Al was a little difficult to contact by phone, but once I was able to get a hold of someone at his work number, they told me to send him an email. Once I was in contact with him by email everything went swiftly and smoothly. Al came by my house the same day I emailed for a quote, and left a written estimate on my front door. After a few follow-up questions (to which he responded very promptly) we scheduled a date and time for the installation. My lawn was marked for gas/cable lines the night before, so his crew didn't accidentally dig anything up during the installation. He showed up promptly at 7:15am with his crew and they got straight to work. They were all finished by 4pm, including the stone edging. He showed me how to work the programmable timer, and gave me some tips that would make my system last longer without needing maintenance. He (and his crew) were very professional. He filed the appropriate permits, so I know I won't have any problems with the city later, unlike my neighbor, who apparently used a cheaper, less professional company that installed their sprinklers not to code. While I'm sure he's not the least expensive, his price was very good, and the work was very professionally done. When I need my backyard irrigated, I'll be using his company again.

As promised, they showed up between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM and got right to work. They took a break for lunch and resumed working until almost 5:00 PM. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and Al explained in great detail how to use the automated system. I was very impressed and highly recommend Gulf Coast Sprinkler. The crew has been with Al for many years and they work seamlessly as a team. All know their individual tasks and all workers were extremely polite.

They delivered a quote within a week of calling them, and answered all my questions clearly. I approved the job, and in the midst of the worst drought I've seen in Houston, they came out within 2 weeks and installed the system. They installed the entire watering system in 1 day. Al was here personally to oversee the work. They were neat and clean inspite of having to make quite a few trenchs. They installed sprinklers for a thin strip by the driveway, that I had told them they could skip, because he was concerned that I would not have irrigation on both sides of the driveway. He took the time to walk us through how to set up the controller, even though he already had it programmed, carefully expaining how to easily handle variations from dry to wet seasons, and how the rain sensor works. He then demonstrated each zone and walked us around to witness the coverage and make sure each sprinkler worked. I'm thrilled.

It took a few days for them to return the call because of all the business they've received. They provided me with a couple of days when they had openings to perform the work, then, when an unexpected opening freed up they called to see if they could come over right then. This worked for me and I met them at my house. While the workman were fixing the broken pipe, they looked over my entire system and made some suggestions. They fixed the leaking pipe and ensured that everything worked properly before they left. They re-set my timer and reviewed that system. Very professional, very personable.

I called John based on his ratings on Angie's List. My sprinkler system had several zones which were not working. I spoke with John on Friday and he said that they were very busy due to the draught and would be in my area mid-week. He promised to call ahead. True to his word, John called me on Tuesday afternoon. They arrived shortly before 4:00 pm. They found numerous problems, including some shoddy work done by our previous company that had come loose underground. They worked until about 7:00 pm and everything was working when they left. They had to do a lot of troubleshooting, re-wiring, replace some sprinkler heads and add another item that allowed them to run a second zone off one set of wires since the last contractor put too many splices in the longest run and chasing all of them down would have been cost prohibitive. The cost of that trip was $381.00. On the following Saturday I discovered that none of my zones were working. I called John and he said they would come out the first of the week. He suggested several things I try to make sure it was nothing simple. They came out on Monday evening and discovered that the control panel had gone out. He attempted to repair it, but ultimately it was cheaper to replace. He also had to repair some other splices that had come undone and were not a problem on the previous trip. John kept me informed the entire time as to what was going on, where my problems were, what my future problems may be (due to the shoddy work by the previous contractor), and what my future options might be. Although the pricing may not have been as low as I might have liked, I went with the low price last time and got "hosed". I am now paying the price - literally. John was honest, and I felt confident in his knowledge. He even commented on how the last installer sold me the higher priced wireless rain sensor when the less expensive wired one would have worked fine based on the location of my control panel and would provide longer and more reliable service. I will definitely use John and Gulf Coast Sprinklers in the future.

John came out and I showed him the concerns I had related to the sprinkler system in our yard. He and his partner got to work on them immediately and did not waste any time repairing the problem areas. They were fantastic! I know who I'll call in the future should we ever have another sprinkler issue--Gulf Coast Sprinklers in League City! We're very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs sprinkler repair work done!

He is so fast. They are very responsive. He gets out there in one or two days. He is very good about telling me yes this is the problem or no it's not even a sprinkler issue. He has also came out one time when I had lots of water in my backyard and I thought it was my sprinklers but it turned out to be my neighbors sprinklers which he didn't charge me for. He is just a good guy. He's efficient, dynamic as far as how fast he gets things done, and seem's to know what he's doing. Any repairs he's done for me has stayed repaired. He works with me as far as my landscaping needs like raising heads of sprinklers to get into pots so he has been very inventive and helpful when it comes to adjusting my needs of my garden changes. I have recommended him and given out cards.

When we called for an estimate Al Peltz came to our home and explained exactly what we needed and what it would cost with the options we chose. Mr. Peltz was present during the entire install which made us feel very confident. He gave us photos of all digging sites so we can refer to these if necessary. Permits were obtained for us in advance, and an inspection was arranged after completion of job. We were very pleased with the professional way in which all aspects of the installation was performed. The men doing the labor were very neat and careful with our property. When we called a few weeks later with a question about the watering schedule someone came out the next day to check everything out. I highly recommend this company.

I had called over a dozen other lawn irrigation suppliers prior to being referred to Al. He was the only company to show up when he was supposed to and walk me through a quote. I happily accepted his quote since it was in alignment with what I expected to spend. He was able to schedule me within a week (a small miracle considering that it is summer). The morning of the installation, he and his team showed up precisely on time and began hand digging my lawn to put the pipes in. I left Al and his team with the code to my garage and headed to work. When I got home that day, I was astounded at how good my lawn looked. You could hardly tell that they had dug up part of the lawn. The next day, Al met with the city inspector and got the approvals and I am a proud owner of an irrigation system. Al even met me after work the next day to show me how to program and run the system. He brought with him the latest city ordinance on the next water restrictions and helped me program my system to be in compliance. A week later and even with the watering restrictions, my lawn looks great. Even the areas where they had to dig are growing back nicely. I could not be more pleased with Al and his team. They were very professional and I didn't worry at all about leaving my lawn in their hands. I only wish that I had met Al earlier so I wouldn't have had to struggle for so long with hoses to try and keep my lawn alive.

Very responsive contractor. Listened to what I needed for water coverage and worked to make that happen utilizing my existing system. Did not pressure me to do a complete ( and often costly) evaluation of my system, as has been my experience with other contractors in the past. The work was done quickly, neatly, and professionally. I have many plants in pots and raised heads were used to give maximum coverage. Lawn rotors and broken spray heads were replaced as needed. John also gave me good advice about watering various areas. I am extremely pleased and will use this company for all my future sprinkler needs.

THEY ALWAYS COME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO REPAIR ANY PROBLEM THAT I HAVE WITH MY SYSTEM. THEY HAVE THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIRS WITH THEM SO THEY DO NOT WASTE TIME GOING FOR PARTS. JOHN ALWAYS ANSWERS HIS CELL PHONE AND COMES EITHER THAT DAY OR THE NEXT DAY TO CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM. HE ALWAYS CHECKS OUT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM TO FIND ANY PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE NOT NOTICED.
