It ended up being that a concrete splash guard at the end of the downspout was sitting on top of one of the sprinkler heads. The technician who came out was extremely helpful with his information answering all of our questions as he did the work. He said he would bill is later for the one hour of labor. He answered so many unrelated irrigation questions, again he was so helpful. He was punctual, professional, courteous, and friendly.

John was very professional. I had numerous questions before, during, and after completion. John is what he says. He is very customer focus, with detailed explanation. I felt like a bother, but I really wanted to understand, and had concerns since this is not my field expertise. He was very non judgmental and never made me feel that any question was stupid. I decided at the last minute to put in a whole house generator, and with ongoing communication John was very flexible with the schedule. Once we were ready John team did a great job of not trying to disturb landscape, and my front yard really looked like almost nothing had been done. I did lose just a few spots, but the grass quickly grew and took care of that. I really did not understand the kind of system I bought and when John worked around with my work schedule and show me how every worked, how it was different from other systems and how "Smart" the system was I was so glad I spent the money for such an overall long term investment. I am planning to stay in my house for many years. I am so glad I did not cheap out. This system is very impressive and I know that when water goes on my lawn, it will be for my lawn and not run off and go into the street with lots of waste. I hate paying for thing, and wasting things I do not use.. If you want an irrigation system this is the company and system you want. Do not hesitate, he is and does what his company says it does, and he is very focus on customer satisfaction.

Mr. Taylor called and made the appointment to come by the house and arrived at the time/date scheduled. Instead of charging me a huge amount to reconnect the wire, he suggested that I spread the word about this work. HAPPY to do so! Needed an irrigation company to repair a sprinkler which had sprung a leak. Called several companies which were booked. John Taylor responded quickly. His technician Brian was able to stop the gusher. After looking at the entire sprinkler system we came to the conclusion that several other sprinkler heads were either buried in bushes/shrubs which needed to be raised or relocated. Spray patterns were adjusted accordingly and the entire irrigation system is functioning properly. Communication was easy and comfortable. You are a fine business man to work with. Wish there would be many more business oriented people like you around. Would make problem solving so much easier. Thanks for your help.

John is, without question, the most knowledgable irrigation person I have ever found. He knows this business inside and out and can find a solution to ANY situation, and even if other providers have said the only solution is to add another clock or expensive other equipment, John can find a way to solve it, and very reasonably priced. He is the best of the best. And very fair in his pricing. He is also extremely dedicated to his profession and is on top of the latest equipment and innovations in the industry. I highly recommend him.

It's pretty difficult to get anyone to come do an estimate / look-over for a potential repair; John was pretty much the only one I found that was willing to do it. Being a sprinkler system novice, I definitely appreciated the initial visit, explanation, and estimate. I was able to schedule the actual repair to be done within a week, which was favorable turnaround compared to other companies that I contacted. The first was a major leak in the main lateral line for an entire zone; it took several hours of digging against the roots of some palm / sago palm trees. Another line was in danger of a similar fate in the near future, so they took care of that at the same time. Unfortunately, the initial repair identified a leak further down the zone, but they came back and repaired that it a timely fashion as well. There are slightly cheaper hourly repair rates out there, but I appreciated the additional service and thought it was well worth it.

I noticed my sprinkler system in front wasn't doing a very good job....I had another company from Angies list come out first...they told me I needed 8 new sprinkler heads added to my existing ones (it's a small yard) and wanted to charge me $400.00. I decided to call Taylor Irrigation after reading the reviews and John came out right on time. He explained everything to me, told me that I needed 3 sprinkler heads replaced and it would be around $120.00 for everything. He didn't charge me for the estimate and even fixed a loose connection on my sprinkler controller that was causing my system to not even come on. I approved the work, his guys came out the next day (I didn't even know they were here) cause he had put flags for them to know what to do. I got an invoice in the email...paid it today. Can't get any easier than that! I will use them again!

This was the single best experience we have had with anyone that has provided service at our house in the last 8 years. totally professional, very friendly and extremely reasonable pricing. I was quoted an initial estimate of $180 or so for the work I wanted done. Once they arrived, I added some additional work to the job, and it still came in $30 under budget. Communication was great throughout. They arrived when they said they would. and the job took less time than estimated. They did a good job of explaining everything they were doing, and pointed out a couple of issues we didn't know we had. I would give them the highest possible recommendation to anyone needing work done on their irrigation system. cost was very reasonable and there was no mark up on the parts they installed. They charged me less than what I would be able to buy the parts for on my own. We were very impressed with the entire process.

Called John Taylor to come out and diagnose/repair the automated sprinkler system that was not turning on any of the eight zones. Received a quote of $200.00 and approved the work. The job was completed in 90 minutes and the system was fully operational again. Our puppies had managed to chew up some wiring and mangled a solenoid. John also noticed that some newly installed raised gardens enclosures had obstructed the spray pattern on a couple of sprinkler rotors. He re-positioned them so they would water correctly without hitting the raised garden enclosures. The final bill was $40.00 under the original quote. Will definitely use Taylor Irrigation again.

John Taylor and his group were totally professional. The product installed is of a very high quality. His installers were professional and curtiious at all times. John's knowledge of the system waa unquestionable. John was always quick to respond to any questions I had during the installation and came out afterward to explain the systme and answer any remaining questions that I had. Overall great experience.

Taylor Irrigation is an awesome company. We were totally impressed with the level of professionalism. Everything about our experience was positive - communication, quality, price, punctuality. From first contact and receiving a quote, to the crew arriving and working on our irrigation system to follow up after the work was completed - everything was done as indicated, on time, with quality and in the price range quoted. This is by far the best irrigation company we have ever worked with - and in fact the best of any repair/service company we have ever worked with. Seriously, the level of competence and professionalism is outstanding. We couldn't be happier with our improved irrigation system.

John Taylor came out to give me an estimate, and explained all the necessary steps that are needed to meet the State of Texas Code when installing an irrigation system. John is highly credentialed in the irrigation business and his expertise is superb. John cuts no corners, and had the necessary plumbing work done prior to installation, as well as some electrical work I needed to have done to accommodate the controller being mounted on the back wall of my townhome. He installs the appropriate high-quality, state-of-the-art heads to actually conserve water and prevent overwatering, which, no doubt, adds to the cost of his irrigation system, but John informed me of this fact during his visit, and explained why his system is more expensive. I had had a couple of other irrigation companies out to give me an estimate for the installation of an irrigation system, and John was definitely the most thorough in explaining the necessity of properly installing the system. He explained the need for the backflow preventer, which some older systems do not have. He informed me that it is now required by the State of Texas to install a backflow preventer on all irrigation systems in order to me the required Code and to prevent contaminated water from the outside mixing with the water coming into the house for human consumption and use. As I live in a townhome, and do not have my own water meter, because I pay for my water through my monthly Association maintenance fee, John explained to me that spending the extra money to install his system which is designed for water conservation and to save the owner considerable money on his/her monthly water bill, may not be worth the extra cost for me. John even offered to personally check the installation of an irrigation system should I decide to go with another less expensive irrigation system to make sure that it was installed according to the irrigation Code of Texas. I appreciated his care and honesty in this regard. John's passion for water conservation, and a properly working irrigation system is of utmost importance to him and is very obvious. However, I told John that in my case, spending the money to install a good system that is designed to conserve water, but obviously costs more, made no difference to me. Because of the many years of abuse from certain unprofessional Association board members and management company, whereby my rights as a homeowner were and have been violated and neglected, along with obvious discrimination of services that should be, and should have been, afforded me under the governing documents of the Association by way of my timely, monthly payment of the Association maintenance fee, I told John that it was important for me to know that my system was designed to conserve water; thus these unprofessional individuals would have no basis for a complaint that I was 'using too much water' to water my front yard. Late last summer, after over five years of having a dirt front yard (which was not the case for the majority of the property, and was obviously an isolated, targeted area of the property), I personally paid a landscaper to landscape my front yard and a partial area in the side courtyard adjacent to my townhouse. John does all the preliminary work needed to make the installation/operation of his irrigation systems meet the State of Texas Code. So, spending the extra money for an excellent irrigation system with state-of-the art equipment was no problem with me. John also informed me that his workers go to school to be licensed as irrigators, so everyone is very knowledgeable on the proper installation. The work crew arrived on time the morning of installation, and were very courteous, and mindful of the landscaping I had done. They were concerned with pleasing me with the installation of the system. The three workers installed the system in a day, and put everything back as it was before they had to dig the trenches for the system. It was amazing! Miguel set the controller per John's instructions before the workers left, and John returned a couple days later to explain the operation of the controller to me--which is actually very minimal. The system has a rain gauge which communicates with the system, indicating to the system when a scheduled watering is not necessary because of a recent rain, or in the case of cold weather, when the temperature reaches near freezing. John also offered to come back should any changes occur, such as a change in time caused by daylight savings time, which may necessitate an adjustment to the controller. I was so thoroughly pleased with John's care, compassion, understanding of my situation and patience with me (who knew nothing about the installation/operation of an irrigation system), and I am so glad that I met John Taylor and have the confidence knowing that I have a very good system working for me which takies care of my landscaping, as well as someone who cares about his work after installation. John's company will also return every season for the first year to check my system to assure it is performing at its best. It was truly a pleasure working with John! He is so nice and is the best in his business, and I would recommend him to anyone who is considering installing an irrigation system or needs repairs to an existing system. It was a very pleasant experience.

I recently purchased a home built in 1992 and found out the sprinkler system didn't work. I called Taylor Irrigation Service and the owner stopped by to check it out and fixed it on the spot! He was responsive, timely, and had an excellent working knowledge of a somewhat dated system. I was at work at the time, so he called me to tell me what he did and later emailed me pictures with explanation of what he did. The service was outstanding! So was the price! All my neighbors are applauding! My grass is starting to turn green again!!

John made sure to lay pipe during the concrete phase of our renovation. He has followed up with us routinely, and he will complete the irrigation work after the renovation is complete. We have been extremely satisfied with Taylor Irrigation Services, and we have no doubt that our completed system will be top notch.

After he came to our house and conducted a thorough assessment, John Taylor gave us a quote for revamping our entire system. They worked very efficiently and a lot of work was done for the amount charged. John came over afterward to adjust seasonal watering times and to demonstrate and explain the "new" system.We are completely satisfied! What we were most impressed with: even though our system was in a sad state of repair, John did not try to sell us a new system but instead repaired and optimized what we already had in place. We were having issues with our sprinkler system. Broken pipe, excessive leakage and a few minor things like sprinkler coverage etc. We called Taylor Irrigation and immediatly were given an appt date to have them come out (1 day later) and check out the problems. We had a small glich with scheduling but was able to remedy/postpone to come out the next day. Mr. Taylor showed up on time and assessed the work that needed to be done. Mr. Taylor was able to give a quote that day and even had time for the crew to come out and fix all the issues immediatley (within 2 hours of the quote!). They did all the work, they cleaned up well after the job and were extremely professional. Needless to say - we were very happy. They sent the invoice that evening - with complete and clear details of the job/work they had just completed for us. We would definitely recommend Taylor Irrigation.

I called to get a system check on an irrigation system for a house I am planning on selling. I received a prompt call back and quick date to have the system looked at. Owner showed up at the house on time and was very professional and seemed very knowledgable. His workers came a few hours later to complete agreed upon repairs, and I was told the invoice will be sent electronically. So refreshing to be treated this way! Will definitely keep the name and number for any further work.

this is the best guy for your system. he willsave you money and do the best job. He told me how to set up the timers for free and did the work fast and cleaned up everything so well, I did know he finished it!
