A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair

Awesome experience! Kevin came out and spent quite a bit of time explaining the ins and outs of foundation 101. He answered all my questions and surprisingly, decided additional piers weren't what I needed. Most foundation companies are less than reputable but I have nothing but respect for A-1. And when it's time for more foundation work, they've got my business. In fact, I've already sent my Mother their information to have them come out and fix hers!

I had them scheduled out initially, but they ended up running late to the appointment. I had another appointment I needed to go to so they were not able to come that day. I plan on rescheduling the appointment. They were very flexible ad easy to get in contact with.

They arranged a time and kept the appointment. They were professional and did not try to sell me service that I did not need.

The service went pretty well. I ended up purchasing the repairs based on their recommendations. I thought the additional fees were very reasonable. The company was friendly; however, I was surprised they were not able to do a sewer check before checking for leaks. They recommend the sewer checks, but I did not find out until after the check was done that I needed to have a cleanout installed. I feel like the cleanout cost should have been known before the foundation work was done. I would have appreciated knowing about that up front. The technicians who came out were very professional and did great work. They were very efficient and unobtrusive. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

Very professional and straightforward. Gave us an honest un-biased foundation assessment and didn't just automatically try to sell us an expensive pier solution, in an industry full of companies that do in fact operate this way. Highly recommend.

It went well. He let me know that the foundation looked OK to him for now. He gave me very useful information of what I could do to protect the foundation so there would not be future problems. He even provided written documentation customized to my needs. It was a worthwhile experience and I really appreciated all of his advice.

He took measurements of the foundation and was very informative about what the differences signified. The one side of the foundation is not getting enough moisture but is still within specs so he gave me a 20minute a day watering plan which we have been following except for rainy days. We have yet to call him to remeasure to see if the plan was effective.

So far they have given us an estimate for what we need done. The estimate is for $5,300.00 to have where the front of the house has dipped repaired. He gave me a detailed description of the inspection report. They are also repairing some foundation cracks. We expect them back out to start the service August 18th. The technician was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I really liked him and how helpful he was. My husband was not home at the time but the technician was happy to explain everything to him over the phone. I have had no problems contacting the company or scheduling their services.

These guys are honest and thorough. They inspected my foundation, made a few recommendations for services their company didn't provide, and went on their way. It's refreshing to find someone who doesn't try to sell you services you don't need.

Great guy that lives close and very responsive. Has a great personality and made the process smooth and quick. If foundation work is needed in the future he's the one I'll call.

Extremely well. Jeff was courteous, knowledgable and punctual. It's hard to find a foundation company that will look at your home, find some minor issues and not suggest repairs. I plan to use this company for periodic inspection and will definitely use them for any required repairs.

After purchasing the foundation inspection and preventative watering plan coupon from Angie's List, Kevin Proctor arrived promptly to our residence. We are new to Texas, and did not know much about foundation maintenance. Kevin demonstrated a high level of knowledge, which he readily shared with us. We provided him with diagrams of the piers put under part of the house by the previous owners. Before we purchased the property, we had a foundation assessment done by another company. That company had provided a clean bill of health for the recently installed piers. However, we had become worried because a crack had grown through the lobby of our foyer. Kevin conducted extensive measurements and assessments, and indicated the crack was a symptom of last year's piers settling. As a symptom of his professionalism, he not say anything negative or adverse about the previous foundation assessment company, nor about the engineers who installed the piers. Instead, he just advised what we needed to do to take care of the situation. His measurements indicated that the settling was done, and that replacing the tile would be all that was required. What a relief! He also conducted a thorough inspection of our watering system, advising where we needed to adjust sprinklers to better provide the moisture necessary for continued foundation health. He spent a lot of time walking through specifics and ensuring we understood. This was also more than an foundation inspection. He advised us about trees in our yard, and how their water-hogging tendencies were much more worrisome to the foundation than tree root systems. We did not know that! He advised us on how much water they needed, and left us with a solid plan of action to keep the foundation in good shape. At no point did we get the sense that Kevin was trying to get more work for his company. I was relieved that there were no major foundation issues other than some minor cracks in a wall. The watering plan was very helpful. I would recommend them.

Having a 1950's ranch house, cracks appear from time to time so I have the foundation inspected yearly. The $49.00 deal from A-1 was a very good deal indeed. The appointment was scheduled within three days of purchase. Jeff called the morning of the appointment and was able to come early. He inspected foundation inside and out and went under the house. Everything checked out okay and the new cracks were nothing out of the ordinary. That evening I had an email from him with the report attached. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. Very pleasant to deal with.

It was super and they were very professional. They did everything that I wanted them to do. They found everything to be satisfactory. I was super pleased with them and they showed up on time. The scheduling was fine and I had no complaints with them.

My experience was just fine. I have used them in the past. Their advice was proven useful and helpful. They followed up after the inspection and gave me a written of what they found.

Due to a water leak they recommended that I wait until the leak was fixed and the ground under the house(pier and beam) was completely fry and call them back to check again. I appreciated their honesty and recommendations, The leaks have been repaired, I will be calleing them back out after the recommended 5 months drying time.

Everything done was to my satisfaction,Jeff had 2 crews out here to get the job done in 2 days.they were all very kind and courteous and hard working. All the work was done and then some work was done that was not in the contract but I was not charged for the extra.On the day of completion the clean up was outstanding, you would have never none that they were their. All in all they did a great job,in fact they are coming back to level my shop.I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done.

You purchased the deal and never heard from the provider. I called them and left a message which wasn't returned.

They were great to deal with. The entire staff was courteous and informative. They even went above and beyond to repair a mortar crack that wasn't present in the original inspection or part of the contract without any additional cost.

Steve Greenhill was the representative that came to the house. He completed extensive measurements inside and out and talked to me about how to prevent future issues which gave me piece of mind. I received a fully detailed drawing of the home and the measurements of the foundation and a watering plan. Thank you Steve, you were professional and very informative. Well worth the money and I would definitely use this company if I have any foundation issues or concerns.

Provider was helpful, friendly and got under the pier and beams of the house. That dark place you know, the one that is still and scary and dirty, it didn't daunt him. He zipped up some chemical looking suit and dove into the man hole. He didn't actually dive, but he had no fear on his way down basically. He wore that chemical suit like a champ, and didn't get dirt anywhere in the house when he surfaced. Very nice. Cracks appear in the wall of our newly smoothed and painted house, and doors close like ghosts are stalking you sometimes, but he assuaged all of our fears and proved that nothing was wrong with our foundation. All of our crazy randoms are all just a fact of living in a 1940s pier and beam home. Technician was extremely friendly. He provided a drawing of the house and suggested a drip line around our home. Worth the money for the Angie's List deal. Piece of mind all the way.
