The Clutter Fairy will tackle any size of job, and do so professionally and without judgment. We just want you to achieve your goals for getting organized in the fastest and most fun way possible. We carry away anything you want to donate or have recycled at the end of each appointment, so you don't have to make the trip. We'll respect your home and your contents, and we never dispose of anything without your permission. We promise to treat you and your things with kid gloves, and make the process as painless and stress-free for you as possible.

Services we offer

Residential and Small Business Organizing. Residential organizing includes all rooms in the house, plus garage and storage units. Small Business organizing includes organizing office spaces, desks, storage and utility rooms. The Clutter Fairy will help prepare for, pack and unpack for a move. The Clutter Fairy is also available to speak to groups about organizing.

Services we don't offer

The Clutter Fairy doesn't provide cleaning services like a maid service would provide. We also like to skip attics and garages during the hot summer months. We would prefer to handle those assignments between September and May.

Gayle and her crew of two changed my life. They worked for 6 hours with a short break for lunch. They touched almost every item in 3 rooms (approx 700 sq ft) that we agreed on in advance would be the focus of the decluttering effort. And these weren’t rooms that one would see in most homes. Our home had a major remodeling effort 3 years ago but before completion, I got sick and am only now starting to try to put things back together. In the meantime, there was construction materials haphazardly distributed, there was paper and paper trash on much of my living room floor, kitchen cabinet parts that needed to be identified before deciding whether they could be trashed, a treadmill that needed to be moved (it was on wheels), a jillion bottles of vitamins of which they checked expiration dates, etc. etc. I had hired an organizer before (for the same price as Gayle) but she only sat next to me at my computer desk and gave me advice with almost no touching of paper or home items happening on her watch. I think Gayle and her crew must have touched and categorized every item in the 3 rooms including inside kitchen drawers and inside my kitchen pantry which was quite disorganized. They always asked first if there was some doubt about whether item should be trashed or where it should be stored. Gayle is one of those gems that are rather rare. Most of the time, I feel I get what I paid for on Angie’s List but with Gayle, I feel like I got much more. Hope she doesn’t burn out so I can hire her again when I’m ready to continue.
Description of Work: Declutter and sort 3 rooms in my home (about 700 sq ft) that were in very bad dissarry with trash and clutter on every surface including the floor. (Long story on how it got that way).

Gayle Goddard is excellent. She is high energy and able to organize at a rapid rate. She gently encourages the home owner to consider getting rid of items no longer needed or used. She has an only monthly Meet up on YouTube. She is witty and pleasant to work with.
