Response from ZODEGA-TIS
[member name remove], Thank you for the review and we apologize for your experience. After reviewing your file this is what I see: You purchased a tune-up on 6/4/2014. A tune-up, as defined clearly on Angie's List, is adjusting all of your heads, adjusting your nozzles, setting your controller for current seasonal conditions and reporting all damage. My office manager responded to your purchase in less than 24 hrs on 6/5 and scheduled you for 6/19 (which you agreed to). On 6/19 we performed the tune-up. We arrived on time and completed the work as scheduled. Your paperwork was back in the office on 6/20 (Friday, the morning after your appointment) and your report was emailed on 6/23 (Monday). I sent the report myself and it read as follows, "Good day, I hope that all is well when this finds you. As you know, Taylor Irrigation Service recently performed a system tune-up on your property. After reviewing your system this is what we found: All in all your system is in rough shape. Only three of the seven zones on site are functional (zones one, three and seven) and they seem to be doing okay. I am inclined to credit 50% of the cost of your tune-up because I just cannot see charging you full price for the three zones. The system is also missing a backflow device which is not only state code, it is state law (it protects your tap water from contaminants on the lawn). We can estimate renovating the system or installing a new system but going with a new system would probably be ideal to get away from any other issues or surprises that may be hidden. Please let me know how you would like to proceed." That report was thorough, complete and sent to you in a timely manner. I took the initiative to credit 50% of your cost because of the condition of your system (even though you live in Friendswood which is quite a drive). Also note that we do not service the Friendswood area which is made clear right here on Angie's List. So in summary; we took your job even though you were outside of our service area by a long ways, we responded within 24 hrs, we showed up to our appointment on time and completed the work requested, we provided a timely and thorough report of your system, we took the initiative to offer a 50% discount to you because so much of your system did not work... and your report is that we did absolutely nothing? Our grade for this is an "F"? If there is something that I am missing I would certainly love to hear it. I have no other emails, phone calls or correspondence of any kind from you. Again, I apologize for the way you feel but respectfully disagree with it completely and stand by everything I am writing in this response. We wish you well. John A.
