Fresh start landscape provided us with an estimate for a sprinkler system for our home. Their quote was competitive with other quotes that we had received. Based on reviews, they do good work and people are very pleased with them...we just went with a different route.

From the first phone call Doug and Cricket were a delight to work with. Every call was either answered or returned quickly. The first visit Doug spent almost three hours drawing plans for our yard. He provided an immediate estimate. We worked together to refine his plans over the next couple of weeks. He was extremely patient with all questions and requests. His work crew was wonderful. Our yard is gorgeous!

The crew was very polite, hardworking and fast. The job took about 2 hours once they arrived on site. This seemed very quick to me as I would have still been moving the 150 stones in that length of time! I would use this company again and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I contacted three landscape companies to get a quote for a spring clean up in the yard. It needed a lot of work, including hedge trim, weeding, mulching, pruning, and plant removal. We needed a plan for new plants, as well as new spring color. The first two companies came out and provided a quote, but never returned a phone call to answer questions or schedule the work. Fresh Start Landscaping scheduled a visit to discuss the scope of work, showed up on time, provided a quote on the spot and scheduled the work to begin on my time frame. I had some follow up questions about the quote and they responded immediately with answers. I couldn't be happier with the work they did. They arrived on time with an experienced crew. The plants they brought were healthy and appropriate for the area (shade plants and sun plants). The work was done quickly and professionally with the entire job being completed in one day. I would recommend Fresh Start Landscapes to any one in the area.

Fresh Start Landscapes did exactly what I wanted, when I wanted and they did a fabulous job. Angie's List did it for me again. I was impressed that they followed what I wanted and didn't try and steer me in other ways. I had seen 2-3 other people and everyone wanted to do it their way. They were on time and they gave me an estimate and stuck to it. I made minor adjustments as they went and they did those but didn't charge me extra. I was just very impressed.

Doug Perry presented a thorough plan for all services needed. He responded to my call promptly and in a professional manner. His estimate was reasonable but higher than our budget would allow so we chose another landscaping company.

They performed the services when they were supposed to, they worked around my schedule, they did great work, and had some great ideas. Doug the owner helped me design a great area. They also contacted the City so that they can come and do the inspection of the sprinkler system - most companies didn't want to file a permit to do that. They are great in some areas but lacking in a few areas. For example...I decided to go with this company because they promised that they would not kill the Holly tree in my front yard. However, that was the first thing they did when they got there - they did it right in front of me. I was not happy about that.

Pretty Well. The crew was efficient and professional. They didn't quite get the slope of my backyard fixed and I am still have water puddling issues. Everything else was as expected.

Entire job was finished in one day.

Prompt start as promised. Crew worked hard. Completed all work in a timely manner. It is fair to say they "over-delivered". Highly recommended and will likely use again when ready.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Doug is very knowledgeable of plants and very creative. He added two stone walkways which alleviated the two problems I had with my front yard. I was amazed at his creativity, and after Doug looked at my front yard and the two "issues," he created my new front yard in about 45 minutes and gave me a quote for the work at that time. Doug and his crew arrived on time the day the work was to be done. Doug's crew are wonderful and very caring and wanted to please. The crew are very hard workers, and they did the job in the time Doug had told me it would take. They cleaned up everything before leaving. With the old plants that were removed, the new plants to be planted, supplies, equipment, stone, dirt and mulch that they worked with, when the crew left, there was no trace of anything but a beautiful new front yard! I am really pleased and have received many compliments on the new look! I wanted something beautiful and functional, and that was achieved! Thanks Doug, Cricket, Noe and crew!!!

I emailed this company to provide me a quote over 2 weeks ago and never heard back.

The service was quick. They put in the right system and they knew what was needed.

They were wonderful to work with. They were very good. They installed a sprinkler system with a timer. They came out and gave me an estimate and explained the things they thought were important. They emailed me a schematic of what they were going to do. When the gentleman came out to install it, he explained to me what he was doing. He took me around and showed me everything. He showed me how it worked and he showed me the timer. They were great to work with. I like the professionalism.

First they showed up without confirming asking lots of questions my wife could not answer. Then they dug up all the grass and laid the pipes to high that the city inspector would not give them and okay. They left our yard torn apart for days. Real eyesore for the nieghborhood. When we called to complain were told by Cricket nothing they could do the were at the "mercy" of the inspectors. They had come highly recommened by our neighbors a door down with the same yard layout. Wish we had checked Angie's list first. They came out 3 days after the inspector put up the white flags (okay)and covered up their mess. You would think that the crew would know how deep to lay the pipes down since they do this all the time. First Cricket boasted that they had a Gold star rating then when we asked her husband Doug he said they were no longer on Angie's list. Wish I had uploaded the pictures of how they left our yard. We had to resod everything after spending 4 months watering the lawn to keep the grass from burning durring our drought.

Overall, their service was good. I didn’t like the flowers they initially planted, but they resolved the issue after I contacted them.

He is my golfing buddy. He gives me a very good discount. He has done all the landscaping in my house. I would highly recommend him. He sends out a crew and supervises their work. He also put in the sprinkler system.

They did a great job and really worked with us on the price. They were very responsive and were very professional. They even did things that were pleasantly unexpected. For example, they removed all of my grass and put down new sod. He built an extra retaining wall (for free) because he had extra material which in turn made it hard for me to get my car out of the driveway. They came back, for no charge, and redesigned it so I could get my car out easily. This stuff was outside of the scope of the project we hired them for and all of these extras were for no charge! They are very customer service driven. I was going to install an invisible fence for my dogs, and their guys stayed after their work and helped me burry the line. They did this without me asking, they just saw me working on it and offered to help.

I was contacted by Cricket Perry and an appointement time was set up for someone to come to my home and take a look at the yard and give an estimate for the work I wanted performed. The appointment time came and went and I called them to see if maybe they had made a mistake or perhaps I had. All to no avail. I got an answering machine and they show that they're open from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Mon. - Sat. I have no idea what happened and can only wonder how they manage to stay in business when they're unable to answer the phone during posted operating hours or make scheduled appointment times. Yes it was unfortunate there was a miscommunication, but the fact remains that I was not notified as stated. The information as posted by the provider is not accurate. They screwed up when they scheduled the estimate appointment time and I was not contacted until Sunday. Simply stated they screwed up and I would not recomend them nor would I use them based on my experience with them. Tne owner/provider admitted to the mistake, but has chosen to deflect the responsibility for the miscommunication in an attempt to place blame on me. They had their chance and they screwed up.

I called them about a problem that I had with my lawn and talked to their representative for ten minutes. She suggested me to try a couple of things that might help. They did not do grass and lawn work. They had a $1500 minimum and she thought that the problem that I had didn't meet the minimum. She referred me to some other service provider. But, I thought that was absolutely lovely that she would take the time to offer some suggestions like watering and aerating which she didn't have to do. They were kind. They were more into doing sidewalks, patios and similar fancy stuffs rather than lawn maintenance. I would absolutely use their services in future if I had that kind of work.

I was completely let down with the quality of work performed. Much of what was agreed on was omitted. I was told that I should replace the entire irrigation system after putting in a new pool since my old system was sub-standard only to find that they re-used some of the old piping. I'm not even sure they didn't use some of the old valves since after completion nobody bothered to come out and walk me through it or show me where the valves were located or even see if we were satisfied with the job. Their biggest concern seemed to be getting the job done in the time alloted, rather than seeing that it was complete and as agreed upon. It was left up to one of the crew (English not their first language) to ask for a check on the way to their truck although I declined. I will say that the landscaping and some rock work they did perform looked nice.

I had a great experience with them. They were very professional. They finished the work on time and everything was clean afterwards. I would recommend them to anyone. We called them back and we had used their services earlier too. They had done the paving work for us before. They were excellent. I was very satisfied with them. The price was pretty high and could have been a little bit lower. They had to come back and refinish some of the things. I would use their services in the future too.

We hired Fresh Start because of the stand-out experience we had when they came to give us their estimate. The owner of the company came out to give the estimate, agreed to re-use the antique bricks we already had on site, was honest with us about what type of result we could expect, came up with a creative design idea, sketched it out, and provided a written estimate. It took us a while to decide to hire them, because the project cost 15 - 20% more than the 3 other companies we interviewed had quoted us. I was mostly satisfied with the result. Their crew was professional, however they skimped a little on the site prep by not excavating very deep, and not using a level to grade the land before they went about laying bricks. I might have given them an A if the cost had been more in-line with market rates, or if they had done a more thorough job of site preparation before laying the patio.

Turned out great. We have used Fresh Starts before and will use them again in the Fall to freshen things up. Perhaps add lighting to the back yard. The thing I liked is they do it right. No cutting corners and have great ideas for landscaping.
