Second 2 None Remodeling

At first Mr. Reyna showed up on time and began work on bathroom. He removed old tub and built the shower which took time and expertise. But two weeks into job he had transmission problems and used the down payment I'd given him for supplies to fix that. He resumed work and finished the shower, but as time went on he would come late, just stand around and leave frequently for hours to go home because his wife called him to take care of his kids. These delays pushed work into February so he was very much running behind. He built the new part of the cabinet, installed the TV and then work just got slower and slower and then he began asking for money to buy supplies telling me he had emergencies at home & had spent all the down payment & I could take the cost off the final payment when he was finished. It was time to install the marble and faucet to finish the bathroom. But instead I got a phone call that the place he was going to buy it was not in business now and he needed to find a new store to buy it...and that was the last time I heard from Mr. Reyna. I called and called but he would not answer his phone. He never came back to finish his job, never called to say he would not do it nor did he give me a reason why he just stopped working and could not fulfil his contract with me. That left me with a pile of junk from the tearout that I had to get rid of which was part of his contract to dispose of. It left me with no water in my bathroom since there were no faucets..no countertop...no mirror. And it left me now to try and find someone else to finish the bathroom and the rest of the rooms he had contracted to renovate. This man had a great website, was knowledgeable and did good work up to when he just stopped working. From my research I thought I'd hired a reputable business, but I was sure wrong. It is now July, and he still has not ever called or written me to even apologize. I had to hire someone to rush in and finish his job and I think of him daily as I use the bathroom he began.
