of time in explaining things to me. I will definitely call A1 if I need to have foundation repair!!

I had requested for an inspection of the foundation at my home. Kevin arrived on time. He explained a lot of details on the foundation and told me what to look out for. He did a thorough inspection took the readings and as promised sent me a copy of the information the very same day.

I called the A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair office to request an estimate. The person I spoke with was pleasant and professional. She took the time to explain that due to a recent heavy influx of business they were having to make appointments for estimates a week or two. My situation was not an emergency so I was okay with that. I received a call from them a day before the appointment to confirm. On the appointment day, Kevin Proctor, the A-1 estimator, phoned to let me know he was on his way. Kevin arrived promptly on time. I showed him where my driveway and walkway to the porch had settled a few inches and explained my concerns. I fully expected to hear him tell me I was facing thousands of dollars in repairs. (I had already had another company tell me they would replace my driveway for several thousand dollars.) What a relief it was to hear Kevin tell me right off that there is nothing wrong with my foundation; and just to make sure, he did a thorough walk around the entire house and checked everything. After his inspection Kevin explained to me to me that the clay soil under my driveway had compacted due to the hot summer weather and a lack of water. He was very tactful and never once criticized me or made me feel stupid. Instead, he gave me advice on how to keep the perimeters better watered, and he made suggestions for improving my irrigation system. He also told me what indicators to look for if I suspect actual foundation problems in the future. Kevin Proctor was knowledgable, professional, and friendly; and, of course, his integrity was impeccable. Because of my lack of foundation knowledge he could have sold me a lot of work, but he did not. As a result, if or when the time comes that I need foundation work on my house, I will not hesitate to call A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair.

Kevin arrived on time. He was very professional, courteous and polite to my family. He explained to us what to expect and what he planned to do. After I showed him around the house, he promptly retrieved his equipment and began to work. Kevin was very thorough and performed his work to our satisfaction. After he finished his work, he explained to us his findings. He offered to come back at no charge when the builder came to ensure the problem was mitigated to code. I would use A-1 foundation again in the future.

Very, very good communication regarding scheduling in difficult circumstances. Final written report could have been more professionally produced.

Also gave suggestions to prevent foundation issues. Pretty basic information but useful for people that are not very observant or outside often enough to see the first signs of foundation issues. Worth the money but wouldn't be willing to pay anymore for the information I received.

Before he left he said he would email me the watering information and a drawing of our foundation that weekend. I received the email promptly as he promised. I would recommend and use them again.

Jeff was very prompt and professional. He did a thorough job of measuring the elevation of all points of the foundation to look for any signs of needed repair. The results showed that the foundation is adequately level, and no repairs are needed; we just need to start making sure the foundation gets watered to prevent lack of water from shrinking the ground under the foundation. While that is not something this company does, they do recommend where to go (generically) and what to do. Well worth the cost to hear that my foundation is in good shape, and what to do to keep it that way.

After he performed his inspection he gave me some very clear information on what he found. I could actually get by doing nothing except cutting down a tree. I never expected this from a foundation repair company. His suggestion was that I finish putting piers around one small area of the house that had not been repaired before but he made it very clear it was not an absolute necessity. He also took the time to explain what had been causing the problems and what steps I could take to alleviate them in the future. I will be having them do the work so I can get on with further remodeling projects.

Services were performed as promised in the Big Deal promotion. Kevin Proctor arrived promptly and examined our home both inside and out. He measured our rooms and spoke to us about proper watering of our yard. We were sent further instructions regarding watering by email.

I thought it went very well. Jeff was right on time. He got right down to work measuring elevations around the house and showing me some of his concerns. He said he would like to schedule us a plumbing test for free to see if there is any water underneath the house that could be causing some issues. He worked hard and seemed very thorough . We live in an area with a lot of foundation issues so we are just wanting to get on some preventative maintenance so that our issues don't become bigger problems down the road. Jeff sent us a couple page watering ideas that will help tremendously.

They were very punctual, showing up exactly as agreed. The inspector gave me a run down on what he was looking for, and reassured me that he was there just to sell me something. After completing the inspection he showed me where the trouble spots were, and stated that HE DIDN'T THINK FOUNDATION WORK WAS APPROPRIATE AT THIS TIME. Instead he said that the problem could most likely be controlled through attentive watering. He walked me through the proper water techniques and showed me how to check for proper water content in the soil. He stated that if, after proper watering and a wet winter, the problem had not resolved, he would then recomment piers under the garage. I found his honesty refreshing. It is great to find a company willing to tell you that you DON'T need their services.

So far we have had 6 other companies do estimates and talk about our foundation issues we choose A-1 simply because they sound very educated about what they are doing and other companies we had didnt really seem like they knew what they were even talking about. We had one company to come and tell us we needed work done to a section of the home that 5 other companies said there were no issues at all and guest what they had the highest price out of the 6 who came. Its very important who you choose to do foundation work to your home because if any section of the home is raised to high it will cause problems else where around the home that WILL NOT be covered by company simply because thats not what they work on. "That what A-1 educated us on when they were doing our estimate, we are on the books for Jan 6th 2013 to get the job done, will let you know how it goes.
