We thought that we had a water leak because we had water buildup on one side of our yard. We looked on Angie's list and found that Taylor Irrigation Services had very consistent, Grade-A reviews so we gave them a call. We are so glad that we did. When John Taylor arrived he did a thorough assessment of our system and let us know that there were no leaks. He explained that we had been overwatering that side of our lawn and pointed out two reasons: 1.) that part of our system has spray heads which put out a lot of water, and 2.) since it was so late in the season and we have St. Augustine grass (dormant in late October), that side needed little or no water, anyway. In fact, because of the overwatering we had developed a case of brown patch fungus. John took the time to explain the situation and how to correct it. He also adjusted all of our watering stations at the control box and adjusted spray heads that were out of alignment. The next day he also sent an email detailing what he had discussed with us. Using his suggestions we have corrected the problem using fungicide and fertilizer. This guy is good! We will definitely use him for all of our future irrigation needs.

John Taylor returned my call promptly, scheduled a visit and arrived at the time he had promised. Once on site he evaluated my irrigatio n system and explained to me in great detail the extent of my problems. he called the next day with a price quote and we scheduled a time for the work to be done. He met with his crew on site to ensure that they understood the work to be done. THe job was started and completed as scheduled.John returned to the site and covered with me the work done and answered any questions that I had. He even discovered a sprinkler head that had been damaged by my yard crew and sent a member of his crew out the next day at no charge to replace the head. He encouraged me to call him at any time on any questions that I might have. Overall a very pleasent experience.

They came out right away as they were in the area. They did the work quickly and at a fair cost. They gave very good suggestions as the previous installer had the system set strangely.

I could not more highly recommend an irrigation company. John Taylor, and his crew, are knowledgeable and professional as well as willing to take the time to explain and educate the homeowner. As testimony to my positive review I plan on having Taylor Irrigation return and retrofit the extensive, and relatively new, irrigation system we have in our backyard. Although the backyard system works reasonably well and was installed by an A-list landscaping company, I have been so impressed by the state-of-the-art system Taylor installed that I am willing to pay the additional cost to have Taylor redo our backyard system. Taylor Irrigation is not the cheapest contractor, but you do get what you pay for. Given the long-term savings associated with their state-of-the-art systems, you can expect to recoup this initial investment in water bills and plant replacements over the years. We have many tens of thousands of dollars invested in our landscaping and we consider the irrigation system cost as insurance.

John checked out the whole system and found that there was debris in one of the valves that was causing the water leak in one of the sprinkler heads. He cleared out the debris and made sure everything was working correctly. He also let me know that there were some more efficient sprinkler heads available for my system that would save me money on my water bill. Since I'm a DIY'er on that type of job, he sent information on the exact model number of sprinkler head that he recommended and told me how to replace them. He explained everything that he did thoroughly and professionally and he didn't try to sell me things that I didn't need. If I need sprinkler repairs in the future, I will definitely call on John at Taylor Irrigation.

My wife called Taylor Irrigation and requested a quote for additional irigation in our back yard and around the sides of the house. John responded promptly and stopped by to look over the yard. He then forwarded us a quote which was less than some we had, but higher than others. What made the quote impressive was John Taylor's very honest admission that other contractors could, or would do the job cheaper, and that several of those contractors would do a good job. He even gave us a couple of names that he would recommend. John mentioned that our back yard was relatively plain and that if we added or improved the landscaping he would suggest a second quote. I had John come out to do an audit on my existing system and he was fantastic. Most importantly, he was prompt and extremely professional. He certainly knows what he is talking about and seems to have a passion for the job. He was also very engaging and just a plain nice guy. He fixed a couple of broken heads, adjusted my system and watering times for $60. He also sent me a lot of very good information to assist in keeping the system set properly and running efficiently. I plan to have him do our additional work once we are ready, as I feel that I can trust him to do excellent work and give me honest answers and a fair price. I would highly recommend giving John a call.
