ELECTRICIAN

I hired him because he was highly rated on Angie's List. He was honest and said he would fit me in between some of his bigger jobs. He did me a favor. He did a great job.

Long story short...he never called and showed up. If I had taken off work to be home for him, I would have REALLY been angry. Luckily I had house guests, and while they were put out just sitting there waiting for him (and waiting, and waiting), it didn't really cost me money. Obviously, since this has happened to quite a few others, he doesn't value other people's time and efforts to accommodate his schedule. I don't have a clue if it was the laundry list of items I wanted completed (which included getting in the attic on these hot Houston days) which he just didn't want to do or something came up... I really don't care. He could have either said he was not interested or called to say that his plans changed. This just blowing people off is RUDE and very UNPROFESSIONAL.

MR. JACKSON WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE ARRIVED ON TIME AND OFFERED A SUGGESTION AS TO THE LOCATION OF THE NEW OUTLET. THE WORK WAS DONE VERY WELL AND AT A REASONABLE COST.

Arrived on time. Checked problem, repaired. Done in about 1/2 hour or less.

It was great! He was on time, went straight to work and I had no mess to clean up. He explained a couple of things for me and made sure I was happy with the work. The lights I picked for the garage were standard and he suggested the photo cell (out of plain sight) so they would work dusk to dawn and I would have lights when I came in at night.

He does good work, quickly, for a good price. Can't ask for much more.

Wade answered the phone when I called and made an appointment for the next day. He did not offer a price over the phone, but neither did I ask. I knew that he was going to have to spend time trouble shooting, and based on what I read here, I trusted that his price would be fair. Wade arrived about 10 minutes early and went to work immediately. As others have noted, he does not engage in idle conversation, something that I appreciate. Part of the trouble shooting required removing the medicine cabinet. He replaced the cabinet but not the shelves and the contents. That was OK. However, he left drywall debris in the sink, on the counter, and on the floor for me to clean up. That's why I rated him B on professionalism. Installing the ceiling fan was not part of the original job. Wade agreed to do it without hesitation or complaint. Wade worked almost exactly 2.5 hours and charged $185 plus tax. This is less than I've paid for other electrical work.

He gave me the quote over the phone because he thought it would only be a few hours. He was here for seven hours. I wanted to give him more money but he refused. I was so pleased with the work and how hard they worked to get the lights installed I emailed my entire homeowners association so they could use him as well.

I called Electrician and he came promptly. A very nice guy and his prices are reasonable. In fact, I need to call him and have him do some other work for me.

I took the day off work, and Mr. Jackson did not show for 830 appointment. Called Mr. Jackson at 11am, and he stated that he would be there within an hour or two. After 2pm called back, and left message with his service. He still did not arrive or call back, so I left another message with the service at 5pm. No call back, did not come to the house. He also did not call back the next day. Mr. Jackson may do good work for some people, but it was discourteous and unprofessional to leave me hanging all day. There are a few others on Angie's List who had the same experience I did, but I took a chance anyway. I was wrong. He wasted my day, and he will likely waste one of yours if you call him.

The electrician that came out was very professional. I was actually able to leave him alone in my house. There were times that he showed up late but I knew that was because he was the type of worker that stayed as long as the job took.

Wade was the only electrician that returned my call promptly. I had called 4 electrician from Angie's List. He asked several questions to get an idea of what I needed. He quoted me $175 over the phone for the 3 projects I had. He showed up on time. He was very patience when discussing what my options were. He also gave me some advise on how to complete the bathroom. He was adamant that I get what I wanted and not just what he recommended. The job turned out to be a little more difficult that what he expected. He went above and beyond the job by patching up holes that were not part of the job. He charged me exactly what he quoted over the phone. He said that it would have cost less but the job was a little more difficult than expected.

In searched Angie's List and called Wade. I briefly described what we needed and scheduled a time for him to come out. He arrived as scheduled and immediately went to work. He is quick, thorough, and efficient. I provided him with a priority list and he addressed each item and moved to the next. He worked the entire time he was on site. He doesn't waste time or engage in a lot of idle chat. He didn't have the kind of 3 way switch I needed for one item, but told me what to purchase and explained how to install it (to save me the cost of bringing him back). He told me to call if I had any questions. Overall, this was an excellent experience. Wade turned out to be an excellent choice. I will not hesitate to call Wade for any future needs.

Electrician worked around some other contractors, not interfering with their work. He completed the GFCI work quickly. The dryer outlet presented him with problems due to proximity to the eaves in the attic. Funky framing and plumbing thwarted him for several hours, but he finally got the outlet in. Although the work was clearly more troublesome than he anticipated, and it was the day before a holiday weekend, he stuck with it and did not charge me extra.

He installed my doorbell too. He did a very good and I'd use him again.

This morning during the storm, I heard a "pop" and the lights and ceiling fan in my living room went out. Everything else remained on and functioning. I called Wade Jackson, the electrician, and 15 minutes later he called back, said he was about 15 minutes from my home and could he come by then to check out the problem. Fifteen minutes later he showed up and I explained the problem and showed him where the breaker box is located. He checked all the wiring in the breaker box and then started checking the plugs in my living room. It turned out all the breakers and wiring were fine, an outlet/plug had popped, it was originally installed as a GFI plug and he explained it quite thoroughly why that wasn't necessary. Changed the plug to the proper kind and installed the GFI plug outside where it was supposed to be installed. Now everything works very well.

I called and left a message. My call never was returned.

It went very well overall. I called in the morning and left a message. Wade called back shortly thereafter and said he could be at the house at 10:30 that morning. He showed up at 10:30, we discussed the problem - one of the breaker box switches kept tripping when we had our Christmas lights on. He checked the breaker box and the circuits to which the Christmas lights were connected. They were on the same circuit as the garage refrigerator freezer. The circuit did not have enough power to run everything so it kept tripping. He suggested that we move the frig off that circuit (which was also a GFI) so it would lighten the load on the original circuit. He took an extension cord and got the frig hooked up to another outlet. He checked the lights and other circuits in the breaker box and patiently explained why the circuit kept tripping. He tested other circuits and made sure everything was in working order. He charged only for the service call.

Wade replaced under cabinet florescent lights. He advised me over the time to purchase the lights at Home Depot. He showed up on time and worked efficiently. He educated us about the life of the lights we'd had, and how to get better use out of them. Three lights did not have to be replaced. He let us know that, rather than doing work unnecessarily. We will definitely put Wade Jackson on our list of people to call.

When I originally called, the answering service took my message and Wade called later and we scheduled for 12:00 pm on Saturday. By 1:30 pm on Saturday no one had shown or called, so I called the number and left a message to see if someone was going to show. The call was returned in about 30 minutes and I was assured that someone would arrive about 3:00 pm. The repairman showed shortly after 3:00 pm. Two of the outlets we wanted installed could not be done in the areas we had wanted. The repairman explained in detail why they could not be done. We ended up with three outlets, two in alternate locations. The light fixture was the wrong size and we opted not to have the installation done.

Great. He answered the phone on the weekend and we made an appointment for the week. He arrived on time, was quick and professional about his work, and explained everything to me in detail. He told me when I didn't need something and advised on future projects as well. I'll definitely use him from now on.

Went well. He called before to tell me he was coming. Very professional. Very quick.

How did it go? Wonderful! Wade was running late, but called to say so. He took the time to explain what was wrong as opposed to what I thought was wrong and saved me a lot of money in the process. I cannot say enough good things about the service and the price. Considering the time that it took and I had to run to the hardware store to buy some items, I was amazed by how little he charged for his services. I was expecting a much bigger bill. The amount charged would have been worth it just for the education that I received. I would whole heartedly recommend him.

Mr Jackson was running late but called in a timely fashion to let me know. He was able to come only 45 minutes past originally scheduled time. He answered all my questions.
